This was so much fun!! I loved the hallmark movie vibe. Loved the family secret and just the whole feeling of Kate’s writing. I cant wait to read the “first one” and Im just waiting for XMas 25 to do so!

Lost interest.

This was a fun holiday read that can be read as a stand-alone. It's the kind of book perfect for Christmas season that makes you want to grab a blanket and cozy up with a warm drink. It was filled with charm, warmth and all the feels of holiday magic. It was giving Hallmark Christmas mystery vibes. I did enjoy the dynamic of Juliet and Wills relationship but would've liked to see a little more depth. With secrets to uncover and this whole idea of a hidden magical Christmas village element of the story kept me intrigued and interested. I do feel like the story could've been wrapped up a little tighter so my brain didn't have unresolved questions but all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Very cozy Christmas read!! It has everything that you want in a sweet holiday story that is perfect for a nioght holding hot cocoa by the fireplace while the tv is playing a parade or something festive!

Loved this book from the start and could not put it down. Getting lost in the magical world of Christmas and Yule kept me hooked until i finished the whole book

It was an easy, cute and sweet read. It was the first time that I read a book of this author, and to be honest I quite liked it. I even read the first book to understand better and to be immersed in the world building. I loved the story around the village, the plot was interesting as well and I love a forbidden love story-trope.

I preferred the first one, maybe because it was the first one but I could reread it for sure..


It is a book that I enjoyed especially approaching Christmas.

Juliet and Will meet after a Christmas party and have a steamy “one-night” fling. Juliet quickly finds out that Will is not all that he seems, her family background is shrouded in mystery, and there is a lot more magic in the world than she thinks.

If you are looking for a cute, holiday romantasy that has all the tinsel and icing of a Hallmark movie, the story is for you. Each Village of Yule stand-alone contains a magical HEA.

Cute book. Love a Christmas based story. Thoroughly enjoyed. I have enjoyed all books I’ve read by Kate Callaghan and this one didn’t disappoint.

One day, shortly before Christmas, the heroine receives a chest from her late grandmother. She discovers that her mother lives in a magical Christmas village and is waiting for her there. Along the way, she meets Will, who falls in love with her and helps her uncover the secrets of her family’s past.
This book is so atmospheric! The magical village was described so well – mountains, snow, reindeer, sledding. The characters even take part in a snowman-building contest. I would like to live there myself!❄
Reading this felt like stepping into an adult fairy tale, and I honestly think this story would make a wonderful Christmas movie.
I liked the characters, their relationships and jokes, although I sometimes wished the plot would move a bit faster. It was funny how Juliet kept running away from Will, and he kept searching for her🤭 I felt sorry for Juliet when reading about her childhood, and I’d love to know more about her relationship with her father in the future. Maybe we’ll get more on that in the next book. I hope it will be about Margo and Harvey.
