I have not fully finished this one since it is a one year devotional, but I am enjoying it so far. I have read all of Bob Goff's books and find his personable writing to be enjoyable and relatable. I wish I had known that this was a devotional, however, because I was surprised to find out it was when I started reading it. I also wish each day was dated as it would help to keep up with it structurally. Overall, if readers are looking for a light, daily devotional, this is a good choice, especially for newer Christians.

Seeing opportunities to find whimsy or joy might not always be welcomed but this book made me smile and try to see things in a positive way every day since I finished it. I am a huge Bob Goff fan and own every book that he has published, even his wife's book. That being said I had a high expectation for this book as I love the others so much and it did not disappoint. Bob Goff is such an incredibly talented writer and Catching Whimsy, his newest release, is no exception. This is such a great daily devotional that brings together his "fun to read" writing style along with a breakdown of a specific bible verse to ponder as the day goes on. I love that he keeps the verse to 1 per day to keep it manageable and for me it helped to implement the teaching easier throughout the day with less dense daily scripture teachings. He provides such practical advice and a great strategies to implement the teachings - highly recommend!
