I tried but could not get into this title. It was hard to read in the beginning and I tried several times. The cover looks nice.

So when I read the synopsis for Loving Eliile, I was intrigued by the story, though I will admit, it definitely reminded me of those old historical romances, where the brother was forced to marry the dead brothers' wife/fiance. And while I had never read a book by Lindsey Brookes before, I was interested enough to try out a new author.
But oh was I disappointed by this book! Some of the situations in this book were totally unrealistic, but I was flat out annoyed about the almost immaculate birth, come on now! you are writing this book primarily for women, be realistic, we know about blood, afterbirth and the need for pads the size of mini canoes! you don't have to go into detail, but keep it realistic.
But I think the biggest issue for me in this whole book ended up being the writing, it was SO choppy, I don't know if it was edited that way? or that's how the author wrote it, but I found it a nightmare to read.
