This book was such a fun time totally ridiculous in the best way. It’s spooky, steamy, and hilarious, with that perfect balance of paranormal chaos and romance. The humor had me laughing out loud more than once, and the chemistry between the main characters was genuinely great. It leans into the campy side of vampire romance, which I loved, but still manages to hit some surprisingly sweet emotional beats, too. My only little critique is that the pacing wobbled a bit in the middle, a few scenes felt like filler, but the vibe stayed fun enough to keep me going. If you want something funny, flirty, and full of supernatural sass, this one totally delivers.

Okay so this book was written for a girl like me. It's been a while since I read a vampire story and this one was so much fun! I loved that the characters had a deeper story behind them and were not just to simple characters that found each other. It was an adictive story, I loved the girls in the bookclub and honestly all the characters were lovable.
That said, there's a couple of things that I didn't enjoy as much. It was beautifully written but I didn't enjoy that his life story was just told and not shown, it was kind of boring to read.
Love the smut, don't get me wrong, but I didn't like that everything was fixed with sex. Like for exaple the pool scene. It would have been a beautiful scene of him teaching her how to swim.
As I said before, I loved the characters BUT there where A LOT of them, and sometimes I didn't know who they where talking about. Also, if you haven't read the previous books by the author (like me) you miss a lot of lore and back story from many of the characters.
Still, as I said, I really enjoyed this book, it was entertaining and fun and adictive.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-arc.

This is the first time I’ve read anything from this author and I’m instantly in love with how they write!!
It’s officially fall so I need all of the best spooky, cozy, and fun books that I can get. This was definitely a book to read when you miss the autumn and Halloweeny times

This book had me laughing out loud so many times, I’m pretty sure my neighbors think I’ve lost it. The characters are delightfully quirky, and the plot twists hit like a pie in the face—unexpected but oh-so-satisfying. It’s like a comedy show and a page-turner had a hilarious love child. If you want a read that’s as smart as it is silly, this one’s a total winner.

Fangs for Nothing by Steffanie Holmes is such a fun and heartwarming paranormal romance! It’s a perfect mix of humor, enemies-to-lovers vibes, vampires, and those quirky supernatural elements that make the story really entertaining.
One of my favorite parts about the book is how authentic and well-developed the characters are—you really feel like you can relate to them. The balance between the main characters and the side characters is so well done; everyone gets their moment to shine without taking over the spotlight. And the banter? Witty and sharp, with some zingers that will totally make you smile and laugh out loud.
There’s definitely a lot of heart in this book. It’s not the most serious read, but it’s super enjoyable— kind of like a guilty pleasure or a pick-me-up. Perfect for when you need a fun palate cleanser from heavier fantasy or romantasy reads.
I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!

Fangs for Nothing was such a fun, addictive surprise—I flew through it and enjoyed every snark-filled, supernatural moment. Stephanie Holmes blends humor, mystery, and romance in a way that feels fresh and effortlessly engaging. I went in expecting a quirky paranormal romp, and what I got was that and a cast of characters I genuinely cared about.
The protagonist is witty and endearingly chaotic, and I loved how unapologetically herself she was. Her voice carried the story with ease, and the dynamic between her and the vampire love interest was packed with tension, banter, and chemistry. Their relationship leans into the enemies-to-lovers trope in a way that feels familiar but still delivers plenty of originality—and some seriously swoony moments.
The mystery at the heart of the plot was also a pleasant surprise. It kept me guessing without ever slowing the pace, and Holmes did a great job weaving in world-building without overwhelming the reader. The supernatural elements were just the right mix of playful and intriguing, and I’m already invested in what’s to come next in this world.
If you love stories that don’t take themselves too seriously but still deliver in plot, romance, and character growth, Fangs for Nothing is a must-read. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the next installment.

Do you want a book that entertains you , leaves you laughing out loud , leaves you
rooting for a stuck in the mud vampire escapes his mothers machinations , hoping
the human he has employed to help reorganise his life starts to see him in a different
light ? ........... then this book is for you .
Hugely enjoyable , so much so that I am looking to read more from this Author
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

(2.5⭐️) honestly despite my rating (lmao) this was quite a fun read. It’s totally just one of those ones where you have to just switch off your brain and don’t think too hard…go with the ✨vibes✨ as I did enjoy the banter, and Winnie and Alaric together.
BUT that being said I can no longer remember half the named characters the book club - honestly were all interchange to me and any time a real world thing was mentioned I died inside. I love sleep token but I don’t need them mentioned in my whimsical smutty vampire romance book!
So:
PROS
- Alaric was a vibe
- having hoarding depicted and showing how its affects families have NEVER seen this in a book before so really appreciated
- the couple were cute together
- touch her and die vibes
CONS
- pop culture SO MUCH of it
- read like a 2000s ff.net story
- FMC being totally okay with a random man kissing her (because he is hot) to save her from the horrible ugly man. And MMC thinking this was a thing that should happen
Enjoyed it for what it was but probably won’t be rushing to pick up others in the series - sorry!

Fangs for Nothing is a hilarious and heartwarming paranormal romance that has a perfect blend of humour, romance, and just the right amount of supernatural weirdness. Steffanie Holmes does an amazing job balancing laugh out loud moments with genuine character growth, and I couldn’t get enough of it.
The story follows Zoey, a sassy no nonsense woman who finds herself in a sticky situation when she’s unexpectedly thrust into the world of vampires. There she meets the brooding (yet totally charming) vampire, Nathaniel. They have a classic enemies to lovers vibe, with Zoey being a bit sceptical of the whole supernatural world, while Nathaniel is a little too caught up in it. The chemistry between them is electric, and their banter will keep you smiling from start to finish.
What really sets this book apart is the humour. It’s witty and sharp, and Holmes does a fantastic job making Zoey feel like a real relatable character who isn’t afraid to speak her mind (even when it might get her into trouble). There’s also a great mix of quirky side characters that add to the fun without stealing the spotlight.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper vampire romance without some spicy moments, and Fangs for Nothing delivers on that front as well. But beyond the steam, there’s a lot of heart; whether it’s Zoey learning to trust her instincts or Nathaniel grappling with his past.

This is a cute read for vampire fans. This is book 1 in the Nevermore Murrderr Club and Smutty Book Coven. Lord Alaric Valerian has a problem. His mother is visiting his castle for the first time, but she doesn’t know that Alaric has filled every room with his centuries of artistic passions and creative pursuits.
Desperate, he hires professional organiser Winnie Preston to help him tame the mess. But Alaric isn’t prepared for bubbly, passionate Winnie to show up at his castle and ram a metaphorical stake through his cold, vampire heart. Winnie sets his fangs on edge, but the more closely he works with her, the more he wishes she could be his.
So when Alaric’s mother arrives with a new bride-to-be in tow, Alaric convinces Winnie to pretend to be his fiance. He may be causing all kinds of scandal in the vampire court by being engaged to a human, but at least he doesn’t have to give up his reclusive life.
But Winnie still doesn’t know Alaric’s a vampire, and Alaric didn’t count on Winnie’s meddling book club pinning him for a mysterious murder in the village. Will their maybe-not-so-fake-marriage survive once Winnie discovers the monster that lurks beneath his fangs?

This is a must-read book I don't want to give any spoilers, but you won't regret getting this book, you won't put it down till you're done reading the whole this.

I really had high expectations for this book because the blurb was so reminiscent of my all time favorite series, Harry Potter, only that we are dealing with angels and demons here instead of wizards and witches. In the same vein as those books with hero of destiny theme, Fallen Academy follows the story of Brielle Atwater who did not know that she’s the prophesized Messiah who will end or worsen the war between the angels and demons. I will not bore you with the intricacies of what Fallen Academy is all about as the blurb is pretty clear where the story is going.
So why am I giving this book a 3 star when most of the Harry Potter books yielded a 5 star from me? Well, the book just did not resonate with me. Don’t get me wrong, I love Angel vs. Demon stories; as as a matter of fact, Susan Ee’s Angelfall is an all time fave series, too, and the sole reason why I got hooked with Angel stories. Fallen Academy, however, was just a so so for me. Nothing hit the right spot for me. I find the relationship between Lincoln and Brielle forced and too fast-paced, Brielle and the other characters’ development shallow, the plot very unsurprising and averagely (not poorly) executed, and the world building okay. To sum it up, nothing had awed me while reading Fallen Academy Year One.
Since this is the first installment of the series, I expected that there is an elaborate explanation about our Angels and Demons and how the war came to be. I get that most angel and demon stories are inspired from the Bible, I would have expected that the author took the time to put a new spin on a beloved and extremely familiar story. Unfortunately, the book was more focused with Brielle’s feelings for her handsome teacher, Lincoln.
This book has so much potential particularly that the setting, academia, is something that I really love. There are a lot of things to explore and expound on but the romance became the focus of this book. If the romance had been beautifully executed, I would have declared that it’s a win for the book. Unfortunately, the romance also did not do it for me. So what I’m saying is, read this book at your own risk. It might or might not work for you. I enjoyed it at some point but forgot about it most of the time that’s why it took me a long time to read it. Will I read the next installment? Well, that would depend on my patient and my schedule so nothing certain as of this time yet.

I Loved this book! It was funny and emotional. It had romance, murder, mystery. A Vampire who falls in love with the human he hires to declutter his castle. She falls in love with him. And the book club who talks everything but books. I can’t wait for the next book!

his book weaves romance and magic together so seamlessly, it feels like a spell of its own. The love story is as enchanting as the world it unfolds in—full of longing, destiny, and the kind of tension that keeps you breathless. By the final page, you won’t know whether you want to stay for the love or the magic—but either way, you won’t want to leave.

Let me preface this by saying that the romance was really good. I love a good, tension-filled romance. Add a supernatural flare? Fantastic. I’m a fated mates touch-her-and-die kinda girl. However, as spicy as this book had a tendency to be, it felt really long and rambling. It also had a lot of secondary characters with extensive back stories that were leaned into a little too hard and were obviously in previous books. Theu also weren’t hard to understand, accept, and move on to the current subject of the book, but there were moments that made me say “yeah, we get it!” where I just wished the author would Move. ON. The friendships and relationships ans world building were still good, I just think it could have been made a lot shorter and be just as good if not better.
THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND BACCHANALIA HOUSE FOR THE ADVANCED COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR A FAIR REVIEW!

Fangs for Nothing is a lighthearted paranormal mystery with a fun premise and plenty of humor. The quirky characters and witty dialogue make for an entertaining read, but the plot can feel a bit scattered, and some moments lack depth. While it’s an enjoyable escape, it doesn’t fully sink its teeth in. A decent read for fans of cozy supernatural stories, but not the most memorable in the genre.

This was a cute paranormal romance with characters that popped off the page. I was literally kicking and screaming and the story was SO good.

This was overall a pretty fun read! I think the balance between silly, lightheartedness while tackling heavier topics such as trauma was done really well. My biggest complaint would be that the pacing felt off at times and it felt (ironically) cluttered at times, and I feel like the story would’ve been strengthened by having a little bit less.
Thank you Bacchanalia House and NetGalley for the eARC! ❤️

5 stars = Outstanding!
This was a delightful surprise! I can't remember the last time I was so caught up in a book I blew off everything else to read it. I don't generally go for vampire books - and this is spicier than I usually read. But I was completely caught up by the characters and the whole story. As soon as I finished, I bought my own copy and pre-ordered the sequel. Fantastic! (Language, sex)
