DELAYED REVIEW!
If you are a thriller enjoyer, you should definitely check out this book! I was kept on my toes the whole time. Sometimes jumping back and forth between times confuses me but it wasn't hard to follow. I liked learning things that happened in the past and getting the AHA moments when we were in the present. It kept me on my toes and I kept wanting to know what would happen next. I ended up finishing it in a day! and THE END. I had to go reread a couple of times because I was like, "wait, what happened?!".
If you like thrillers, definitely check this book out, available now!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for the e-ARC of this book!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a readers copy of this title. My reviews never contain spoilers and are freely given.
Set in the world of 80’s rock, and the present, the story alternates between two time periods. A California wife and mother hiding from her past is forced to face it when her daughter is approached by her “auntie”, who the mother told her family had died years before.
Her younger sister’s obsession with a boy band in the 80’s leads to a twisted tragedy that is now rearing its head in the present.
The story is good, but in my mind could have been a bit more suspenseful in the present storyline. Overall I found it to be a good, but average mystery.

WOW! This absolute page-turner had me whipping through pages with my jaw on the floor multiple times!
I'm still recovering from all those twists. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, BOOM - everything changes!
The way this story keeps you on your toes is insane! Every time I thought I had it figured out, Jones completely flipped the script. And can we talk about how wild this ride was? My heart was racing the entire time!

I loved this story with more twists and turns than a street in San Francisco. Told in multiple timelines, all the lies and deceptions, all supposedly for good reasons, blurred the lines of multiple relationships and threatened to destroy everyone. The major reveal was a complete surprise, but completely earned in hindsight.
This is a must read and I will be searching for more from this author.

“If you have something burning within you - a passion that you can’t extinguish - you have to at least follow that light for as long as you can.” OK, I have no idea how that’s pertains to what I read but it was very quotable. As far as the book, the characters, the whole idea was so less than meaningful. Groupies to the nth degree willing to do anything to get what they wanted. Was that the passion that couldn’t be extinguished?! I had a hard time believing that a teenager could be so wily, so devious, so treacherous and so unlikeable, yet I know this depiction is true. Now multiply all that by two or more, then take away all value, leaving me with next to nothing and that is pretty much how I felt about this story.
I am putting “I Would Die For You” in the “Not my Favorite Read” category, rating it 3 stars and assuming some of the responsibility for my lack of connection. I want to thank Minotaur Books and NetGalley for a copy.

I Would Die For You started strong with the suspense and then quickly fizzled out for me. I enjoy multi POV in thrillers but the flashback chapters could not hold my attention and the thrills were lackluster. I think the ending felt a little chaotic and a little unrealistic.

This wasn’t a super terrible book but I don’t think it was for me. I found every person in this book frustrating. They were either super delusional and/or they lie a lot. I strongly disliked every single person in this book with the exception of maybe one 😅 and another particular person is just a literal psycho.
There are some decent twists and turns but it’s hard for me to fully connect and like a book with a bunch of unlikable characters. I honestly found most of the events and behaviors in this book to be wildly unbelievable.
This wasn’t for me but it was written fine. I’d be interested to try another book by this author. If you’re able to suspend your disbelief, you may still enjoy this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this title.
I did not enjoy this one at all. I read over half of it and just could not get into it at all. So many times I rolled my eyes. I could not connect with Nicole and her sister was completely insane. I added this one to my DNF pile unfortunately.

I love a good dual timeline novel. In I Would Die for You, I feel like the 1980s timeline was a lot more interesting than the current. When Cassie was telling the story, it really did feel like Ben was into her, but when someone else was narrating, you could see just how cringey Cassie's fangirl obsession was. The ending of the book made me want to throw my kindle across the room so if you have a good protective case on your own kindle add this book to your TBR.

Thank you Netgalley, St. Martin's Press for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.
The story is about Nicole, a Forbes , a young wife and mother who resided in a simple and quiet life in Coronado Island. She loves nature and she is very passionate advocate in protecting the local seal population. Nicole's past life back in England is something she has been keeping quiet with. Back in the day she was connected with a music band named Secret Oktober. Now, Nicole’s past and present collide, this time with her daughter in the middle getting involved. The fear that her carefully constructed life is in danger and may be destroyed by secrets and lies she thought she’d left behind and will never have to deal with.
This is fast paced, quite predictable but decent read. I will not say that I love it but I also did not hate it. This is not my favorite of Sandie Jones and that is a lot since I like this author very much.

Sandie Jones is an author that i have thoroughly enjoyed in the past. I think this one just wasn't for me. I ended up hating the characters & wanting the book to just end. The POV transitions were confusing & the past timeline parts were so messy to me. This entire book felt rushed & unlike the other books I have read by this author. I don't know what else to say except that this was a major disappointment for me.

Sandie Jones’s I Would Die for You is a psychological thriller that explores obsession, fame, and family secrets. The story follows Nicole, a woman with a quiet life in California, whose past comes back to haunt her when her daughter goes missing—apparently taken by someone claiming to be a long-lost relative. This sets off a suspenseful journey into Nicole's past, particularly her connection to a British rock star in the 1980s and the dangerous world of celebrity fandom.
Told in alternating timelines between 1986 and 2011, the novel slowly reveals how Nicole and her sister Cassie got caught up in the chaotic life of a famous band—and the terrible consequences that followed. As secrets unravel, Nicole is forced to face long-buried truths that put her present life in jeopardy.
Jones keeps the pace quick and the tension high, though some twists feel a bit far-fetched. Still, the dual narrative keeps things engaging, and the book is an easy, entertaining read for fans of domestic suspense.
Verdict: While not her strongest novel, I Would Die for You delivers solid thrills and emotional tension, perfect for readers who enjoy messy family dramas mixed with dark secrets.

I enjoyed the dual timelines of this book but at times it was almost too suspenseful and gave much too little away. The ending the was unclear and abrupt leaving much to be desired.

I always enjoy a book that keeps you hooked and guessing and this was it! I wasn’t able to get the ending, which I love and it was a great ending! The mystery aspect was great and everything seemed to tie together nicely!

I left my review for the book itself on the eBook, but I’ll mention here that the narration didn’t quite resonate with me. It didn’t pull me in the way I had hoped, and overall, it felt quite different from the author’s other works.

I Would Die For You is a mystery/suspense by Sandie Jones. I would say this is a bit like Daisy Jones with a mystery/suspense aspect.
Nicole Forbes lives a relatively quiet life with her husband and daughter. No one in her small community would even begin to imagine that the mom with a seemingly perfect life who invests most of her time trying to save the local seals has a dark past.
When a woman shows up at her door asking Nicole for an interview for a book she’s writing that includes all the secrets she has been painstakingly hidden over the years, Nicole panics.
At the same time, Nicole’s young daughter is signed out by a mystery woman claiming to be her aunt. Nicole knows these two events cannot be a coincidence and she begins to unravel her past to find her daughter.
This is a dual timeline, multiple POV storyline. I’m a big fan of this author and have read several of her books, this is probably my least favourite. The author kept me guessing until the end but I had a tough time connecting with any of the characters or the past storyline. This is a 3 star read for me.

I Would Die For You - Sandie Jones
4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Told in multiple timelines/POV we meet Cassie who is a obsessed groupie and Nicole who’s daughter is missing. The story comes together at the end with a perfect plot twist.
I really enjoyed this book, my only complaint is the ending felt so rushed. I would love an epilogue or some kind of closure.

Ok I do not know why people didn't like this. I really freaking liked it. And I'm a hard cookie to impress lately with books. I was attached halfway in and just wanted to know what happened. I didn't get the ending at first then I was like no way!! NOOOO. How could she end the book like that?? It's good to me. If you liked Daisy Jones maybe you'll like this one too.

I like this one but it didn't wow me. If you really like the 80s or the music scene as a back drop to a thriller, I think you'd really like it! I liked the mystery and thought it was really well-plotted, but it seemed like some of the decisions towards the end didn't really match who we knew the characters to be. I think the beginning especially was a bit slow, but overall I did like it.

This is my pick for thriller of the year! Sandie does an incredible job of melding the characters' timelines together between 1986 and 2010 the story follows two sisters and their everyday lives until things begin to spiral. There are so many secrets and twists and turns it really keeps you guessing until the shocking end!
