My favourite book so far from this author!! I have loved all of them but this one is even more remarkable. We have Xavier, a hot but grumpy veterinarian and Samantha a PR specialist. They get off to a rocky start but more than make up for it as the book progresses. Their brief relationship initially stalls when Samantha moves back to her hometown of LA to help care for her mother who has early onset dementia. This is an emotional book but there is humour and fun as well. The secondary characters are entertaining and impactful. I appreciate how hard issues and decisions were dealt with and discussed by various characters throughout the story. Overall an amazing book that you really need to read!!

Abby Jimenez has done it again! I knew going into this book that there would be heavy topics, but as with the other books I have read from her, she discussed those topics with such grace that I personally really enjoy. Xavier and Samantha are characters I was rooting for from the very beginning, and I loved watching their love grow. I think the discussions around dementia and child abuse were done in such a way that the struggles of both were not shied away from but were done so well. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! My favorite thing about her writing is I get hooked in immediately upon starting. There’s never a dull moment with this book and I just wanted to finish it immediately.
The long distance aspect was very frustrating for me as a reader but I felt the love and patience between the two main characters. Their love felt so pure and real. The side characters were also very likeable.
Also, the best thing about this book were the mustard jokes 😄

I adored this story. I laughed, I cried, I was mad, I was giddy.. all of the emotions? I had them. I loved the dementia representation. As a nurse of 7 years I’ve had the privilege to be around dementia a lot and I think Abby portrayed the disease extremely well, especially the toll it can take on others to care for someone with dementia.
I loved Samantha and Xavier. From their first interaction to their last in the book I was in love. I loved their initial meet the most because… a cat without a butthole?? I was in tears laughing. I loved their first date and how they made the best of it. The chemistry between them? Amazing. The banter? Phenomenal. I loved how much they worked (actually WORKED) to make their relationship work. The extra hours at the vet office, the plane flights back and forth, dealing with trauma from your childhood while trying to prove yourself to your crappy parents- ALL OF IT! It was nice to see them want things to work between them so badly! They faced many challenges and hurdles and I loved getting to be along for the ride while they worked through them!

𝐈 am speechless. This book was beyond words. It shattered and then healed my heart in a way I never expected. 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐲 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐳 continues to impress me with her storytelling, creating characters that are both distinct and easy to connect with. I loved every moment of this book!
𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚 and 𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 were adorable together. Their connection was fresh and sweet, their playful banter bringing so much joy. Their easy chemistry was heartwarming and made me smile. I felt giddy reading this romantic side of the story and I didn’t want it to end!
𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 is the ultimate book boyfriend and if that was not enough, he also resembles Rhysand. He might not have been the High Lord of the Night Court, but he was a veterinarian who loved animals and dedicated his life to saving them. Despite his heartbreaking past, it was fulfilling to see him pursue his passion and find love. Samantha, on the other hand, was struggling with her mother's Alzheimer's disease and the gradual breakdown of her family. It was difficult to witness her pain, especially because she was a kind person. Her relationship with Xavier provided a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness, even though it came with challenges.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I probably say this every time I read an Abby Jimenez book but I think this might be my favorite of hers. If you enjoy romantic comedies with witty banter, touching moments, and plenty of swoon, then this is the perfect read for you!

Abby does it again with another adorable romance with important topics! The connection the two main characters had and how I was rooting for them the whole time made for a sweet love story. They meet, disagree, go on one incredible date and need to forget each other because they live on opposite ends of the country. Their lives keep them planted where they need to be, her to help family and him his own practice as a vet. Together they face struggles of juggling responsibilities and long distance. Can their love face these challenges? So heart warming! Loved how it also has family coming together and overcoming caretaker anxieties. Abby is always a must read and autobuy author for me.

There are authors out there that you just simply have to follow their work because it’s a guaranteed experience of a lifetime long after you finished the last page of the book. Abby Jimenez is one of them and I could not be more happier when Forever Books by Grand Central Pub has granted me a copy for review via Netgalley. I was also spoiled rotten because LibroFM has completed the special treatment with an audio file. Christine Lakin and Matt Lanter both sounded phenomenal!
Say You’ll Remember Me sure is a banger! The title alone will definitely open up to more emotions that are just simmering all over specially if the title get’s associated with Taylor Swift’s song, Wildest Dreams.
Here’s an up close and personal take on Dementia and how this cruel illness can make or break everyone surrounding it. To AJ’s true fashion, the characters are always hard not to love and adore! Samantha and Xavier are perfect for each other, all the while completing the package with pets, fun social media tactics, found family at work place and killer date ideas! With a perfect balance of heart and humor, this book made me laugh, smile, frustrated, and cry! Beautiful writing as always with a bonus of a must listen to playlist! This book truly made my day and I highly recommend.

As always, Abby Jimenez provides me with new comfort reads and characters and Xavier and Samantha are that for me. Just for the Summer and Part of Your World by her are two of my all time favorite romance reads and #1 book recommendations. Say You'll Remember Me starts a new series for this author and is much heavier in theme than some of her previous books. At the center of this book are two characters with complicated lives and backstories. Samantha has a mother with advancing early on-set dementia and much of the story, and struggles of their romantic relationship, involve Samantha caring for her mother. Xavier is a veterinarian with his own practice and family trauma. He is healing from his parental wounds. This is both a love story and a book about what we will do for love of all varieties.
As someone with both a history of a serious long-distance romantic relationship and a family member with Alzheimers disease, I was very drawn to these characters and felt their unique struggles. I personally prefer an emotional romance over a rom-com and enjoyed that despite the heavier themes, Abby was sure to deliver some comedic relief along the way as well. I loved all the animals featured (I found myself giggling when Pooter the kitten was involved). While my husband and I only lived two hours apart (not 2000 miles apart) while we dated, this is such a testament to the ability of making it work despite all odds. There were a few little plot points that kept this from being a five star read for me. The pacing felt a little rushed at times in the evolution of the romantic relationship and I also wanted a little more of understanding the situation with Samantha's father's choices.
I have seen some people give this lower ratings because they felt like there was not as much romance in this than in some of her previous books, but I love a love story that is not screaming about love as much. This was about found family, caregiving, sacrificial love, and hope. Please check trigger warnings before reading as there are some mentions of abuse, grief, and animal cruelty.

Wow. Just... wow. It's not often I'm left speechless about a book, but Say You'll Remember Me has turned me into a blubbering mess of human and simultaneously healed the cracks it put in my heart.
It was so easy to fall in love with these characters, to empathize with their situations, to be heartbroken when they were faced with another hurdle. And then a page later, you couldn't help but feel your heart was healing when something happened to reignite your faith in humanity. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish because all I wanted was for these characters to experience the joy they deserved, but I knew it would be a struggle.
I don't think I've ever highlighted in an ebook as much as I did with this one. Once a chapter, Abby was spoiling us with gorgeous quotes about love and loss (and of course, her trademark humor). They made me feel seen, in a way where I know I couldn't have put it better myself.
Was this book perfect? No. I would have loved another 50 pages just to further develop side plots and characters. There also came a point where it felt like bad things were just being dumped on the characters for unnecessary conflict, but it didn't even take away my enjoyment because it was near-perfect in every other way.
Suffice it to say, I adored this story. It is hands-down my favorite of Abby Jimenez's to date. This book is a masterpiece about love in all forms it takes, and I already want to read it again.
*Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC of this book.

I like the audio but I don’t think this story of for me a lot of the TikTok references and lingo distracted me from the story. We know Abby can write I think this story just didn’t do it for me. Dnf at 30%

Samantha Diaz accepts a date with hot veterinarian Xavier Rush. Only to find out, he is everything and more she has hoped for. Unfortunately, she is moving 2000 miles away from Minnesota to California to help take care of her mother. However, Samantha can’t stop thinking about Xavier. Can love last 2000 or will logistics get in the way?

Abby Jimenez has done it again. I’ve read and loved all of her books, but Say You’ll Remember Me might just be my new favorite. She has such a gift for blending real-life issues with authentic, emotional, and beautifully believable romance—and this one hit all the right notes.
The characters felt so real and layered. I was completely pulled into their world and rooting for them the whole way through. Jimenez doesn’t shy away from hard topics, but she handles them with such heart, sensitivity, and hope. It’s what keeps me coming back to her stories—they’re always more than just love stories. They’re about healing, growth, and finding light in dark places.
If you’re already a fan of Abby’s work, this one will not disappoint. And if you’re new to her books, Say You’ll Remember Me is a perfect place to fall in love with her writing.

Not surprisingly, I loved this one! Abby Jiminez became a go-to author of mine very quickly after reading a few of her others last year. I loved the writing style, the humor, the characters, all of it. The characters remind me of people I would hang out with, which is why I think people gravitate to her books, even if they aren’t typically romance readers. I don’t pick up a lot of romance, but I always know I’ll find something good in one of these books. Say You’ll Remember Me has a hot veterinarian who adores animals and a sassy, funny woman that he can’t resist. This will definitely be a summer beach read!

i’ve been loving getting to know abby jimenez’s work, especially sing she was rec’d to me for my love of emily henry, and i certainly see why! her character work is excellent, and she has a great sense of humor. i liked this one a lot, and really enjoyed how such an emotional story was punctuated with plenty of lighthearted moments. also dual perspective for romance stories really works well for me.

Thank you to Hachette for the ARC—I was desperate to get my hands on this one because I absolutely adore Abby’s books.
This story was impossible to put down. I had to finish it just to see how everything unfolded. The connection between Sam and Xavier is so tender and genuine—it gave me all the feels.
Xavier is the kind of character you can’t help but fall for. A dedicated veterinarian, his love for animals is authentic and heartfelt. He’s built a close-knit circle of friends, works incredibly hard, and has overcome a lot to get where he is. He even volunteers most weekends at a rescue. When we learn why he chose to become a vet—oh, my heart! It’s such a touching backstory.
Sam is creative resourceful and determined. When she rescues a kitten who needs a complex and costly surgery, she doesn’t hesitate—she finds a way to raise the funds and give that kitten a second chance. Her love and grit shine throughout the story.
One of the things I love most about Abby’s writing is how she crafts the most sensitive, caring male characters. Her men are kind, emotionally intelligent, and full of heart—Xavier is no exception. He’ll absolutely melt you.
I’ve been noticing more books featuring animals lately, and I’m all for it—keep them coming!
Abby’s storytelling continues to charm me, and this book was no exception. I was counting down the days to this release, and it absolutely lived up to my hopes. Her stories are always so sweet, and this one will definitely be a favourite of mine this year.

Abby Jimenez’s Say You'll Remember Me is a captivating and deeply emotional story that resonated with me from start to finish. This was my first experience with Jimenez's work, and it certainly won't be my last. The characters are incredibly well-developed and feel like real people navigating the complexities of life, love, and personal struggles. Their love for one another is palpable, yet, as often happens in life, circumstances and external challenges prevent them from being together. The portrayal of the protagonist’s relationship with her mother and grandmother is both heartbreaking and poignant, highlighting the difficulties many face in their own families. This realistic depiction of life's hardships and emotional depth is truly refreshing. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a heartfelt and authentic reading experience, and I look forward to exploring more of Jimenez's work in the future.

Adored this book!! It was so cute and sweet and swoony! I love everything Abby writes and this one was a fave forsure! Can't wait for more! :)

I enjoyed this book by Abby Jimenez, but not as much as her last one. I thought the main character in this one was fairly unreasonable, so it was sometimes difficult to like her. She did have a good heart though. And she was very funny. Also, there were cats. Cats in a book are definite plus. The discussion, handling, presentation (?) of early onset dementia was done extremely well. What a difficult situation for a family. It's not a topic that is often addressed in literature. Recommended for collections with a large romance section.

ARC Review
Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This one hurts me. I LOVE Abby Jimenez and her books, but unfortunately this one just didn’t land for me, and I need to remind myself that that is okay. It started off stronger, but it kind of lost me along the way. The beginning had me in. I’m not usually one for insta love, but their first date had all my emotions running rampant. Their banter and energy was just top tier and had me laughing so much. I think it was when Samantha’s move from Minnesota to California started to lose me. It just took a turn I wasn’t anticipating and with the premise of this book not only being insta-love but also long distance it just made for a unique plotline I found hard to follow.
Samantha meets Xavier when she finds a stray kitten and takes her to the vet to get checked and he’s the doctor on hand. Upon their first gaze, it was instant attraction. When he denies surgical care because he believes the kitten is too far gone, Samantha takes it upon herself to prove him wrong. She started an online fundraiser that goes viral and enables her to have the funds to give the kitten (Pooter) care. Xavier realizing his mistake, donates a hefty sum of money. After Pooter’s surgery, she takes him back to the vet, Xavier apologizes, they banter, and he asks her out on a date. They have an unforgettable night, but when Xavier offers to stops by her apartment on the way to the airport, it is then he realizes she’s not taking a trip, but rather realizes she’s moving from Minnesota to California.
So much was happening in the pacing of their relationship. Nearly every chapter was a time jump and the progression of their relationship all happened between a couple phone calls a week and maybe a monthly visit. It was just hard to follow and find authentic because the flow felt off.
The pop culture references were at an all time high and it just wasn’t for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love Abby Jimenez wit and ability to craft stories that blur the line of fiction and real life, I get a few references but it was every other page. The writing felt so forced in terms of trying to be relevant that I fear this book won’t age seamlessly.
In terms of themes, this book was VERY heavy. Diving into dementia, childhood trauma and abuse, narcissistic behaviors, familial issues…there was a lot to be explored and talked about. Having family members who’ve had dementia along with other progressive and degenerative diseases, I know just how all encompassing and challenging it is to navigate. I know first hand the way it rips families apart and amplifies loneliness, depression, etc. There were just a few moments in this book that left me uncomfortable. Whether that’s from my first hand experiences and the emotions I am still working through resurfacing, or just the way it was handled amongst characters in the book, I can’t exactly pinpoint what made me feel off, but I just did (I already have enough in my plate and go to therapy so I’m not in the mood to psychoanalyze myself rn😭).
My hopes were much higher for this book, but this one just didn’t land well for me. Still love Abby and her work, and I look forward to see what she has in store for the future. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC.

Readers who are already familiar with Jimenez's work will happily find a lot of what they expect in her newest novel: characters they'll instantly fall in love with, a handful of well-placed spicy scenes, a robust supporting cast, and, of course, a happily ever after. Familiar readers will also know that Jimenez does not shy away from life's difficulties. I loved this story, I loved these characters - I am so glad to have met them and been along for the ride as their story unfolded. However, having said that, this book is sad! For much of the story it feels absolutely impossible to imagine how Xavier and Samantha will ever arrive at a satisfying conclusion.
An author's note at the beginning of the novel offers trigger warnings for the things readers may find difficult - and there are several. The most poignant being the advanced dementia of Samantha's 54 year old mother. Say You'll Remember Me is a real testament to savoring joy and loving the people around you, even when your world is falling apart. Perhaps that makes it the perfect read for this moment.
