From my blog: Always With a Book:

Sarah Morgan is one of those authors that I just love and I cannot believe it took me so long to read this book. I’ve had this one sitting in my Netgalley to-read shelf for way too long and am so glad I finally got to it…I really did enjoy it.

This is the second book in Sarah Morgan’s O’Neil Brothers series but as it’s been years since I read the first book, Sleigh Bells in the Snow, I really had no issues jumping back in. I do love that with most series these days, each book really is written to stand on its own and that is definitely the case here, and of course that is more so the case with romance books. As I got further into the story, it did come back to me that I had met some of these characters before – and that’s what I do love about reading series, that continuation of characters.

I will admit that I do not read a ton of romance, but when I do, I tend to stick to my favorite authors and Sarah Morgan is one of them. She gives us depth with her stories and that is definitely the case here. I loved that while we are focused on the romance between Sean and Elise, there is also the underlying family drama happening with Sean’s family that really needs to be settled – that having to do with his father’s death. This gives the book a little substance and keeps it from just being a light and fluffy read, which I really appreciated.

There is one more book in this series, that is of course sitting in my Netgalley shelf just waiting to be read and I hope to read it soon. It’s already out – it was published in 2014 – but I do plan on reading it because again, Sarah Morgan is a tried and trusted author and for someone who doesn’t read a ton of romance, I know I can count on her.

If you are looking for an enjoyable, quick read, I definitely recommend picking this book up. It might be an older book, but I still enjoyed it and did not find it to be out-dated at all.

DNF - I wanted to review this novel since it peaked my interest and I like Sarah Morgan's other stories but was not able to before access was removed from my account. I apologize for not providing a review as was expected.

What's Interesting: Having her opening plans ruined and the guy from last summer's one night together is back in town! And that she only has one nights, but they fit together and that they both want more! Wondering if they can actually walk away from the other again!
