I've really enjoyed Sandie Jones' previous books, but the writing style of I Would Die for You felt very different. The narrative voices (yes, there are multiple POVs and, no, they aren't particularly unique or interesting) are so dramatic. I don't want to undermine the seriousness of what happens to Nicole's daughter, but even before that, her narration is so over-the-top that I kept rereading sentences to understand what was actually happening. After reading some other reviews, I'm bummed to confirm that my decision to DNF was probably the best one.

Even though this was not a fit for me, I'm still interested in reading Jones' next books in the hope that they'll be more of what I love about her writing.

Wow! This story made me feel all the feels! Great storyline, that kept me interested. It is a well written story that brings the past and present together in alternating chapters. I became so emotionally attached to the characters I finished it in one night!
The story is about a broken family, who goes through a terrible tragedy. One tragedy was unavoidable, the other was intentional. After the dust settles and it seems everyone has moved on, the story comes back to haunt everyone again. I do not dare say much more because you need to read the book!
Everything about this story worked for me.

When I read the description,I thought it would be a good mystery. I was wrong.
I didn't understand how Nicole and her husband could go from being so in love, to him walking away so quickly. Over something that happened long before they met.
The back and forth between the 2 time periods got a little confusing.
And I HATED the ending!?!

I have read most of Sandie Jones’ book and enjoyed the domestic suspense, but this book felt markedly different in tone. It is not my favorite of her list, but I would recommend this book to those who enjoy reading about pop culture, enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six, or anyone who has gotten a bit too obsessed about a celeb.

This book certainly kept me guessing. I appreciated the character development we witnessed. I also found the plot intriguing.

However, I had some reservations about certain plot choices. In my opinion, there were unnecessary parts of the story that felt like filler. Additionally, there’s a more graphic sexual assault scene that readers should be aware of. While I’ve enjoyed all of Sandie Jones’s books, this one felt rushed and lacked thorough development. It left me with unanswered questions that seemed more like plot holes than cliffhangers.
I’ve read all of Sandie Jones’s books and have thoroughly enjoyed every one but this one felt different. I’ll certainly still keep reading her!

Very good- loved the story, the secrets and the twists. Would definitely recommend this book to my friends!

I have loved stories by this author but this one not so much.

I think it’s due to me not connecting with the premise. I am aware that there are people/groupies that act like this/allow themselves to be treated like this but it’s disheartening to read about it. Also, Cassie inventing this completely delusional relationship and then the lengths and deplorable actions that take place in retaliation just were too much for me to stomach.

I love the way this author writes and I did feel the need to finish the story so it is entertaining enough just not my favorite.

I had to think about this one before I could write a review. The idea of groupie obsession over rock stars is repulsive to me on many levels. As the story unfolds we witness an unstable family dynamic made worse by jealousy and denial. I actually sympathized with the rock star character caught between these sisters.

There were some odd gaps in the story regarding security protocols, whether or not others knew what was really going on and how many years pass before there's a resolution. Overall, however, I was disappointed by this book.

I really struggled with this one. The premise sounded super interesting! However, the book fell short of my expectations (which I do not like feel are high). The time jumps between the past and the present felt abrupt and uncoordinated at times. Every single character was unlikeable and had absolutely no redeeming qualities. And the end....there is no reason to end a book that is not shown to possibly be the start of a series on a cliffhanger in the middle of a scene. It felt like there should have been more pages, but not in a good way. I probably would have not finished this book if I was not invited to read it through NetGalley.

Sadly this one is not for me. I did not request this book but instead was invited by the publisher, St. Martin's Press, to read and review it. Unfortunately, I will not be able to finish it. The characters are all unlikeable and there is little to no plot to speak of. It seems to be a YA book, although not billed as such. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I Would Die for you is a gripping suspense that leaves you in a chokehold to the very end. I seriously couldn’t put this down.

Readers who enjoy mysteries may find much to appreciate here even though the ending leaves much to be desired. However, the inclusion of an unnecessary, offensive expletive throughout the narrative is likely to be particularly off-putting to many readers; it lowers the rating for this book.

This started off strong, I was enjoying the rock and roll references and the dual timelines, but something somewhere along the way I didnt feel connected anymore and started to not care about either timeline. Did not hold my interest.

Sandie Jones’s “I Would Die for You” is a captivating read. Nicole, burdened by her past, retreats until a mysterious stranger inquires about her role in the infamous 80’s band’s downfall. Masterful storytelling seamlessly blends 80’s flashbacks and present-day events, keeping you guessing until the end. If you enjoy mysteries, I highly recommend it!

I'm not really sure why, I just didn't love this book. It wasn't as thrilling as I thought it would be. The ending felt rushed.
