Abby Jimenez is one of my all-time favorite authors. She makes romantic comedies come to life in a way that is real, human, and relatable... even if you haven't yet found The One. 'Say You'll Remember Me' is possibly her best book yet. It made me laugh and cry and gave me warm fuzzy feelings. This is a book you won't want to miss!

It pains me to give an Abby Jimenez book anything less than five stars because she is one of my favorite authors, and I will forever read anything she writes. However, I have to be honest—this book started out with so much potential but ended up feeling a bit repetitive. And the ending… just grrr—my biggest pet peeve: the characters finally resolve their major conflict, and then the story is O V E R. Whyyyy?
Now, onto the good parts—and trust me, there are a ton. I love, love, love the two main characters. They are both so likable—no, lovable—and they seem like the perfect pair. The dual POV totally works in this novel and was absolutely necessary. It’s a very touching, somewhat sad story with a lot of frustrating, real-life moments, reminding us that not all books can be fairy tales.
This was a tough one because I found myself both loving and hating it at different points, but I never stopped rooting for the main characters. I’ll still recommend this book to all my friends, as I always do with everything Abby writes!

Sweet long distance romance by romance queen Abbey Jimenez. Per usual Abbey tackles real life issues while also creating a sweet romance. This was not my favorite of her books overall but it was still really sweet and real.

Much like Just For the Summer, Jimenez dives again into the complex relationships and dynamics that family can bring into our lives. In this read, she explores the heart wrenching effects of a parent suffering memory loss, alongside the complications of experiencing a long distance relationship. She pairs all of this with a heartwarming, undeniable love story between a vet and a social media manager. While the topics get tough, she weaves the pain in with laughter (including our main characters hilarious social posts) and adorable animals. Jimenez will have readers laughing out loud at hilarious references, as the book is very deeply entrenched in 2020’s pop culture and memes. This is ultimately a story of triumph, what sticking with your beliefs can lead you to, and the incredible power of love. We witness the strength of family through coworkers, deep friendship, blood relatives, strangers, and more.
Thank you Grand Central Publishing for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

My gawd. This book. I can’t remember the last book I read that made me start crying so early in the story and kept me crying throughout the whole damn thing! And not because it was super sad, although the aching is still lodged firmly in my heart. But also because of the sheer loveliness of the writing, the depth of emotion generated, the way the relationships are all beautifully wrought and so much more. This is a gorgeous read and I am very much looking forward to the next in the series I just realized will be forthcoming! 💜📚

I so wanted to love this book and I think if I had gone into it with a different mindset I would have enjoyed it. This is a SAD book. Dealing with a family member with dementia is a HEAVY load and Jimenez does handle the complexities very well. The love between Xavier and Samantha is sweet, but seemingly toxic in their love for each other- leading Xavier to the hospital with pneumonia. Samantha gives up her career to be the full time care giver of her mother and Xavier goes into more debt to leave Minnesota for her. This is a crushing book with romance in it. If you are looking for a romantic easy book to escape real life- skip it.

I loved their journey to one another. The setting of this book is very realistic to what real life is. It was refreshing to read something other then billionaires romances or teen rich kids…
I’m not crazy about instant love but their progression to one another got me hooked.
Loved, loved, loved Tristan. I need a book please for him…. I think that goes for the hole family.
I would love to see Dan’s journey through his wife’s illness.
Loved it.

Beautiful real-life love story!
Abby Jimenez’s ‘Say You’ll Remember Me’ moved me in so many ways. This is a story about finding your person and choosing that love over and over despite all the messiness of real life. Samantha is a glass half-full person who loves her work as a social media writer and is deeply devoted to her family. Xavier is a grumpy veterinarian who admits he often prefers animals to people.
Samantha and Xavier are always showing up for each other while they both deal with real life struggles.
“That there is nothing more beautiful than being a witness to someone’s life. To know them inside and out and be with them through everything...”
If you’ve read Jimenez’s other books, you know that the author writes the BEST book boyfriends. And Xavier is another great example. He doesn’t just say the words ‘I love you,’ he also shows his love through consistent actions. Xavier adores Samantha and does everything he can to make her life easier. And he’s smoking hot too.
The book deals with some difficult subjects (read trigger warnings) which Jimenez portrays with great sensitivity but doesn’t shy away from showing us life’s struggles. Yet the story remains hopeful and has a lot of humor too.
Abby Jimenez will always be an auto-buy author for me. This story will stay with me for a long time.
Many thanks to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. Say You’ll Remember Me will be published on April 1, 2025.

This book was phenomenal! Pretty sure this is a new favorite Abby Jimenez book now. There were too many good things about this book.
First the writing. I have always loved how Abby Jimenez writes. It is so fresh while also hitting on harder topics. I love how she is able to incorporate more modern pop culture references and slang without making the writing cringy or dated. There was also never a point while I was reading where I was bored. She also did a really good job at depicting having a family member with memory loss. She was able to show that there are hard times but there are also good days. I related so much to the family as someone going through this as well right now, I was comforted in the fact that these things that I feel are felt by other people in these situations.
Now for the romance. I LOVE Samantha and Xavier. I love the fact that they both fell hard and fast. I love that Xavier is so grumpy with other people but as soon as he sees her, he lights up. I love how the conflict between them played out, and how there was a certain something that did not happen. There were so many quotes from this book that were between the two of them on love and what love and relationships are to them that I just loved so much. I actually highlighted things while I was reading for the first time ever!
This book was perfect, and I am so grateful that I got to read it early.

Say You’ll Remember Me
“Love is the brightest color in a gray world.”
Wow this was hard to read. Samantha and Xavier are in an impossible situation. She’s in California, living as a caretaker for her mom, who has dementia. He’s a vet in Minnesota, struggling to make ends meet and keep his new practice a float to defy the expectations of his abusive parents. They’re meant to be together. They’re perfect for each other. They just happen to live worlds apart and can’t afford the flights to see each other often.
Samantha and Xavier both know life is hard. Through their story, they learn that love makes it worth it.

Sweet and lovely and yet still full on angst and pining. Loved it. Read it in a day. Abby never misses.

Abby Jimenez can do no wrong and I was so excited to dive into Say You’ll Remember Me. After an amazing marathon of a first date, Samantha is convinced Dr. Xavier Rush is as close to perfect as you can get—if only she wasn’t moving across the country to help her family take care of her mom who has dementia. Xavier can’t get Samantha off his mind, but will the distance be too much. This book definitely reads more women’s fiction that romance. Samantha is going through so much with work and helping with her mom who doesn’t remember her, and it’s heartbreaking. And Xavier is so sweet, it’s so hard much they both want this romance but time and money and travel make it such an uphill battle. It’s emotional, it’s hard, and it’s a beautifully done story. I will say I felt Xavier felt much more invested than Samantha, she was really interested too, but she became his whole world in a way that made some of his chapters feel a little narrow. But their banter is so good, they’re quick-witted, and their chemistry is so strong. I was rooting so hard for these two to find a way to make it work. They communicated well, it was funny, it was heavy; it was all the things! Both come from such complicated family dynamics and they both fought for each other and lifted each other. It was a sweet and emotional romance with a lot of turmoil and a lot of family. My heart went out to all of these characters, and I couldn’t put the book down!

The excitement I felt when I was preapproved for this had me screaming and it did not disappoint. Abby truly writes the best book boyfriends and Xavier did not disappoint. He was so protective and caring! I loved that there was no third act breakup! It was SO good!

3 stars --
The pacing of this book was all over the place? The separation and then being together for 2-3 days, then separated for several months??? BORING.
Truly I am not a sensitive person, but there is some content that I just will not read and it just so happens to be in this book (animal abuse/death) !! It is OFF PAGE, but still mentioned (several times) and it immediately made me want to put this book down. I was so annoyed.
The entirety of the book is about the couple being long distance, Samantha's mom having advanced stage dementia, Xavier dealing with his parental issues. There are some bright & funny spots through out the book (loved her job as the mustard social media manager, and the cat, and the old man vet), but it's truly overshadowed by how DEPRESSING this story line is.
Abby herself claims that she writes rom-coms and this is not romming or comming to me at all.
I have LOVED the last 3 books Abby has put out, but unfortunately this one wasn't for me. It was fine.

Loved this instant love connection book dealing with real family dynamics in addition to the logistics of a long-distance romance. I will read anything Abby Jimenez puts in front of my face and this was probably one of my favorites of hers. There was a lot less miscommunication/lack of communication than her last book, which was a huge plus for me, as it's my most hated romance novel trope. Xavier and Sam were a lovely couple who found their way to each other in the end, as you knew they would. A solid addition to the Abby Jimenez library.

I was a little skeptical to start, but was absolutely sold through the final chapters of the book. Chapter 37 was such a raw illustration of true family conflict. It brought tears to my eyes.
Can’t wait for the general population to get their hands on this book!

🐶 Say You’ll Remember Me 🐱 When the NetGalley approval email landed in my inbox, I may have shed a few tears of joy. It’s like the universe knew I needed a comfort read this week, and Abby delivered! While I know it’s probably too early to be formally reviewing this book, I will be shouting about it closer to release date too — I ADORED it. All the stars, all the tears, and I want to say this might be my favourite of her books so far, but I also love every one of her books so much that I refuse to pick a favourite. They’re all amazing, and if you haven’t yet picked up one of Abby’s books, go read The Friend Zone and then read them in pub order and I promise you won’t be disappointed. She’s truly one of my favourite authors of all time ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you thank you @readforeverpub for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy. This book was a bright light in the midst of a dark week, and I’m forever thankful for the bit of sunshine it brought me. All opinions are my own.

Abby Jimenez proves time and time again that she knows the direct way to a reader's heart. We are introduced to Xavier, a veterinarian with a grumpy side, and Samantha...who always sees the positive side of things. Right away you know that sparks will fly between the two of them. While dealing with real life issues, the reader is taken on a journey between both worlds, to see what will be the end of their love story.

Couldn’t put this one down. Abby Jimenez does it again and hits you in the feels. The stress and turbulence the main characters’ relationship endures is hard to read at times, but you are rooting for it to work out. This book felt almost too realistic if you have had a family member with dementia.
I enjoyed the direct communication between Xavier and Samantha. It was always honest and straightforward. Plus, they were each other's biggest cheerleaders instantly. Getting trapped overnight in an escape room really bonds people together apparently.
Loved this. Can’t wait to recommend it.

Yikes... I am not sure I will continue. I tried but by 10%, Rhysand from acotar was mentioned 3 separate times by 3 separate characters, all to compare our hero to him in terms of looks. AT ONLY 10%!!!! It took up at least two whole pages. It felt like Jimenez was trying way too hard to appeal to a specific audience and definitely overshot. The writing took a plunge as well. Im not sure where the usual magic of an AJ novel went since this was beyond monotonous and flat. Super bummed.
Also, there's a section of blatant racism on the FMC's part saying that a man (named Omar) "f*cked off back to his motherland" and I cannot believe that has bypassed editors. Appalling.
