That was some messed up stuff. Two woman missing and their two sisters coming together to figure out what happened. While I had a slight inkling that I knew where this was heading, I really didn't expect the big reveal twist. This was very well written, easy to read and follow, and very engaging. If you're in the mood for something a little different plotwise, be sure to pick this one up.

Kasey Monroe and Jules Conner disappeared 7 years ago without a trace, both leaving behind sisters that felt as though their other half was ripped away. Nic, Kasey's sister, has been on a downward spiral for the 7 years since, getting DUIs, working a dead end job, not having a great relationship with her dad due to both of their grief. One day, Jenna Conner, sister of Jules, shows up at Nic's job, begging her to help join in on her task to figure out their cases and find who did this. Jenna and Nic team up, uncovering many secrets surrounding both cases. This was incredibly well written, I thoroughly enjoyed the writing. The pace was great, and the last 20% I read all in one sitting because I needed to know! This was a great thriller that I will definitely recommend to both friends and library patrons!

I loved Ashley Flowers first book and this one is a great follow-up. Two sets of sisters--each set has a missing sister and a sister who was left behind. The ones left behind team up to try and solve the mystery of what happened to their sisters. The book starts off slowly but the twists and turns in the back half of the book had me guessing the entire time.

What a ride! Flowers has a way of writing that keeps you in the story - you understand the characters and can really picture them in your mind. I was engrossed in the story and had strong feelings about what I thought was going to happen and boy was I surprised by the ending! I enjoyed her writing style and would recommend it to fellow readers.

Ooooooo! I was a fan of Ashley Flowers first novel, in fact I remember writing that about the absolute bananas ending and was psyched when approved to read the e-arc of her newest book (which doesn’t come out until May). She’s the creator of the podcast Crime Junkies, so you expect a good mystery/thriller, right? Yes! And that’s what you get. I was super engaged. I liked the storyline and even thought I’d figured out the antagonist and was completely wrong (which is my track record, haha!). The ending, again, totally cray cray bananas, which is my favorite! I always say I should take notes when I’m reading a mystery because I probably could figure it out but the end, but I never do. Thinking about all the small moments, it all tracked to the end. I loved it!

A treat! Big thanks to NetGalley and Random House for the ARC. I've been a Crime Junkie fan for a few years, and was excited to see Flowers branch into something new. Her first book was entertaining, but the ending was lacking and a bit on the disappointing side. The Missing Half definitely made up for that and more. The story was compelling, and the ending was satisfying. I hope to see more from her in the future!

It started off pretty slow, and I thought I had the whole thing figured out, but then boy, that twist hit me… was like ok that was pretty good and then it twisted again! If the first half had matched the intensity of the second, we’d be talking maybe a 4.5/5.

The short chapters were great for a quick read, and overall, it’s a solid mystery/whodunnit with a fantastic twist that kept me guessing! A big thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read this. It comes out on May 6th, 2025, and it’s definitely worth a read!

Okay wow... that was a wild ride. Currently recovering after staying up until 2am to finish this but no regrets! I binged this in just over 24 hours and it was exactly what I was looking for to get me out of a bit of a book slump. This book picks up QUICK, it grabbed me right from the first page and just doesn't let up. I called one of the twists early on and kinda felt like I had it figured out... but boy was I wrong. I really enjoyed the quick and snappy writing style, and the pacing was totally perfect. LOTS of twists and turns in this one and the ending genuinely shocked me which I can't say too often!

Wow wow wow W O W! I kept trying to think ahead and guess what was going to happen before it did, but I was wrong at (almost) every turn. This was just as good, if not better, than All Good People Here. While I know the ending of AGPH is very divisive and controversial, this one was wrapped up a little nicer. It still has the “what happens next??” element, but overall such a good read.

Two women went missing, two women remain. Jenna and Nic come together to try to figure out what happened to their sisters years ago. Both of whom seemed to vanish into thin air. This story starts quickly picks up steam and doesn't let up until the final reveal. Through various twists and turns (some surprising, others not) the story will keep you hooked as you too try to figure out what's going on. Short chapters and a moderately unreliable narrator keep the pages turning faster and faster. I'm excited to share this one with our patrons who love a good thriller.

I was really excited to read this title because I am a HUGE fan of Ashley Flowers (and Britt!!) and the podcast CrimeJunkie. This book is very well written and the characters are nicely developed. I really grew to care about the characters and wanted them to find resolution. They felt like real people that I might know. I definitely did not see the ending coming. I highly recommend this book!

Overall I just thought this title was blah. I did like the ending but it just wasn’t keeping my interest. Which could have been because the main character just annoyed me.

Early access provided by NetGalley. The sophomore novel from Flowers packs a punch! With plenty of twists, there’s still enough foreshadowing to help the reader sleuth it out. I especially loved the emphasis on the sisters’ bond- it felt real, and raw, and 1000x accurate. From unconditional love to absolute fury within seconds, Flowers captures the volatility of sisterhood. The ending feels a little overdone, with the killers evading justice once they’re revealed to be the sympathetic protagonist. Still, fans of All Good People Here will enjoy this second out by Ashley Flowers.

Absolutely blown away by this book!! From the characters to the plot to the incredible twist at the end, this book has all the makings of the perfect thriller. Following Nic as she struggles with the disappearance of her sister, she meets the sister of another missing girl and they set off trying to find out what happened that fateful august in 2012. The characters were well developed and the pacing of the story had me at the edge of my seat! Absolutely one of my new faves! The Missing Half was an overall suspenseful read that was fast-paced and twisty. My issue with the storyline was that it was very unbelievable and I had a hard time getting past that. Also the ending didn't seem to wrap up. I have mixed feelings overall but if you are looking for a quick, suspenseful read I would still recommend this.
