This was a SUPER spicy read and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I also liked that the FMC is so flawed and at times unlikeable - it is ok to NOT root for the main character but sometimes I did find myself wanting her to succeed, even when she was doing the most reckless things.
I recommend reading the Wicked Villains series, at least up to The Beast (book 4) just to understand/appreciate the context and the characters referenced (her parents are Belle/Beast/Gaston!!) and this is the start of a whole other generation of kinky fairy tale characters!
The audiobook was also super well-done so if that is an option for you, definitely get that!!

This book was basically written precisely for me, and I am absolutely FERAL about it.
I got early access to the ARC and HOLY FUCK did I devour this book. Mind the CWs, there are definitely people who will want nothing to do with this. And that's okay. Stalking in real life? Not hot. This fictional stalker? Yes. Yes, please.
This is also a book that made me enjoy the fuck out of the main character cheating. Sound unbelievable? AND YET.
The suspenseful elements were also handled beautifully, and anticipation rose exponentially throughout until a pretty big reveal. All done so, so well.
God damn, Katee. You knocked it out of the park with this one.
I'm legit going to reread this right away to catch the things I missed on my first readthrough, too.

I'm always here for a fairy tale retelling, so a whole series of spicy ones is such a fun concept. I love the idea of a bunch of different established authors coming together to write to what's basically the same prompt, while all taking their own unique approaches.
That said...as much as I love a box set, and as much as I'm sure that the overall series order for the Black Rose Auction books is intentional and logical, I'm not sure that these two books were the best pairing. They're very, very different—really JUST connected by the fairy tale themes and the auction setting—and as someone new to the work of both authors and new to the series in general, I found myself confused at times by the stories' connections and wondering if I had missed something. The first book is a mafia stalker romance while the second is angels and demons and magic (oh my!), and while it's fun to see how both tied together, it seems to me that each is likely to appeal to a rather different audience. And overall, personally, I would have found the introduction to the series more intuitive if we had started with two stories that were fully grounded in the auction itself (not sure if any of the later stories in the series are, to be fair, but I would assume that some are?).
I was surprised that the first story was more to my taste, but even though "mafia stalker romance" really didn't sound like my kind of thing, Katee Robert can WRITE. This story was well crafted and ultimately just fun to read. I'm not super familiar with Katee Robert's other work, but this story makes me understand why she's such a big deal in the genre. To me, this book was a model for how to construct a perfect spicy book. Whether or not the specific tropes, plot lines, and, er, activities in this book are for you, you have to admit that this was a beautifully executed mini book.
The second story sounded WAY more up my alley, but unfortunately, it just didn't quite knock it out of the park in the same way. It felt way more original, but in order to set up that original concept, it leaned heavillyyyy on explanation and world-building, taking away, I feel, from characterization, plot, and momentum. I think I would have loved this as a full-length novel, but this particular format meant that it felt like the priorities were all out of order, the pacing was off, and the relationships were hard to believe. I definitely want to check out more by the author, and I'm glad I got to read this, but I'm guessing that this might not have been the best intro!
Bonus points to the book for the songs recommended for listening throughout, which I'm always a sucker for (though this book peppered them as footnotes, which was an interesting choice—I think I'm finding that I'd prefer to see one playlist, even if that doesn't get the timing as perfect!).
ONE THING TO BE AWARE OF (I wasn't!): The first book apparently incorporates characters from Robert's Wicked Villains series. If, like me, you haven't read that series—or, er, heard of it—you might at times go "Wait, did I miss something?" Yeah, we apparently missed entire books' worth of backstory for side characters! I think that these were meant as Easter eggs for existing fans, but the characters were integrated into the story a little too heavily and it did make things a bit confusing at times. A little note explaining would have made all the difference and kept folks like me from getting confused! So, if you're like me, just know...you haven't missed anything. This story can be read as a standalone. And apparently we have a whole series to catch up on if we want!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ebook copy of this book. All opinions are, of course, my own!

Bold, spicy, and absolutely electric 🖤
Wicked Pursuit and Divine Intervention delivered everything I hoped for—high heat, divine drama, and characters that sizzle with chemistry. The world feels lush and dangerous, with that perfect mythological twist that keeps things feeling fresh and fierce. Each story had its own flavour, but both brought the steam, the emotion, and the chaos in the best way. And let’s not forget the narrators—incredible. They captured every sultry moment, every sharp-tongued quip, and all that raw vulnerability like pros. Honestly, this audiobook duo? Unmissable if you’re into divine thirst traps and morally delicious chaos.

YES HI HELLO TWO OF MY FAVOURITE AUTHORS PUT OUT A BOOK TOGETHER AND I HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO BREATH LET ALONE READ AND THEN WRITE A REVIEW - work is kicking my a**- BUT OMG I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I GOT THIS ARC SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUU
ok no that that's out of the way...
WICKED PURSUIT:
4.5 ⭐️ I want to live in every world Katee Roberts writes.
And, sure, they are all unhinged and borderline insane, but so it's this one we're in right now!? Listen, I don't make the rules. If I did we'd all be kinder to each other... or else lol.
This is a Red Riding Hood retelling and we see the daughter of Isabelle, Gaeton and Beast get herself her own f*cked up little love story. And I loved every second. I've read the entire Wicked Villains Series so this was really just a treat! Wolf was something else, and even if I saw the 'twist' coming from the beginning, I still liked it.
🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 - So, I don't think this could be spicier. Like I can think of very, very few things that weren't explicitly described and done in this book. It's all great stuff lol- highly recommend!
DIVINE INTERVENTION:
2.5 ⭐️ I don't do Age Gaps. Reverse Age-Gaps? For sure! Doing your ex's dad? Nope. But I loved Sing Me To Sleep so I'm giving this one a passing grade even though I skimmed a lot of it.

Two of my favorite authors writing books and it being made into one set? Amazing. I adored these stories so much and it was such a fun read!

Morally grey heroine? Check. Broody 'Id burn the world down for you' love interest? Absolutely.
and spice?
Off. The. Charts.🔥
If you like enemies forced to work together in a world full of deadly magic and twisted politics-
This book will ruin you the best way.
You're not just reading this for the plot. You're reading it for him. and her.
Tropes: Found Family, fated mates (with a twist), revenge arc redemption, protective MMC

One auction house, one enigmatic Reaper, and two very different and sizzling stories! I think my eReader started to melt during the first one and continued to steam for the second. Mafia, bratva, BDSM, and much spice lead - followed by angels, demons, archangels, and quite a bit of sinning in the second - yet both revolve around freedom of different sorts. A great read for fans of darker romance with real substance.

3.5⭐
Fairytale Retelling lover here, and I absolutely enjoyed these, however I did enjoy on more than the other.
Wicked Pursuit is a Little Red Riding Hood STEAMY retelling, with a sexy plot twist that I ate up!
Divine Intervention - Another SPICY retelling, this time of Goldilocks - however, if I'm being honest with you, the 'Bedroom scenes' are all I remember - so thank you R.M. Virtues.
Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Eh, this one wasn't my favorite, I wasn't drawn to any of the characters in either story and didn't really feel like the auction aspect added anything to either story.

This was so much fun!!
I love retellings and the spice level was perfect.
I would love to read more from this authors.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Wicked Pursuit is a very delicious spicy retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Red is a very naughty lady and who doesn't need a wolf stalker in their life? I love the spice that this author's books have. Divine Intervention is a Goldilocks retelling involving angels and demons. This one is about a witch and her ex's dad. Very interesting stories. All of these Black Rose auction stories have been worth a read.

The two books don't really feel like they are connected in any way shape or form. They would be better as stand alones.
Wicked pursuit 3 ⭐️
A lot of smut with little to no plot. The main characters also not really had chemistry in my eyes but I was entertained while reading it.
Divine Intervention 4⭐️
I loved the characters and the plot was great too. The world building and especially the explanation of some words was lacking tho.

Wicked Persuit
Katee Robert is a must read for me and this book did not disappoint. I loved all the tie ins in this book and I loved that it was a second generation book. The plot was so interesting and I was definitely along for the ride.
Divine Intervention
Unfortunately this was a DNF @ 28%, this was my first time reading this author and im not sure if this one is more interconnected with their other books but the set up was very confusing and I was not loving Papa Bear.

These two books are part of the Black rose auction series. The only connection factors being spice and the auction. And probably cover artist. Both also contain playlists. Both are technically retellings although there's barely any retelling beyond the names. Also nobody is getting hurt any more than they want to be. Trigger warning list at the beginning does a solid job of listing all the kinks and potential triggers.
Wicked pirsuit by Katee Robert
It's about mafia princess who wents looking for trouble because she's bored of her really lawful good boyfriend Luke.
It also has that annoying thing when bilingual person was clearly written by and for monolingual English audience. No, we don´t randomly say words in our native language while speaking English.
I liked it. It's like 80% porn.
They also included additional epilogue which was previously Parteon exclusive.
Divine intervention by R M Virtues
It's about an angel Tlalli who's done with Heaven's shit. Michael claims that her name is too difficult to pronounce and nicknamed her Goldilocks. It also involves stealing a priceless artifact from Black rose auction. I really liked it. I wish auhtor continued to write in this universe. Can't say much without spoilers but damn they have history going back until the creation of the World pretty much.
I liked it. There's way more substance to this one.

Well, these were hot and addicting novellas. I'm enjoying novella's more and more, and these two just a fun ride to go on.
Katee Robert definitely hit the mark with Wicked Pursuit. What more can you ask than a hot stalker, a auction house, and a lot spice? Honestly, I think that if you are looking for a quick escape to get lost in, Katee Robert honestly writes fun smutty books, so I know that if I'm looking for some spice, you can't go wrong. So If you are a fan of hers, definitely check this one out.
Then, we got double the fun with Divine Intervention. I'll be honest, it was not my favourite of the twos, but it was still fun. I guess it didn't register that there was the angel/demon dynamic, which I guess I wasn't expecting anymore after the first novella. Still, it was a quick hot fun, with some spicy MFM.
Honestly, this series is quite the fun ride, and I'll definitely check out the next books. I find it works well for when you want a quicker spicy read. And bonus point for being a collection of great authors.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Katee Robert can do no wrong in my eyes!
I am new to R.M. Virtues, but look forward to reading more of their work now!
Thanks so much for this review copy!

Two very interesting retellings from very different takes. I really enjoyed Katee Robert and the allusions at some of her other books that were in Wicked Pursuit. Divine Intervention was a different take on a retelling and while still interesting slightly less of my cup of tea.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for a honest review.

Wicked Pursuit was an incredible read! The tension, the twists, and the spice were well done and checked every single box for me. The dark obsession Wolf had was beautifully portrayed. Katee Robert, you have done it again!
Divine Intervention was a good reimagining of Goldilocks; however, the world building felt a bit rushed in my opinion (to be fair these were pre-existing characters). I did have to push myself through to finishing the book and I ended up loving the demons & angels plotline. Being able to see mentions of Naguals and my culture definitely brought a smile to my face!
This collection is one I want to continue reading for sure!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an eARC of these two books!
