I don't know how Abby does it but her books are always such a good hit to my emotions. Samantha's and Xavier's relationship from the start felt so easy (difficult, but their personalities just meshed so well together). There was so much going on in their lives but they were right for each other and the way they made their relationship work just goes to show that if you find the right person, you'll make it work. They balanced each other out and the whole story was just right.

Abby has done it again..
I was so excited to read another book by Abby.
I absolutely enjoyed and loved this book.

It was cute, real and very engaging.
I love Xavier, the Veterinarian.

I understand the life of dementia, so I know it takes a toll on families. I applaud the family for finding balance and making it work on their terms.

Definitely would highly recommend

I love all the Abby Jimenez books and was so glad to get an early release of this one! This was more than a rom-com with the addition of some serious topics such as abuse, neglect, dementia, and the struggles of family dynamics. I laughed and cried alongside the main characters, Xavier and Samantha. Told from their POV's, I liked the insight into the thoughts and feelings of each of these characters. I liked the juxtaposition between living in a gray versus colorful world when love and happiness are introduced. I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends and book club. HEADLINE: Jimenez continues to deliver in 𝐒𝐀𝐘 𝐘𝐎𝐔’𝐋𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐄 (pub 04.01)

I’m grateful to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the early access.

What I love about Abby Jimenez’s books is how she takes humor and wit and blends it with complex, emotional elements. Rom-coms with heft. 𝘚𝘢𝘺 𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘭𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘦 is no exception. Sure- the chemistry is pretty palpable, but it’s more than that. The characters are dealing with some real life struggles and I was rooting for them from page one. A compelling story with authentic characters facing real-like issues that are supported by captivating writing.

This wasn’t my all-time favorite by the author, that spot is shared by 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 and 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺. However, at this point I’d read anything and everything she writes because I know it will be fantastic. (🍆🍆 steam)

Wow. This book made me smile. It made me cry. I loved it.

This is the first Abby Jimenez book that I read. Her books had been suggested to me before, so when I saw this one, I thought I would give it a go. Now I need to read more of her books!

There was something so real about this story. There was a heaviness to and no easy way out of some of life's harder situations. And that made me connect with the story all the more.

If I could give this story more than 5 stars, I would.

Thank you #NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the fast-paced, easy feel of Say You'll Remember Me, and found the main conflict to be unique. However, the romance left me wanting more depth and connection between the characters—their chemistry just didn’t quite land for me. While I appreciated glimpses of Abby Jimenez’s signature magic, the plot felt excessive at times, and the overall lack of depth left the story feeling a bit strung along. The abundance of modern references and mustard jokes also became distracting. It’s a fun read, but I found myself wishing for more of the spark and development I’ve come to know and love in an Abby novel.

“She knew. Something ingrained that told her she was seeing true love. Her heart remembering even though her brain had forgotten. She didn’t know who I was or who he was. But she still knew what love was. Maybe that’s the last thing we forget. Or we never forget it at all. Not really. We lose the words to say it. We lose the ability to show it. But we never lose the ability to feel it or recognize it when we see it. Love is the brightest color in a gray world”.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! I absolutely love her writing she always has me hooked. Her characters feel like they are your friends. She uses things that happen in people's very day lives but gives them a wonderful spin. “Say You’ll Remember Me” explored so many emotions and deep topics, I would definitely read the author’s note before reading due to trigger warnings. I don’t have firsthand experience with dementia, you can tell just how much effort Abby made to make the scenarios feel realistic. That’s something I’ve always felt she’s done so well in all her books, put in the work to research about the topics to make sure it’s as accurate as possible. I Immediately loved the main characters. They both say what is on their minds, don't beat around the bush asking each other out, and are clear up front about wanting to see each other again. I laughed aloud several times before they even went on a date. Xavier and Samantha’s story was so special and refreshing to read. The angst was so relatable for me. When you care for someone and want the best for them, it can feel like you would be doing them a disservice if you tried to make a relationship with them work. Samantha and Xavier both feel that they should let go of the relationship for the other's sake, and struggle to understand that they are worth the sacrifice the other is making. The epilogue was amazing and had me bawling at how people show up. “Say You Remember Me” is a beautiful, moving romance that will stay with me for a long time. There’s just no one who writes like Abby Jimenez. Highly recommend this one to fans of heartfelt love stories with equal doses of laughter and tears. I cannot wait for her next book!

Say You’ll Remember Me is a heartwarming, emotional read that beautifully blends romcom vibes with emotional depth. The characters are well-developed & likable - I don’t usually care for insta-love but the chemistry between Sam & Xavier was just too sweet I couldn't help but root for them.
The vet clinic meet-cute was absolutely adorable. The banter was top tier. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments (earbuds & Advil p.m. (iykyk))

I found some aspects of the story to be a bit repetitive, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story. If you’re a romcom fan this book is a springtime must-read! No April fools here - this one releases on April 1st ◡̈

Thank you to netgalley & grand central publishing for the opportunity to read this arc ◡̈

Ah, Abby Jimenez. I'd read her grocery list and rate it five stars. She never disappoints. Every book gets better than the previous one. I loved the different take on this romance story. I loved the tackling of difficult issues with humor and grace. Abby does it every single time.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc.

I adore Abby's books. It is just something about her writing that pulls you in. This book was sweet, but emotional. I loved how determined the MMC was to show up and go above and beyond to show how much he adores the FMC. Abby Jimenez knows how to write an MMC. Part of your world is still my favorite, but this book still delivered.

“What happens now?”
“You forget me.”

“And my light was two thousand miles away. I could still feel her from here.”

“But…but you’ve always looked at me like that.”
“I know. I’ve always loved you.”

A story about family, hope, fear, and longing.

Gosh, I had such a good time with this story!! I found myself cheesing the entire time, there were some moments of cringe; but I don’t know the characters made me overlook everything. I feel in LOVE with these characters. Samantha reminded me a lot of myself that open and outgoing person who will always be there for you. Xavier is such a beautiful person. His heart is SO good. He’s a character that goes through some very traumatic things, but ends growing into a man that positively impacts the people around him. He is definitely one of my favorite favorite book characters.

The dementia representation made me so emotional. My grandma has been diagnosed with dementia and although she is doing well right now, it can become so sever and it just makes me so sad. I loved the moments Samantha shares with her mother. They are SO small, but are so so meaningful you can tell how heavily impacted Samantha is by them.

Overall this was just the perfect little read if you want smile, while always feeling all the things.

This is my first Abby Jimenez book, and I'll definitely be reading more by her. It is a hopeful yet realistic romance about a woman who is moving back to California to help her family care for her mother with dementia and a veterinarian in Minneapolis

This might be my favorite Abby Jimenez book yet. From start to finish, I was completely hooked on Xavier and Samantha's relationship. Abby has this amazing way of making everything feel so real. She just seamlessly adds real-life situations that make you feel like she’s speaking directly to you.

I’m no stranger to dementia—my grandpa had it and passed away from it. The way Abby described the family coming together to care for Samantha’s mom really hit home. It felt so real because I’ve been there, feeling like, “This can’t be happening to me” and that sense of isolation that’s hard to explain unless you’ve gone through it.

Also, the long-distance relationship between Xavier and Samantha? So relatable. My husband and I did long-distance for the first year of our marriage while he was finishing up his time in the Marines. Every emotion they went through, I felt it. Saving up for the next trip, cherishing every moment together, and then counting down the days until we had to say goodbye again—ugh, I get it.

All in all, this book just felt so real, and that’s what I love about Abby’s writing. It makes you feel heard, like you’re not alone in whatever you’re going through. By the end, you feel like you’ve learned something important or had a heart-to-heart about tough situations.

Xavier and Samantha’s story will always have a special place in my heart. And, funny enough, the day I finished the book, I went to the store, and Come On Eileen came on the radio. I legit burst out laughing because now every time I hear that song, I’ll think of them. 😂

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me of a cute novella more than anything!

The part I liked the most was the fact that this story carried SO many important topics that aren’t talked about enough in this world - the thin line between money and success, how hard it is to maintain a long distance relationship, CAREGIVER STRAIN (this one hit me the hardest, as a fellow nurse)

Xavier and Samantha’s story was raw. It demonstrated how truly hard it is to love someone from afar. How heartbreaking it is to not be able to see or touch the person that you want most in this world. While I felt like it got repetitive, it doesn’t take away from the fact that its the reality of so many people irl. I give so much respect to these couples because I could never.

The caregiver strain - THIS TOPIC IS NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH IRL !! how many times do we say we’re going to grow up and take care of our parents when they get old, not understanding that ITS SO HARD. Samantha’s mom having dementia, combative episodes, wetting herself, and just having no control over her mind and body was so so hard to read, but it was even more heartbreaking to watch Sam’s entire family break apart because of how hard it was to be the sole caregivers and never having time to care for their own physical/mental health. Imagine having to watch an adult 24/7, taking them to the toilet on a schedule, feeding them, and literally having no minute to yourself. This. Abby ate so hard with this plot.

I am really torn on my feelings for this. Abby's books have always had the perfect mix of romantic love, platonic friendships, and hardships, which really draws me to her books as a reader. By the end, you feel like these characters are your close companions, their lives are intertwined with yours, and they stick in your mind for months after the fact.

I think it's worth being said that this book reads as a contemporary fiction rather than a straight-up romance. The two main characters are in a 2,000 mile long-distance relationship and it shows the realistic emotions that come with being away from your person for weeks, even months at a time. Even when the characters were FINALLY together after months of waiting and dealing with incredibly challenging situations in their personal lives, they were immediately hit with the realization that they'd have to leave in a few short days, making their time together very bittersweet.

For me, this was enough of an obstacle to make the plot really interesting....but each of the individual main characters had massive amounts of trauma they were also dealing with - ESPECIALLY towards the end. Now, don't get me wrong. I lovvveeeee my romances with a side of drama and sadness, but at times this truly felt like these two people were the most unlucky people in the universe. Instead of the overall feeling being hopeful that they could get through these situations together, it often just came across as hopeless and sad. The cute animals, endless pop culture references, and spaced-out cute moments couldn't make up for all of the sadness this book had, unfortunately. It just felt like something was missing for me.

With all of that being said, there were so many parts of this book I enjoyed. Xavier and Samantha's romance starts with one amazing date that ends with insta-love for each other. They had so many cute moments and Xavier truly is just a dream of a book boyfriend. I felt like the connection between him and Samantha was very organic and real. Their relationship went through so many trials and tribulations, making it seem like it could truly stand the test of time. I wish we had gotten to see more of them together toward the end of the book, especially since Xavier interacting with Samantha's family were some of my favorite scenes!!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I loved on this story so much that after I finished, I had to sit with it for a while just to process my thoughts. It really hit me...in the best way possible. The emotions felt so raw yet were delivered with love, honesty, humor, anxiety, heartbreak, and hope.
Reading it felt like peeling back layers, constantly discovering more. Sam and Xavier faced so many challenges. Their struggles took a serious toll on their relationship and well-being. Despite that, they each had a solid support system while navigating family and career hardships, which was such a powerful part of the story. (°
I don't know much about dementia, but this book was incredibly informative. Even without personal experience, it gave me a deeper respect and understanding for those who have faced dementia and grief.
Sam and Xavier's relationship was so special and full of sweet moments that had me smiling and laughing. Oh, and the ACOTAR reference? (loved it!), and the "Come on, Eileen" cameos were the perfect ode throughout the book. Plus, I could tell that food was definitely one of their love languages
Overall, this felt deeply personal to Abby. There was so much great things going on that l'd absolutely read it again in case I missed anything!
Thank you Abby Jimenez and @readforeverpub for the opportunity to read your wonderful book!

SO THANKFUL to have received this ARC for one of my fav authors.

I have truly fallen madly in love with Abby Jimenez this past year. She does an incredible job and writing real love stories that are full of real life scenarios. You truly feel like you’re a character in her books because of how great she is at making you become emotionally attached to the people and their stories.

This one was heart wrenching for sure and as much as I love a fluffy read, the reality behind this one hits so different than her other books.

I always appreciate her comedic relief, and this one specifically was relatable in a job sense so some of the lines had me cackling out loud. Thank god for Abby and her ability to write top tier banter.

Just for the Summer still has #1 spot, but this book was still insanely incredible and everyone should pick it up at some point.

It’s a great reminder to appreciate what & who you have while you still have them. 🧡🧡

I think I knew I wasn't going to like this book when Rhysand from ACOTAR was mentioned 3 times in the first 10-15% of this book which is sad because I usually love Abby Jimenez's books.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for providing me a copy of this arc! Abby Jimenez knows how to elicit emotions like no other, and this book was no exception. This follows Samantha, who does social media marketing for a mustard company, and Xavier, who’s a veterinarian. They have a really great meet-cute and an instant, undeniable connection, but circumstances force them to figure it out long distance. In typical Abby fashion, not only is this book extremely romantic, but it’s also incredibly emotional. They’re dealing with both the difficulty of being so many miles apart, and real life responsibilities that are keeping them exactly where they are. Samantha’s mother dealing with dementia and the family dynamic was so real and powerful. Abby has this ability to write hard topics and articulate a feeling in a way that even if you haven’t gone through it, you can understand it and feel the pain. She also writes falling in love equally as beautifully. Her characters are so viscerally real and it makes forming a connection to the story so easy. I loved this book so much. She handles grief with such a delicate hand and I appreciate that ability. The relationship between Xavier and Samantha was so powerful and deep and I loved every second of it. I felt so many things while reading this. I cried so hard, I swooned so hard, I laughed, and I left feeling changed by it. All in all another masterfully powerful, moving story with characters you just fall in love with. I recommend everyone read this as soon as it comes out! If you love good banter, well developed characters, and an incredible plot, then this one is for you. I will never listen to the song “Come On Eileen” the same again.
