As a long time Abby fan and after yours truly and just for the summer this was a disappointment to say the least. Authors need to realize that the words the write and the stereotypes they represent in their books have severe implications.

I wish her the best with this book. Thank you Forever for the arc <3

Thank you to the publisher Forever Books and Net Galley for an advance copy of this book. This is classic Abbey Jimenez, romance mixed in with the reality of everyday life.

This was less of a slow burn, as the main characters fall hard for each other right away, the real challenge was in their finding their way to each other for their Happily Ever After.

This story is about perseverance and the journey through. They each had their own life challenges to overcome, before they could be together. Samantha had to find her way with her Mom's diagnosis, and Xavier had to put to rest the demons from his past. Abby has once again tackled a tough topic with grace and humor.

Thank you Forever Publishing for the early copy, I was screaming and jumping up and down when I received the notification!

Abby Jimenez has done it again!! I’ve been working my way through her backlist and so far I’ve been in love with every book I’ve read! How each book has me laughing one second, swooning the next and then boom I’m crying my eyes out. This book confirmed that I will be an Abby Jimenez stan as long as she continues to release books. I’ll leave you here with one quote from the book: “She was looking at me the way she looked at mustard.”

I love anything Abby Jimenez writes, but in this case, WOW.

Miss Abby never shies away from difficult topics but this book was heavy, and beautiful, and tragic, but I couldn't put it down!
I was rooting for Samantha and Xavier from page one until the end but man was it hard to see the hope. What I will say is that these two never gave up on each other and that is what kept me going. After every obstacle, and there were a lot of them, I had to keep going for them, and their happy ever after was so worth it.

Please keep in mind that this book heavily deals with a parent with dementia moreso than it deals with romance. The romance is beautiful and so worth it and you will love them, but the book is heavy.

I will be thinking about these two and all the hard work they put in to make their relationship work for a long, long time!

Abby Jimenez does it again! As a typical romance, we know they will end up together, but the journey is what is important, and what a journey it was indeed!

If you're a fan of Abby Jimenez, this one’s definitely worth reading!

I really hope Abby Jimenez makes this book into a trilogy and gives Tristan and his sister their happy endings.

Sure, when Samantha brings her cat to the vet, the vet himself seems like kind of a huge jerk. Samantha is determined to prove him wrong though, and quickly does! Xavier can’t get the gorgeous cat mom out of his mind, and the feeling is mutual. After an amazing date one night, Xavier finds out that Samatha is moving ro California to help care for her mom who is fighting Alzheimers. The feelings between them are real though, and the two are having trouble forgetting that perfect night.

Ok just a heads up that there are some triggering parts of this book so definitely look those up before reading! I really love both Samantha and Xavier, but I did feel like we kept hearing about how Xavier was unfriendly and cold, but we really only saw that the first time they met. He wasn’t that way with her family or his friends, so it felt a bit unnecessary. Outside of that, I really enjoyed the story of their relationship and how difficult but worth it the long distance was. Please be prepared for Come On Eileen to be stuck in your head for the entire reading of this book!

Thank you to @readforeverpub for my gifted copy of this book!

Samantha was on the cusp of a new chapter, one that involved selling her belongings, packing up, and making a 2000-mile move from Minnesota to California to care for her ailing mother. But little did she know, this journey would also lead her to discover new love, companionship, and a sense of purpose. After a friend and a kitten that was in desperate need of help Samantha I don’t not so pleasant encounter with Xavier, a brooding vet. Xavier was tall and moody, gruff and at times downright rude. But Samantha could see that under that tough exterior Xavier was warm and caring. Falling for Xavier was not part of her original plan, but their chance encounter would change everything. As Samantha navigates this new landscape, will she find a way to balance her responsibilities helping her family with the thrill of new love and the more than 2000 miles that separate her from him? Abby Jimenez will take you on an emotional roller coaster with this beautifully written, heartfelt tale of the power of love and the beauty of making memories with the ones we love.

I love Abby Jimenez, and I was as hooked as ever with this one (I don't know that I've ever managed to stretch one of her novels over more than 2 sittings), though this felt a bit darker/more depressing.

As an Abby Jimenez fan, I'm a bit sad to say I walked away from this one a little underwhelmed. This one, unfortunately, didn't do it for me. Specifically in the romance aspect of the story.

I did truly enjoy both Sam & Xavier's characters, their depth, and their dynamic. The childhood trauma aspect of Xavier's character and how that affected how he carried himself, getting to see him grow through those lingering feelings, was wonderful. Sam's struggles with her mother's illness and the heartbreaking emotions that come along with that, were very well-done!

That being said, the romance in this one was lacking for me. To me, this one was insta-attraction and insta-lovey, something that just felt unexpected from Abby. It almost felt like the gas pedal was super glued to the car floor and they were just GOING. However, as a whole, I did like their relationship while they were in it. Their love is filled with sweet, caring moments and it was lovely seeing them become each others person. I feel as though Abby Jimenez was definitely playing on the classic "love at first sight", and the "it doesn't matter if we haven't known each other long, i know you're the one" feeling here. I don't know, it just didn't grip me the way I had hoped!

The parts of the story outside of the romance, though, I did enjoy! Especially the relationship that you see with Sam's family—both its highs and lows—especially under such difficult circumstances, was done really well!

Overall, this one just wasn't for me! But i still say to give it a chance, it may be a book you end up loving!

As a die-hard Abby Jimenez fan, it pains me to give this book 3⭐️.

Don’t get me wrong—Abby’s signature meet-cute magic is there, and it never misses. But honestly? This book felt like it was missing some of the charm and chemistry I’ve come to expect from her books. I kept waiting for that slow-burn buildup, the tension that makes you ache for the characters to get together, but it just wasn’t there. They go on their first date within the first 10% of the book, and from there, the plot starts to feel repetitive.

One of the things I usually love about Abby’s writing is how she balances emotional, heavy themes with light rom-com vibes. But this book leans hard into the heavy stuff, and not in a good way. At times, it didn’t even feel hopeful—it was downright depressing. I’m all for depth and emotional resonance, but this just felt bleak.

And don’t even get me started on the constant social media and book references. The ACOTAR mention near the beginning had me rolling my eyes right out of the story. It felt forced, like it was trying too hard to be relatable.

If I’m being totally honest, this is probably more of a 2.5⭐️ read for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this book and exchange for an honest review! Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez made me laugh and made me wanna cry. Samantha and Xavier meet in such a relatable way with her bringing in her kitty who coincidentally does not have a butthole and him being the grumpy vet who prefers animals over people - I mean, who doesn’t right? When she calls him out this essentially sparks a desire to want to get to know each other more and after a disastrously cute date; eventually ends up with them trying to balance having a long distance relationship while dealing with issues in their every day lives. I really felt for Samantha as she was dealing with having a mother who is battling early onset dementia, and being the child that the mother does not recognize. For Xavier, he is trying to maintain his private practice as a veterinarian and runs himself broke trying to be with Samantha after she moves away to keep their relationship going. Say You’ll Remember Me was a perfect title for this book and there were multiple times while reading it that I could hear the song in my head, especially when the main characters would be spending time together and making memories that Samantha would describe as “core memories”.
While parts of the premise of the book are sad, there are also multiple funny aspects to it. Abby Jimenez describes Xavier per Samantha‘s point of view as Rhysand from ACOTAR multiple times which had me fangirling so hard. Xavier explaining to Samantha what happens when people mistakingly think their hamsters are dead had me cry laughing!
This book is a beautiful combination of family healing, recognizing what it is you want out of life, and also exploring the hardships of every day life while trying to be in a relationship.
I can’t wait to read more Abby Jimenez books!

Abby Jimenez does it once again. Say You'll Remember Me is a slow burn tender-hearted story that is incredibly sweet and memorable. Although less spicy than her previous works, it is full of pining and yearning between the characters. One thing to note is that readers should be aware of all its content warnings before diving in (Animal death, abusive parents, advanced dementia in a parent, etc).

I don't exactly know how to rate this one. The beginning was so cute, but the middle-end was honestly.. kinda depressing?

This book shows the hardships of long distance relationships. She's caring for her mother with dementia, he's working insane hours just to have money for plane tickets to see her. Both are exhausted and barely hanging on, but so in love.

I will say, I really did love the characters and Abby's writing style never disappoints. I just wanted MORE of these characters actually together.

One more thought, WHY WAS THE ENDING SO
RUSHED?! | deserved a longer happily ever after epilogue after that whole book. I needed more than 4 pages of happiness at the end.

Say You'll Remember Me touches on the sensitive subject of dementia. The story describes the struggles of a family trying to be caregivers for their Mom/Wife/Daughter character that is suffering from dementia. Mixed in is a long distance relationship between the two main characters Samantha and Xavier and the ups/downs to keep their relationship together. As true with all of Abby's books, she mixes in romance, humor and heartbreak, along with the happy ending we are hoping for. Another bestseller for sure!

Samantha meets Xavier, a grumpy veterinarian, when she brings an abandoned kitten to see him at his office. He makes a terrible impression, but can’t stop thinking about her. When they see each other again, she agrees to a date. They have the date of a lifetime but big obstacles stand in their way, and continuing any sort of relationship seems impossible. Samantha asks Xavier to forget her and move on- something neither of them seem to be able to do.

When you pick up an Abby Jimenez book, you know it’s going to be full of heart, beautifully written characters, and bittersweet moments. This book definitely takes on more serious topics and ventures further from her rom com roots. Samantha is dealing with a parent with early onset dementia and later on struggling with grief, and Xavier has past trauma that he is struggling to overcome as well. I’d encourage readers to be aware of the content before reading if these topics are sensitive ones. I enjoyed the book but it definitely was heavy at times and I would have loved more of Xavier and Samantha actually developing their relationship and getting to experience more of the romance. The book definitely relies heavily on the insta-love trope, which I don’t mind, but I know isn’t always a favorite of readers. However, the lighthearted banter and moments in between the heavy ones are definitely fun, and I enjoyed the book overall.

Thank you to Abby Jimenez and Forever publishing for the arc and opportunity to be an early reader and reviewer.

I did not foresee ever giving Abby Jimenez a 2 star rating. *cries*

The bones of the story had promise, but unfortunately that's all this was. Bones of a story.

The characters felt one dimensional, not fully fleshed out and were lacking Jimenez's usual charm, and heart. The romance lacked chemistry, tension, and feeling! It was very insta-love, which I can easily overlook when we get more depth as the story progresses.. but sadly, it felt like all their on page interactions stayed very surface level for the majority of the book. Despite both of them having so many struggles and going through some pretty heavy things, I felt emotionally detached to some extent. It was more tell than show, and I think that is a factor in why I never really got sucked into this story.

I feel like Xavier and Samantha could have been amazing characters, and the romance could have been fantastic... but it felt like we just kept getting weighed down by all their struggles constantly.. new ones popping up to pile up on top of the existing ones. it was non-stop and we never got to come up for air and actually fall for these characters and spend much time with them actually falling for each other.

The writing also felt different. More choppy, less.. natural? We also kept getting weird slang that felt so out of place for characters that are in their late 20s. I also found the frequent ACOTAR/Rhysand mentions to be so weird?!

Very sad this book did not work for me... but I will definitely continue to check out the authors new releases.

this was so different from other books i've read, and i really enjoyed it! the relationship struggles are cemented more in the difficulty of bringing their lives together than anything else. there's good chemistry - maybe insta-love, but i found i was too invested to care - and a great family narrative at the heart of it all. really amazing read and always so quick to push through! she had a die-hard fan in me now.

Thank you to Read Forever Publishing for giving me the chance to read an early digital copy of this book. I have been so excited about this book coming out, and I was beyond thrilled when I was granted access to it. My mother passed away about 3 weeks ago, and I was a little hesitant to read this book because I know the main character's mother suffers from dementia, and that there is also a sudden death within the pages. I proceeded with caution, but I must say, this book was exactly what my heart needed. Xavier just may be my new book boyfriend; he was quite literally one of the most ooey-gooey-est cinnamon roll heroes I've come across. Samantha was equally as charming, and you can't help but root for them the entire book. One of the aspects of this book that really resonated with me is how Samantha had to watch her mom slowly fade away over time. Although my mother did not have dementia, she was diagnosed with something that we knew would ultimately take her life; it was just a matter of when. On one hand, you want to soak up every moment you have with them, and then on the other hand, it's like your heart is trying to protect itself from what it knows will ultimately be a heartbreak. I liked how Samantha's family came together to take care of Lisa. This is a book I read at the perfect time in my life because it made me feel seen and less alone. Xavier's parents are the worst villains of the story in the best type of way, and there was plenty of comedic relief throughout the pages to help through the heavy moments. I adored Xavier and Samantha together, and I thought that they complimented each other in the best type of way. I loved the different animals, from Pooter to Jake from State Farm. The fact that Xavier was this super hot veterinarian was just the icing on the cake. Throw in the she takes care of him when he's sick trope and I am 100% sold. Abby is truly a master of her craft, and every book of hers that comes out ends up being my new favorite of hers. She has yet to disappoint, and I look forward to reading many more of her books in the years to come.

So thankful for the opportunity to read an early copy of this one!! Love Abby Jimenez! She can do no wrong. The emotion. the depth, the way she brings characters to life and gets you to really care about them. This one was just as fantastic as her other books I've read. Definitely going to be one of the most popular and most loved releases this year!

This one was cute and touched base on a few serious life issues like dementia and strained family relationships.

A grumpy veterinarian, Xavier, has a meet-cute with Samantha when she brings in a tiny kitten to his clinic that “might” not be able to be saved, and they disagree on how to go about it. The chain of events leads them down a path of realizing how important it is to do life with other people; having someone know you to your core and remembering all the little things about you, even when those memories begin to fade away.

This has all your typical Abby elements. She seems to have a formula that she follows for writing her books. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, and always will love her books, it’s not my top favorite. My favorite is still The Happy Ever After Playlist.

I’ll still be buying a physical copy when it comes out to complete my ever-growing collection.

Out April 1st of this year!

Thank you @ReadForeverPub and @NetGalley for sending an Advance Reader’s Copy for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
