The Errant Gift by Rhys Price was an ARC I received. It’s like Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets The Predator. Should have known something was up with the silver liquid jumped on ol girl. 

What I appreciated most was that, as readers, we are not overwhelmed with flashbacks. The historical telling of events that led to the “present” day was done without overdoing the explanation while maintaining a straightforward plot without getting lost in the multiple timelines. 

Funny enough, I was not expecting one main character to turn out to be our potential heroine.  I think I overlooked that possible development somewhere along the way. Now I am curious to see what will happen with our guy, Fin. 

I do want to know more behind the meaning of the “take over”.
