In Need of a Cowboy contains two novellas.
Ask Me Again, by Linda Lael Miller is about a rancher who suddenly and unexpectedly finds out he is a father when the child is dropped off to him. He is willing to take the child but not always sure how to deal with him. Lucky for him a burnt out social worker city girl moves in across the road and she is willing to help. A very easy romance and a good look at the difficulties of unexpected parenting of a child in a difficult situation is done with Miller's usual fine storytelling.
The Cowboy is an intense thriller/mystery by Heather Graham. A local cop and a cowboy FBI agent are involved in finding two young women who have disappeared. They wind up tracking a very bad criminal and his minions through the Florida Everglades with the help of tribal law enforcement. The descriptions of the Everglades were interesting and the plot is complex. The local cop and the FBI agent not only catch the bad guys but end up in a romance.
This pairing will broaden readers usual choices.

I was able to read this thanks to NetGalley. In Need of a Cowboy is a set of two novellas from Linda Lael Miller and Heather Graham. I enjoyed them immensely. Linda Lael Miller is one of my favorite authors. Heather Graham is a new to me author. I will definitely pick up another of her books.

Two very different but interesting novellas. First one is playing on trope of unknown son. Second on how first impressions are different from reality. Pick up for both.

A book with two great short stories. Great writing. Loved the characters. The first is a sweet romance, the second a suspense. Recommend reading theses lovely stories

This was such a great time! It reminded me of Hart of Dixie, which is one of my all-time favorite shows. I love the trope of the city girl moving to the small country town, and this book had such great comforting tropes that made it easy to read and fun too!

I absolutely loved this collection of two novellas. It is full of heart, romance, and a obviously COWBOYS.
The first novella, which is by Linda Lael Miller, is about a single dad and a woman who has been cheated in love. It isn’t a love story, it is more of a story about a family forming and strengthening bonds. I absolutely loved this. The romance is a bit toned down in it, but Gideon (the son) and the two dogs (Ollie and Trey).
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The second Novella by Heather Graham is about a cop and a FBI agent who fall in love meanwhile bringing down bad guys who run a trafficking ring.
This was full of adventure, action, and love. The trio made it a fun read. I wasn’t particularly aware of Heather Graham before reading this Novella, but now I can’t wait to read more of her.

There is nothing I enjoy more than reading a sweet romance and when that romance features a cowboy, I am one happy lady. 𝗜𝗡 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗪𝗕𝗢𝗬 was enjoyable from start to finish. I choose to read each romance between longer, heavier reads as a way to cleanse my reading palette and it was perfect. Both stories kept me engaged and were read in one sitting stories. If you love a good cowboy romance, this is the perfect book for you. TBR and Enjoy.
