"The Summer Guests" by Tess Gerritsen is book 2 of a series but can be read as a standalone (I understood!!) it's a fast-paced and engaging thriller that mix suspense with a touch of nostalgia for the Cold War era. With a compelling cast of retired spies and a small-town police chief, the story kept me hooked as the characters unravel a complex web of secrets, old and new. I liked the balance between tension and camaraderie, making this a gripping read from start to finish!

Oh my gosh, get ready for a wild ride with this story! It was SO good! I loved the characters. It was so good! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
