Eh, this one wasn't my favorite, I wasn't drawn to any of the characters in either story and didn't really feel like the auction aspect added anything to either story.

This was so much fun!!
I love retellings and the spice level was perfect.
I would love to read more from this authors.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wicked Pursuit is a very delicious spicy retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Red is a very naughty lady and who doesn't need a wolf stalker in their life? I love the spice that this author's books have. Divine Intervention is a Goldilocks retelling involving angels and demons. This one is about a witch and her ex's dad. Very interesting stories. All of these Black Rose auction stories have been worth a read.

The two books don't really feel like they are connected in any way shape or form. They would be better as stand alones.
Wicked pursuit 3 ⭐️
A lot of smut with little to no plot. The main characters also not really had chemistry in my eyes but I was entertained while reading it.
Divine Intervention 4⭐️
I loved the characters and the plot was great too. The world building and especially the explanation of some words was lacking tho.

Wicked Persuit
Katee Robert is a must read for me and this book did not disappoint. I loved all the tie ins in this book and I loved that it was a second generation book. The plot was so interesting and I was definitely along for the ride.
Divine Intervention
Unfortunately this was a DNF @ 28%, this was my first time reading this author and im not sure if this one is more interconnected with their other books but the set up was very confusing and I was not loving Papa Bear.

These two books are part of the Black rose auction series. The only connection factors being spice and the auction. And probably cover artist. Both also contain playlists. Both are technically retellings although there's barely any retelling beyond the names. Also nobody is getting hurt any more than they want to be. Trigger warning list at the beginning does a solid job of listing all the kinks and potential triggers.
Wicked pirsuit by Katee Robert
It's about mafia princess who wents looking for trouble because she's bored of her really lawful good boyfriend Luke.
It also has that annoying thing when bilingual person was clearly written by and for monolingual English audience. No, we don´t randomly say words in our native language while speaking English.
I liked it. It's like 80% porn.
They also included additional epilogue which was previously Parteon exclusive.
Divine intervention by R M Virtues
It's about an angel Tlalli who's done with Heaven's shit. Michael claims that her name is too difficult to pronounce and nicknamed her Goldilocks. It also involves stealing a priceless artifact from Black rose auction. I really liked it. I wish auhtor continued to write in this universe. Can't say much without spoilers but damn they have history going back until the creation of the World pretty much.
I liked it. There's way more substance to this one.

Well, these were hot and addicting novellas. I'm enjoying novella's more and more, and these two just a fun ride to go on.
Katee Robert definitely hit the mark with Wicked Pursuit. What more can you ask than a hot stalker, a auction house, and a lot spice? Honestly, I think that if you are looking for a quick escape to get lost in, Katee Robert honestly writes fun smutty books, so I know that if I'm looking for some spice, you can't go wrong. So If you are a fan of hers, definitely check this one out.
Then, we got double the fun with Divine Intervention. I'll be honest, it was not my favourite of the twos, but it was still fun. I guess it didn't register that there was the angel/demon dynamic, which I guess I wasn't expecting anymore after the first novella. Still, it was a quick hot fun, with some spicy MFM.
Honestly, this series is quite the fun ride, and I'll definitely check out the next books. I find it works well for when you want a quicker spicy read. And bonus point for being a collection of great authors.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Katee Robert can do no wrong in my eyes!
I am new to R.M. Virtues, but look forward to reading more of their work now!
Thanks so much for this review copy!

Two very interesting retellings from very different takes. I really enjoyed Katee Robert and the allusions at some of her other books that were in Wicked Pursuit. Divine Intervention was a different take on a retelling and while still interesting slightly less of my cup of tea.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for a honest review.

Wicked Pursuit was an incredible read! The tension, the twists, and the spice were well done and checked every single box for me. The dark obsession Wolf had was beautifully portrayed. Katee Robert, you have done it again!
Divine Intervention was a good reimagining of Goldilocks; however, the world building felt a bit rushed in my opinion (to be fair these were pre-existing characters). I did have to push myself through to finishing the book and I ended up loving the demons & angels plotline. Being able to see mentions of Naguals and my culture definitely brought a smile to my face!
This collection is one I want to continue reading for sure!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an eARC of these two books!

These books were dark and retold the classic Little Red Riding Hood story. I absolutely love retellings and reimaginings and re-anything when it comes to classic fairytales or myths and Katee Roberts definitely delivered. I was hooked from the very first page and could not stop thinking about the book whenever I wasn’t reading it.

These are so much fun, dark and spicy! Really great way to enjoy a book! Check your triggers though!

I’d like thank NetGalley and the publishes for sending me a copy of this two in one book. Forever thankful and this review is a honest reflection of my feelings towards this book.
What do you get when you combine a fairytale retellings and some steamy spice? You get the first 2 books in the Black Rose Auction series from Katee Robert( spicy author icon) and R. M. Virtues. These two are inspired by Little Red Riding Hood and Goldie Locks. I will admit that i I enjoyed Wicked Pursuit more cause it was more up my alley with the story and my familiarity with the authors work. I loved how the spiciness and the mafia combined to create this iconic story. The second was more of an angel/demon inspired story that was kind of a miss with the storyline but the spininess was blush inducing.
Overall these spicy fairytale stories were about. 3..75 read that I would recommend to anyone who likes spicy retellings.

Wicked Pursuit was spicy and interesting. The use of ghosting was an interesting concept to help solve the murder and was an new take that I hadn't heard of before. Although, it was difficult in the beginning to understand the setting and the relationship of the characters.
I had a hard time getting into Divine Intervention and wasn't able to finish the book. There were a lot of characters introduced and it was difficult to understand who was who and the relationship between them.

Once again another MASTERPIECE from Katee Robert. Wicked Pursuit is a Red Riding Hood retelling set in the Wicked Villains world with the daughter of Isabelle, Gaeton, and Beast as the FMC. It is also part of the Black Rose Auction anthology from Bonkers Romance, which are all fairytale remixes that are just oh so delicious.
I DEVOURED this book. It might honestly be one of my favorite of Katee’s books to date. Wicked Pursuit is a stalker romance done to absolute perfection. Ruby Belmonte is the heir to one of the families of Carver City. She has always done what is expected of her: she is the perfect daughter, with a job she is good at, a boyfriend who is normal and treats her well, even if things are a bit boring at the moment. Her life is just, fine, but she craves excitement and so she makes a rash decision. Shortly after, a mystery man starts texting her and makes it clear he has been watching her and knows what she did. This stalker begins blackmailing her and threatening anyone who comes near her. But instead of scaring her like it should, it brings a thrill into her life that she was missing. As the stakes get higher, Ruby has to decide if she’s ready to go all in, or if she should run away from the Big Bad Wolf.
Honestly this book was phenomenal from start to finish. Even though it’s a novella (around 200 pages), Katee managed to pack it full of back stories and complex character development. It was such a fully developed plot, and I loved watching Ruby’s growth throughout the book and coming to accept who she is and what she wants in her life. I LOVED the dynamic between Ruby and the Wolf. They had so much chemistry from the start and I loved the evolution of their relationship. The book of course was extremely hot as well. We all know Katee does a phenomenal job in writing a spicy scene, and she DELIVERED with this one. There was a primal scene that had me feral! I love how Katee manages to always balance kink and consent as well, and this one gave me everything I could want and more.
Katee’s worlds are always so much fun too. Many of them overlap or are part of another (both Carver City and Olympus exist in our modern world). I had so much fun with this book that exists in the Black Rose Auction world, but overlaps with Katee’s previous series’ worlds as well. This book is also a second gen from Wicked Villains, and while I don’t think it’s necessary to have read The Beast for this one, it was fun getting to see that trio operating as a parental unit in this book.
If you’re looking for a book that perfectly balances plot and spice in a quick novella-length read, you’ll definitely want to check this one out! It was such a wild ride and I can’t wait to get into more of the Black Rose Auction!
***Will update with review of Divine Intervention***

These are the first two books in the recently released Black Rose Auction series. These were smutty, dark, and fun.
First up is Wicked Pursuit by Katee Roberts. The foreword warns it gets dark and that is accurate. Roberts has a series of mafia romance retellings inspired by the mouse. This is the next generation.
This was a dark, messy, smutty good time. It has reckless behavior, a body count, and high heat. This is the stuff dark romance theydies make content about. I am very motivated to go back to the beginning of the Wicked series but this works on its own.
I haven’t read R. M. Virtues prior to Divine Intervention and I definitely would again. I tried to find more about their backlog but it looks like this is either the first or second in a series that focuses on angels and demons. Where Roberts work was firmly grounded in reality, this has magic, monsters, and more. I’m curious to dive deeper into the auction series and see who else has realities bumping up against each other.
Much like Roberts, Virtues does a good job balancing the heat and the plot. The auction site is considered neutral ground but that doesn’t stop plotting, maneuvering, and fornicating from happening. A spicy good time in a world where the stories are just beginning

This electrifying two-in-one anthology delivers dark romance, steamy suspense, and unforgettable twists. Wicked Pursuit by Katee Robert reimagines Little Red Riding Hood with a dangerously obsessive hero who would burn the world for his girl. It’s possessive, sinful, and addictively intense—though I craved even more depth and tension.
Divine Intervention by R.M. Virtues cranks up the heat with a wickedly seductive Goldilocks remix. A witch teams up with her ex's vengeful father and a tempting angel to steal a magical chalice from an elite auction. Their dangerous mission quickly turns into a sensual power play where revenge is served scorching hot.
Together, these stories create a decadent blend of danger, passion, and betrayal. Perfect for fans of dark, twisted romance who live for powerful alphas, high-stakes plots, and chemistry that burns off the page.

This duology Wicked Pursuit and Divine Intervention is spicy, steamy and is the perfect depiction of dark romance. Katee Robert is the expert on mythological retellings.

My thoughts:
Wicked Pursuit is everything I didn’t know I was looking for. Katee Robert took twisted fairytales to a whole new level with this one.
Wicked Pursuit may be a novella but it’s remarkably fleshed out. Part of that relies on the fact that this world is one that has already been established in Katee’s previous series. You don’t have to read that series to read this novella but there are a lot of references to characters from those books. With that being the case, Katee was able to focus less on the setting and more on the characters. Don’t get me wrong, you get a great feel for Carver City in this one but it’s not the focus of the story.
Ruby had her flaws but I loved her. She was sassy and bold and went after what she wanted. She sometimes acted without thinking though and that’s part of what led to her entanglement with Wolf. I won’t give anything away about him other than the fact that he’s got the alpha male thing perfected.
God, the two of them were hot. Every single scene with them was perfect. They had amazing chemistry and the spicy scenes were some of the best I’ve read. More than that though, they worked as a couple, helping to balance each other. I would not say no to more of this couple.
I can’t say there was a ton of plot or that it was an elaborate one but I honestly went into this expecting that. The plot was not the focus here. I do think it was decent, especially for a novella. It would easily set things up for a future series.
Overall, Wicked Pursuit is the perfect dark Disney stalker romance that I never knew I needed. I’m going to need to revisit Katee’s Wicked Villains series and check out more in this Black Rose Auction collection.
TL;DR
Twisted retellings meets stalker romance. Loved this one though it’s more a smut read than a plot read. While it is a spinoff of the Wicked Villains series, you can read it without having read those books.
Divine Intervention - DNF
While the writing was good and the premise intriguing, this didn't work for me. The pacing was too slow and the Goldilocks/Papa Bear thing just didn't quite work.
