Oh my gosh, this audiobook was AMAZING! I literally could not stop! The story, the characters, the whimsy… it was all just so unique and beautiful!

The second book "The Mirror" in the Lost Bride Trilogy did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of reading the book and listening to the audiobook a week after I finished the book. Brittany Pressley's narration was excellent as always..
We start exactly where the 1st book ended at the Mirror, just like I expected. Sonja glides into the mirror and sees Brides from the past that have lived at the manor. She is trying to figure out how to help the bridge of the past while also living her life. This book delves much more into day to day life in the manor and Sonja learning about her relatives past and present. Additionally we see Cleo and Owen's relationship blossom as they help Sonja.
It was a great book but I would definitely suggest reading The Inheritance first.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arcs.

So this was my first Nora Roberts book and I did enjoy it a lot. This is book 2 and maybe you are wondering how this is my 1st book by her lol I read a summary of her 1st one so I could go into this one!
I did enjoy it more than I thought I would and I’m excited to check out more of her books! 📖
The characters are so fun and funny and you just fall in love with them!
I will look for more books by Nora!
Pub date: November 19th

Narrator: Brittany Pressley did a great job with the male, female and era voices.
The Book: This is a fascinating storyline, and the cast of characters are interesting and complex. It made a huge impact on me.
Sonya's best friend, Cleo, is living with her in the haunted house as a support system along with visits from Sonya’s cousin, Owen, and her romantic interest Trey. These four characters all believe in the mysterious happenings and work together to find the solution to the lurking evil in the house.
What I like about this book is that even though there are some scary parts, the development of them is more eerie and not terrifying which I really appreciate. The unfolding of how the bride deaths occurred are well written and fit with the era that they occurred.
The reader will be kept on their toes between the various ghosts, an evil witch, and the time travel to view the deaths or relevant events.
The biggest impact of this book to me was not something the author could have planned. As the story unfolded, I observed the friendships between these friends and the various ghosts, and I felt the need for community. A wider community than I currently have. It wasn’t the feeling of loneliness, but the feeling of what life could be like when you trusted people and let them in to share in your trials and tribulations and allowed them to be your support system. I thought to myself what if I was braver like these for people. Imagine the possibilities.
Because this audio book had such a huge impact on me, it gets 5 STARS. Let me know what you think of this book.

I started this book and then realized there was a first one so I had to stop and listen to the first book first and then went back to this one but WOAH! Amazing!!! I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait for the third one! The storyline held me in. I had a hard time putting it down. There is just enough horror/ghostly stuff, just enough humor, just enough everything. I was eager to listen to what happens next! How is she going to find the rings to break the curse??? Oh, I can't wait!!! You definitely want to read this trilogy.

Picking up right where The Inheritance left off, the mystery of the lost bride continues.
The quest to find the 7 rings is still in play. We see more of the romance and relationships in this book compared to book 1. I loved the continued spooky, haunted scenes as the team navigated unlocking more of the family history and history of the mansion.
Audiobook was excellent with the queen Brittany Pressley.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan audio for the ALC in exchange for an honest review. Release date 11/19.

A 200 year old witch to a mirror where time came and went. The glass opens the doors to what was. After Sonya inherits a huge Victorian mansion, she has no idea the house is haunted.Loved this book, the plot was very well thought out and characters are well written and developed. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I really liked this book. I think I liked this one even more than the first one. The characters are well-developed, they are relatable and the plot is really engaging there is so many twist. I loved how the author write this book, it was a really good read.

Nora Roberts does it AGAIN! This has to be one of my favorites of hers. I LOVED IT.
Brittany Pressley did a great job with the narration. She brings enthusiasm and energy that is needed for this kind of reading. It was brilliant.
This book is part of a trilogy and really, as much as I want to say it can be read as a stand alone, it can't. A reader would miss out on so, so much if they didn't read the first book. It has romance, love, ghosts, villains, friendship, and all the qualities of a good, solid novel. The characters are so well thought of and well written. The plot and storyline so well executed. I love everything about this trilogy, right down to the pets names and the rude exes.

The Mirror is the second book in Nora Robert’s Lost Bride Trilogy. I have been looking forward to this book since the end of the first one, Inheritance. Thanks to NetGalley, St. Matin’s Press and Macmillan Audio for the advanced copies in exchange for a honest review. I was lucky enough to receive this book in both ebook and eaudio which enhanced my reader experience. For the review, I listened to the audio and then used the ebook to follow along and to refer to. I found this the easiest because there are a lot of characters and genealogy, so it was nice to be able to refer to the print version to set things in my mind.
This book starts off right where the last one ended on a cliffhanger. I was pulled into the story right from the start. I was excited to learn more about Sonya’s ancestors and the backstory of the lost brides. I like that they started filling in some of the holes of the lost brides. The pacing was a little slow for my taste, with the day to day work and living stuff and party planning. I didn’t feel like this book moved the overall storyline ahead as much as I would have liked.
I enjoyed the narrator for the audiobook., Brittany Pressley. I thought I recognized her voice and found that she had also narrated a few of the David Baldacci audiobooks I have listened to.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the conclusion of the trilogy.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with the opportunity to listen to the second book in The Lost Bride Trilogy. After reading The Inheritance, I immediately rushed to pre-order The Mirror! I was NOT left disappointed after the ending of The Mirror. The story continued to develop and keep me on the edge of my seat. I love the way that Roberts has created a little family of four plus the pets. It makes you feel the connection and the bond they all have together when trying to solve the mystery and attempt to rid the manor of Dobbs. I cannot wait for the third and final book to release. It's going to be a long and hard wait...but will be worth it. I have no doubt!

The Mirror is the second book in "The Lost Bride Trilogy" and is just as good, if not better than the first. Sonya MacTavish has inherited a Victorian mansion from her fathers family on the coast in Maine. She soon realizes that the house is haunted by some fun quirky people and one not so fun person. The cast of characters are engaging and well developed. While solving the mystery of the house and trying to break a centuries old curse, she has help along the way from great friends and new family members and a new romance is blossoming.
I listened to the audiobook and it was very well done. The narration helps the story in so many ways. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I received an advance copy from #Netgalley

This is book 2 of the Lost Brides trilogy, and I was waiting eagerly for this and it didn’t disappoint. I read this as an audiobook and the narration was excellent.
The book picks up where it left off, and while we didn’t get too much further in the saga of the lost brides, this book kept me entertained. There was a lot going on with the characters and I enjoyed that as much as the story surrounding the brides. I also think it’s really cool they live in a haunted house and just accept the weirdness. Random music plays. Oh that? Yeah that’s what she does.
And now that I’m done this book, I have to wait for book 3. I’m hoping that’s not too long a wait. They’ve got more portraits to find and a nasty ghost to take care of. I’m really looking forward to the finale.
I received this audiobook as a free ARC and am leaving this review voluntarily.

When Sonya MacTavish inherits a sprawling Victorian mansion on the coast of Maine, she has no idea it’s haunted. Strange things start happening—footsteps echoing at night, doors slamming shut, and music playing from nowhere. Soon, Sonya begins having vivid dreams about the past, and she stumbles upon portraits of brides throughout the house. Her visions often feature an antique mirror, and she senses it holds dark family secrets.
One night, the mirror materializes, pulling Sonya through it and into the past, where she witnesses a bride being murdered on her wedding day, her gold ring torn away. This tragic event seems to repeat endlessly, part of an ancient curse that Sonya must unravel if there's any hope of breaking it.
Sonya and Cloe are thriving, even with most of the ghosts in their house, and are truly enjoying their new lives in Maine. Their bond with each other grows stronger, as do their relationships with their men. A large part of this book focused on planning an extravagant housewarming party, which seemed to cost tens of thousands, but Nora's writing and plot pulled me in and made me forget about the realities of it all. While this book has a bit of middle-book syndrome, the flashbacks were a highlight, allowing me to learn more about the brides and understand why Sonya and Cloe choose to stay. I’m eagerly anticipating the conclusion to this series!
I’d like to thank St. Martin's Press, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for providing the e-ARC for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series. This one did not disappoint. It continued the story right where it left off. We are getting deeper into the mystery of the house (and breaking the curse) and Sonya's ancestors. I love that the more she and her friends learn the more determined they are to remove the witch from the house. It is a bit creepy when Sonya feels the pull of the mirror. Nora Roberts does a phenomenal job of writing humor, intrigue, a little spooky and mystery all in one wonderful book. The ghosts in the house are one of the best parts of the story. Clover and her music playing is pure genius.. She's stolen the show.
The romance between Sonya and Trey is starting to heat up. We've added a little romance for Cleo in this book. The animals in the story are so much fun and a great addition.. This book was a bit slower in pace than the first one. It did focus a lot on the mundane every day life between Sonya and her roommate, Cleo. That was probably my only complaint. That and the fact that I have to wait forever for the next book.
Brittany Pressley is one of my absolute favorite narrators. She does an excellent job of bringing this book to life. I can't imagine anyone else narrating the character of Sonya other than Brittany. Huge thanks to Macmillan audio for allowing me to listen and review this book.

I kept asking my mom -a big Nora reader- if she’d read the first in this series and she kept reminding me that she didn’t want to start until all three are released, which is smart because this (book 2 of 3) didn’t really progress a ton with the curse. There’s character development. Romance. The introduction of new pets. Lots of work done on the house, which I enjoy picturing. But overall, it was kind of a repetitive bore with the background of all the bride deaths in the manor over the years, and they were honestly a little too graphic and grossed me out. I also find the relationships a bit too obvious and easy, which is saying a lot cause I’m a big cozy book girl.
Obviously I’ll still listen to the 3rd one, cause I have to know what happens and I don’t “dislike” the story, but it could have been one book - almost feels like a cash grab to drag the whole thing out in a trilogy.
I don’t always love the narrator, either. The accents seem over the top, but if I wasn’t listening,
I probably would have taken even longer to finish, knowing nothing would probably happen till book 3. Ha. 3.5 rounded down for boredom.

The Mirror is the 2nd book in a trilogy. This is a slow building book, but one I really enjoyed. Sonya and Cleo's friendship and family dynamics were explored in this book. We are introduced to the community, their families, and their love interest grew. As Sonya and Cleo learned more about the spirits drealing in the manor, you see how Sonya and Cleo lean and support each other and what their friendship truly means to each character. It is a great read about friendship and family.
This book is more about the daily life of those in the manor, projects, events, and of course, the curse of the manor. The story continues about the Lost Brides and the growing threat of the witch. It was a slower paced book, but one that I enjoyed and loved the connections between past and present. There were some very touching moments involving mothers and children.
If you are expecting fast pace romance, scary ghost scenes in every other scene, or nerve racking drama, this is not a read for you. Instead, this book delivers on how families are created by both blood and those you pick. It takes you on a journey involving a loving, supporting, and encouraging family. A family you wish you were part of. It resolves a few issues that The Inheritance touches on. Including the building of Sonua business, the feelings and issues regarding the death of Sonya's grandmother and Clover's twins. Last, the book touches on how the curse was formed, how and why the twins were separated, and ideas on how to break the curse.
Thanks to the publisher for providing this audiobook for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

So. Much. Drama. This is over the top with dramatic responses. Sad visions over and over, telling the other characters about it over and over. Tears, trembling, resolve to "fight" this Hester ghost. Over and over. After the first dozen visions you'd think these characters would be desensitized and cool it with the theatrics. Nope. Clover's musical contributions are overkill--everything feels like overkill. The narrator does a fine job but just too much vocal tremor in the delivery. I am, and remain, a devoted fan of Roberts but this is not her best work. Thank you to NetGalley for an audio ARC.

This book was amazing from start to finish. It blended nicely from the first book into the Mirror book just perfectly. I loved the various characters, the setting, the mysteries house, especially love the ghost interactions with the living. I truly can't wait to get my hands on the third book. This is a must read trilogy that I will suggest to all.

3.5 🌟
Thank you Net Galley for the audiobook arc! 3.5 stars, rounded up. After reading the first book I was so excited to read the second installment. The first book in the trilogy was set at a good pace and kept me interested throughout. The second book seemed much slower in pace, focusing on details I didn't feel were needed to progress the story. Since I was hooked on the characters already I found it easier to pick up than other books written at this pace. I wish some of the details were not included, or that more happened in book 2. Seemed mostly like a filler book before the final installment. I still enjoyed the characters, setting, and can't wait to finish the trilogy!
