What a beautiful and funny Christmas book to lift you up and give you all the cozy Christmas feels. I just couldn't put it down. Talk about the dopamine feeling. This is the perfect book to snuggle up with. Absolutely loved the banter and the Irish element I wished it would never end.
Johnson is an amazing storyteller and brings a bit of magic into your worl with this adorable story of friendship, love, romance, and more.
Cassie goes to London to take time out from her life in the US to a tiny village of Irish residents, renting a little cottage that needs work. In comes Ryan our gorgeous handyman and joker. On the other hand we have landowner and owner of the house on the hill, Charles a viscount both men in like with beautiful Cassie.
Oh, I just love the sweet ending and happy with her choices.

This was a really cute story. A very sweet romance that is very light on the romance and more towards Cassie finding new purpose and meaning in her life after what she has gone through.
Cassie is pretty much at a crossroads in her life when she decides to leave New York City and travel to England for a month to spend the holidays alone. Her dearly departed Nana Nora was from Ireland and this seems like something she would want for Cassie. Except she ends up being anything but alone in the charming little town the cottage she rented is in that is actually called Little Ireland. Of course, all was not as looked like it would be online when she paid for her rental.
I don’t want to spoil anything but let’s just say she meets an interesting cast of folks including two very different men, and isn’t quite sure of her feelings as both relationships are very platonic at first. She finds she has only has romantic feelings towards one of them. I really like both of them though, Charles and Ryan. They are as opposite as they come, but both are very good men and very much what Cassie needs right now. But her heart eventually only leads her in one direction which then leads to a sweet HEA.

As a fan of the Starshine Cove series, I was thrilled to dive into this Christmas novel by Debbie Johnson. From the very beginning, it gave me vibes of the Christmas film 'The Holiday', and I absolutely adored every second of this fantastic book. This book is a delightful festive read, filled with romance and travel, making it a perfect holiday escape. If you're looking for something heartwarming and fun for the season, this book is a must-read!

This was my first book by Debbie Johnson and it’s got me desperate to read more. A witty, joyful read that just kept on making me smile and left me with a lovely festive glow. It’s warm and deliciously romantic.
I loved the character development as lonely New Yorker Cassie learns to trust her heart again. The two potential heroes are suitably gorgeous, and with a varied cast of side characters and beautiful settings, you really can’t go wrong with this one. It’s like the best festive Richard Curtis movie, but better. Thank you to Debbie Johnson and to Storm Publishing for such a fabulous few hours of reading.

This book was a great holiday read, that checked many of my boxes. Callie, still trying to get over her ex, is convinced by her friend June to take a vacation in hopes to help her heal and move on.
What Callie doesn't expect is to find love a long the way. Both of her potential love interest are swoon worthy (Ryan and Charlie). I was rooting for the one she chose the entire book. I do however, wish there was a little more sexual tension and a little more romance as did feel it was a little rush. As well, I would of enjoyed the book being a little longer as well.
4 stars.

Debbie Johnson's "A Very Irish Christmas" is the perfect book to put you in the mood for the holidays! This was the first novel I've read by this author, but it certainly won't be my last.
I thoroughly enjoyed the world and characters Johnson crafted. From the village of 'Little Ireland' and its inhabitants to the characters like Ryan and Cassie, this book is full of so much heart and humor.
There were a few places toward the end I'd wished were a little longer, such as another scene with Georgie and Charlie, but overall, I'd still give it a solid 5 stars.
All thoughts and opinions of this book are my own.

Debbie Johnson's *"A Very Irish Christmas"* is a heartwarming festive romance that transports you straight into the enchanting English countryside. Cassie, the main character, embarks on a journey to honor her late grandmother’s memory and perhaps find some healing along the way. The small, snow-dusted village in the Cotswolds where she lands is full of charm and holiday cheer, offering the perfect backdrop for this Christmas adventure.
Cassie’s romantic dilemma between two charming suitors was a fun aspect of the plot, though I didn’t feel a strong connection between her and either love interest. However, that didn’t take away from the overall warm and cozy vibe of the story.
Johnson has crafted a cozy, uplifting holiday read that’s easy to get lost in. With Irish humor, festive celebrations, and a sprinkle of romance, this is a great choice for anyone looking for a light, feel-good Christmas story.

When New York-born Cassie O'Hara decides to use the money her sassy Irish nana Nora left in her will to book a month-long stay in a quaint country village, she's expecting a cozy cottage, steak-and-ale pie and plenty of Christmas cheer. Instead, she gets a draughty disaster covered in dust, a temperamental stray dog and two devastatingly handsome men vying for her attention…
There's Charles, the dashing English aristocrat with an enormous manor house and a heart of gold. And Ryan, a curly-haired Irish handyman with a past he won't talk about and an accent that makes her weak at the knees.
When Charles enlists Cassie's event-planning expertise to save his family estate, she finds herself working shoulder to shoulder with Ryan, breathing new life into Bancroft Manor. As village life weaves its spell, Cassie uncovers some intriguing secrets about Nana Nora's past. With her return ticket looming and her heart pulling her in unexpected directions, can Cassie find the love and belonging Nana Nora always wanted for her?
I loved reading this. Cassie is heartbroken and looking for change so she books herself a Christmas getaway to try to get back to her Irish roots. By chance she ends up in a village in England known as Little Ireland and has the pick of two very attractive men.
This is a great Christmas read with everything you could ask for in a book. I adored all the Characters and the little side plots. A really great Christmas story.

If you’re in the mood for a cozy, heartwarming Christmas rom-com sprinkled with Irish charm, this book is your festive ticket! It’s got all the feels of a classic small-town story, where the whole village knows everyone’s name and pitches in to help—it’s the kind of community spirit that makes your heart swell. Cassie, the big-hearted heroine, is everything you want in a Christmas novel lead, while her two love interests—British, royal-blooded Charles and charming Irish flirt Ryan—are pure swoon material. Despite the open love triangle, the vibe stays low on angst and high on feel-good moments. This story is a joy to read as they navigate love, life, and the holiday magic. Perfect for a cozy night by the fire!

Christmas in book from. I loved reading this. Cassie is heartbroken and looking for change so she books herself a Christmas getaway to try to get back to her Irish roots. By chance she ends up in a village in England known as Little Ireland and has the pick of two very attractive men. Which she follow Nanna Nora's advice and trust her heart?
This is a great Christmas read with everything you could ask for in a book. I adored all the Characters and the little side plots. A really great Christmas story.

Okay full disclosure, I went into this book expecting the typical cookie cutter Christmas romance. I was so pleasantly surprised! Debbie Johnson delivered such a beautiful story of heritage, healing, and friendship. While it is categorized as a Romance, the romantic relationships are not the focus of the book.
The characters of A Very Irish Christmas are so easy to fall in love with and are all in healing journeys of their own. The lush descriptions of Ireland and England make me want to explore my own Irish heritage. I would highly recommend you add this book to your holiday reading list! This is the PERFECT book to curl up with on a snowy day with a fire and some cocoa.

A highlyrecommended story

Is this a cute, cozy Christmas romance novel? Yes, absolutely and the charming settings in England & Ireland adds to the warmth and coziness.
But it is so much more than that! It feels like a reflection on different type of grief, on life, on what makes a family. It is a book full of various type of love shown in different ways. It’s actually what I loved most about it. How it gracefully balances heartwarming moments with deeper, emotional truths. It’s not just a feel-good holiday read; it’s a celebration of the many ways we come together.
Even though I really enjoyed it, I struggled a bit in the beginning. I am very happy that I kept going, I would definitely read Debbie Johnson’s previous and next works!

This was a fab read, funny, sweet & unpredictable I loved the characters, the charm and the subtle Christmas vibes.
An eye-catching cover design pulls you in, and the "American in England" theme was very fitting with The Holiday which is one of my favourite films.
Perfect for cosying up with.

A fab festive find this book is!
A lovely Christmas read that I could really imagine as a film.
Really enjoyed it.

Reading A Very Irish Christmas felt like sitting with a cozy, delicious mug of hot chocolate during the holiday season, with snow falling outside—or at least, what I imagine that would feel like, since I live in a country where it’s 40 degrees Celsius in December! This book is the very definition of comforting, cozy, and heartwarming.
I loved how it felt like I was discovering the village and taking the leap with Cassie. Every new character felt like someone I was meeting myself. Honestly, who hasn’t dreamed of visiting a picturesque village in Ireland, England, or Scotland and finding a place that feels like home? Just me? Well, this book made me feel like I kind of did, and it was an amazing experience.
The characters were great, and even though I didn’t agree with Cassie’s final choice, the story left me feeling warm and ready for Christmas. I do wish there had been a bit more romance, though. I mean, it was there, but I just expected more. In all fairness, this story was more about Cassie’s journey to finding herself than the romance, so I can’t be too hard on it.
As someone who’s lost both of my grandmas, who were such important and loving figures in my life, I really appreciated how the author used Nora’s passing—Cassie’s grandma—to gently guide her growth. It didn’t feel forced or heavy—it was natural, like Nora’s memory was always there, quietly helping Cassie find her way.
If, like me, you love re-watching cozy, heartwarming movies during the holiday season, this book is definitely for you.

3.5 ⭐️
Super easy and cute Christmas read. I really adore that it was set in England and Ireland. It just makes everything feels so much more charming and cozy. The characters are warm and lovable with flaws of their own adding some complexity to this rom-com. This was also a closed door romance which I love with only one very briefly described make out session. I only have two minor complaints with this book. One is the use of exclamation points (just a few too many for my preference). Two is that some of the dialogue could be better developed. Some dialogues felt very written— they didn’t feel natural if you were to take it and speak it aloud.

I loved this book! It’s the perfect Christmas travel book! Loved the small town village setting was such quick read! Definitely recommend

Adorable! Like a lovely Hallmark holiday movie, this was a perfect read for anyone who’s ever dreamt of running off to the English countryside, complete with charming thatched cottages, a dreamy old estate, and a cast of quirky but welcoming villagers.
