I can’t wait to bust out this cookbook this summer. Fun and interesting recipes. Definitely a unique cookbook and would make a great Father’s Day gift!

Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the world. But homemade pizza rarely hits the crispy-chewy-charred trifecta—and that’s because many of us don’t own a wood-burning oven. By employing one brilliant, simple trick—cooking pizzas on a wooden plank—you can transform your gas or charcoal grill into an appliance that rivals any pizza oven.
OK I'll be honest, I was totally intimidated by this book when I first looked at it. I'm a bit wary around cooking with fire (thanks, Girl Guides) but I'm getting a little braver in my old age! There are some very interesting pizza topping and sauce combinations in the book, even if that's all you get from it.
There's recipes not just for dough, but red, white, and also green pizza sauces, which give great combination ideas.
Quite a few familiar and popular pizzas, like Margherita, butter chicken, mushroom, and sausage, fit in with sloppy Joe, Korean pulled pork, dill pickle, elote, and even strawberry! There are quite a few photographs, but I'd like more, considering how unusual some of the topping combinations are.
A really solid and interesting cookbook!
I received a free ebook copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

Oh what is not to love about this book! For me, the pizza obsessed person this book is amazing. There are so many recipes in here that look so good. So many pizza varieties I had never even thought of. The book has many beautiful images as well. The recipes are nicely laid out and easy to understand with ingredients that I can easily find in my local stores. I like that they also go into some of the details about making and cooking pizzas and not just the recipes. This is a great book for any pizza lover!

Featuring mouth-watering recipes, Pizza on a Plank is a visually stunning cookbook. Before even discussing pizza, the book discusses types of planks, soaking planks, and preheating planks. There is also information about prepping the plank using a variety of methods. The process of making plank pizza can be broken down into four main steps. Before adding toppings, sprinkle the plank with cornmeal and roll out the dough. Next, stretch the dough, prick it, and add your toppings. There are fourteen tips in the book for making the best plank pizza. The book covers a wide range of doughs and sauces. Easy-to-follow pizza recipes and full-color photographs that make you want to pick them right off the pages.

This cookbook features very easy recipes. I highly recommend it; it's worth buying. If you love to cook, this book is for you. The recipes are simple to make

Pizza on a Plank isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think of making pizza, but this cookbook completely surprised me. While I haven’t had the chance to grill a pizza on a wooden plank yet, I did try the Neapolitan pizza dough recipe—and wow, it turned out amazing! It’s officially my go-to dough now.
The recipes are incredibly easy to follow, and the book is packed with creative topping ideas that take homemade pizza to the next level. If you love pizza, this book is a must-have. Highly recommend!

I have been trying to perfect my pizza making techniques, and I think this book will really help with that. I love the idea of using wood planks to impart the woodsmoke flavor of high end pizza places, and I’m willing to try it. But beyond that, the recipes and ideas for toppings look really great. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The recipes all look delicious and I cannot wait to try some of these in my own backyard. Summertime can't come fast enough!

've been searching for a good pizza crust recipe for ages - and this book includes 8! As a newcomer to plank grilling, I appreciated the intro to planking and the different types of wood that can be used.
But I'm most excited about the recipes! I absolutely cannot wait to try Spanikopita Pizza with Garlic Cream Sauce, Mushroom and Fontina Pizza, also with Garlic Cream Sauce, and Chicken, Artichoke and Sun-Dried Tomato Pizza with Pesto Sauce.
Thank you to Workman Publishing and NetGalley for the review copy of this delightful cookbook!
