I love this author's mysteries and thrillers and was really expecting something more akin to the books of hers that I have already read. This book was a compilation of two of Lisa Jackson's previous books "The Shadow of Time"and "Gypsy Wind". Although I appreciated the opportunity to read these, I was expecting more to the stories. Each story was enjoyable in its own way, but I prefer her mysteries and thrillers.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house Kensington Publishing and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.

Did not realize it was two stories in one. I tried really hard to read this but DNF after the first couple of chapters. Boring and did not hold my attention. Maybe I’ll give it another try in a couple of months.

This was an older version of books by this author. I enjoyed both stories. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I recommend this book.

This is a weird one for me. It’s actually 2 short stores in one and it’s not her normal thriller style. It’s like a second chance romance. It was ok. Not my han favorite.

I usually love to read Lisa Jackson, but was not happy with this book at all. I did.not like the 2 in 1 book, nor did I like the stories. They were bland and predictable.

This was such a let down for me. I got to 47% and decided to DNF. This book is entirely way too long. I couldn’t connect and wasn’t invested in the story. I haven’t ever read anything by Lisa that i didn’t enjoy so i may decide to pick it up later, but for now it’s a DNF.

Mara and Peter’s story had quite a few surprises, which is no surprise for this author. I felt the accusations and many obstacles they had to overcome, and people. Who would have thought a dead man would affect so many lives. The intrigue and rekindling of Mara and Peter had me turning the pages to get to the climatic end. This was also a twofer. Gypsy Rose had the best characters, good and bad. I had never read anything from this author, but I couldn’t put it down. I was rooting for Becca and Brig from the start. The ending was a nail biter. I can’t wait for more. Book provided by NetGalley.

I was not aware that this was 2 short stories, but I was pleasantly surprised. My only issue was that this was thriller, but it really didn’t give off thriller vibes, more mystery vibes.

I expected this to be more thriller, but surprisely it is romantic. After this book, I'm going to read more of this author because I enjoyed the way it is written this book. It has two stories in one book. But sadly, I didn't like the stories. The writing is great, but I didn't feel connected to any characters.

It is kinda nice when earlier books get to have a chance to be rebranded and released for new readers to discover. I could tell these were dated but love is timeless, which is actually what these two stories are about. They are definitely more romance than thriller and pretty quick reads.
In the first story, you have Shane and Mara reconnecting, Mara having believed that Shane died four years ago. I felt that Shane was a bit too forceful, especially since he was the one that stayed away so long and did not return until Mara's husband had died. He did not give Mara much choice and even if she loved him, it is not great to give her the ultimatum to go with him or he would take her child. Though I will say that Shane did have real love for his daughter, so that off set it a bit.
I liked the second story much better with Becca and Brig and the racing horses. To me it seemed that Becca was taking more action and choices and seemed more equal with Brig. Plus, it was interesting to read about the horses and I was rooting for Gypsy Wind. Definitely a bit more thrilling with the scandal of Sentimental Lady.
So this was a fun book to read and I enjoyed it.

I wasn't expecting two different stories, but I liked them. Relaxing mystery for a comfy rainy or winter evening. Not sure which couple/story I liked more, not your normal Lisa Jackson novel.

I'm going to give this one a 3.5 with a round up to 4 stars. It's 2 previously released stories.
The first one is The Shadow of Time. This one absolutely drove me crazy. It started strong, but didn't end well. I couldn't relate to the FMC, Mara. She let's the MMC run all over her and not in a good way. She didn't stand up for herself with anyone in the story.
The second story is Gypsy Wind. This one I loved. It was interesting and kept me enthralled from the beginning. The FMC is a strong independent woman that can hold her own. She works well with the MMC and they solve the problems together.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lisa Jackson and Kensington Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

You'll Find Out by Lisa Jackson consists of two separate stories.
The Shadow of Time
Mara and Shane have a toxic relationship, communication issues, and perceived illusions of betrayal. He comes off as overbearing, controlling, manipulative, hot-headed, abrasive, bitter, jealous, vindictive, has violent and aggressive outbursts, and is quick to judge. She comes off as naive, obtuse, fickle, is an over thinker, and tends to procrastinate, paranoid, can appear weak willed and pathetic, but also deceptive and opportunistic. Their distrust and not being forthcoming with each other is pretty much the premise of the plot. This story is basically about two people who both have so many red flags, constantly hurl unfounded accusations, and shouldn't procreate end up being obsessed with each other and procreated.
Gypsy Wind
Becca Peters and her brother Dean, the owners of Starlight Breeding Farm, borrowed fifty thousand from Jason Chambers of Chambers Oil Company and bred a race horse, Gypsy Wind. The story opens with them finding out that Jason has died in a plane crash. Becca had history with his son, Brig Chambers, but had a falling out with him when there was a controversy at Sequoia Park with drugging a horse named Sentimental Lady, which Gypsy Wind takes after, six years prior in a race against Brig's horse. Becca and Brig reconnect and old secrets and resentments resurface.
Both stories reflect on past relationships, rekindling them, getting married, and having babies. They also both center around the misunderstanding or miscommunication tropes with strong, determined Main Male Characters and Omega women personality traits for the Main Female Characters. They almost reminded me of the old Harlequin romance novels you would buy at a drugstore.

This book started really good but it feels like halfway through the stpry changed and i didn't really get or understand how these new characters were added.

You’ll Find Out by Lisa Jackson is a collection of two thrilling tales. The first, The Shadow of Time is the tale of tragedy and re-connection. Mara said goodbye to Shane as he flew off to a dangerous assignment in Ireland. After several weeks, when she couldn't reach him, she heard the news that he had died in a tragedy of political unrest. Mara was devastated by the loss and that she would never be able to share the news that she was pregnant with his child. Four years passed before Mara found out that Shane was still alive, but Mara had married another. What would you do if the love of your life was presumed dead, disappeared for 4 years suddenly to return? The second tale, Gypsy Wind centers around Brig and Becca. Both are in the horse racing circuit, and the couple of the year, when tragedy struck. Both blamed the other and their relationship ended over it. Now, years later they have a reason to reconnect, but the road is full of twists and turns. The tales were both entertaining, but not as riveting as her other novels.

Initially I didn't realize this was two short stories but both were interesting so of course I'm all in! In the first, Imagination--a toy company--is at stake after the death of its founder, Peter. In the second we see a horse farm and an oil company. Both stories involve scandal and suspense--two of my favorite elements so I raced through them!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

You'll Find Out by Lisa Jackson is another gripping thriller.
This was a quick, fast paced thriller and I wasn’t surprised at how quick I finished this book.
It was a rollercoaster of a read, and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole way through. I literally couldn’t have guessed where we ended up at no matter how much I thought I had it figured out. The characters were well written, and the plot was insanely articulate.

Read about halfway and just couldn't get into it, everytime i put the book down due to daily life i had to convince myself, almost hype myself up to pick it back up because honeslty i just wasn't that invested in the outcome. I will try again later just incase it's just bad timing

You'll Find Out by Lisa Jackson is a reprint of two of her previous books. I hadn't read either one of this books before. I am use to reading her suspense thrillers, which is one of my favorite genres. Sadly although I found it to be a decent read, it was not a great read. I would still recommend it to others because I realize not everyone likes the same books.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

A new cover and title for 2 out of print Lisa Jackson novels; "The Shadow of Time" and "Gypsy Wind".
