This book was available on Netgalley as a Read Now book and then my digital file expired before I had a chance to read it but I found this book on Kindle Unlimited and ended up reading it that way. I enjoyed this book. It really made me think. I highlighted so many things in the Kindle book. I started journaling along with it. It has guided journaling prompts but I decided not to do them because I thought they were too hard so I looked up some journaling prompts on Google and chose the ones I wanted to do but when I didn’t want to do the journaling prompts, I did stream of consciousness writing where I filled up 3 pages of my journal with whatever random thoughts I had in my head without editing what I was writing. I liked the stream of consciousness writing and I will continue doing it because I think it’s really interesting seeing where my thoughts are going. I also decided to take notes last night from this book. I summarized each chapter just so I could get all of the main ideas from the book because it had a lot of good advice and I ended up with 9 pages of notes in my notebook when I was done.

This book changed my perspective and thinking on a lot of things and aspects of life. We as people do tend to not deal with our mental health in the right ways and forms.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is a great and positive self-help guide. I love the idea of becoming a superhero through self-improvement and the quotes provided with the personal notes pages are a nice touch. The chapters are broken down into sections that make it much more easily digestible and the book isn’t overly religious despite the few bible verses dotted through the book which makes it accessible to christians and atheists/agnostics alike.

I found this book really useful and insightful for finding ways to challenges my thinking and changing my everyday wellbeing practice.
I've been looking for a way to kickstart my journalling practice and this book was exactly what I needed, it's got individual chapters that give you prompts on what to reflect on and ways to set yourself goals.
The key focus of this book is the power of positivity that the brain holds. I'm just at the start of my journey of self care and becoming the person I want to be but this book has helped to give me focus with daily tasks that I can be doing and positive ways of approaching something that felt quite daunting.
