This was the perfect read for a wet Sunday afternoon.

After loving the Backup Princess I couldn’t wait to read Sofia’s story.

Princess Sofia needs a husband! Enzo ticks all of the boxes. But what should work on paper doesn’t work in real life. Enter Marco, his younger brother.

This is such a sweet rom-com. If you love reverse grumpy sunshine, cinnamon roll MMC and forced proximity this is for you

If you love The Princess Diaries you will love this series. So pleased Amelia and Max will be getting their stories too.

Marco is not the man Princess Sofia thought she'd meet at he husband hunting ball, but is he the one she wants? A fun read, and I liked how it was told from both points of view. Looking forward to the next books in this series.

I enjoyed this follow-up to The Backup Princess, which was about Prince Alex falling for Princess Maddie of Malveaux. This time, oldest royal sister Sofia (Alex's sister) has decided, as she approaches her 28th birthday, to follow the family tradition of having her parents make an arranged marriage for her... except this time, she's going to get them to throw a ball for her with all of the eligible men in the (very small) country attending. She's the oldest but because of the males inheriting the throne, and Alex moving to Malveaux, her youngest brother will become king.

Sofia is extremely organized and has created a spreadsheet with every quality she's looking for, and has actually narrowed the huge list of attending candidates down to only one she is actually intending to meet and offer her interest to, the boring Enzo Revera. Enzo attends the ball with his world wandering and basically ADHD brother Marco as his assistant, in an ill-fitting suit and dirt under his nails. When Marco accidentally is the first to meet Princess Sofia with an old school friend who instantly proposes and calls him "Duck"... she's quite smitten!

This is a whirlwind story of a romance that isn't supposed to be happening based on a traditional romance that was on paper super appropriate, yet no spark and the brother that threw a wrench into all of the carefully laid plans. Sofia and Marco scrambling around the kingdom trying to chase down clues to solve a riddle that is presented to them - this book is just plain fun.

I had a blast reading this one and as with all of the other Kate O'Keeffe ComRoms I've read before, I highly recommend it! I read it straight through in a single sitting because I couldn't stop. It was so entertaining! Her writing style is fantastic and the storyline was so engrossing. I can't wait for more stories about this royal family!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Wild Lime Books, and this is my honest feedback.

This is the 2nd book in the series, and I hadn't read the first one, but that just speaks to the fact they can be read independently. Sweet romance with great characters and plot. Dual POV and some of our favorite tropes: grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, opposites attract. The writing is top-notch and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author! It is a solid 4-star read! *I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author/publishing company in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Royally Matched by Kate O’Keeffe

I got opportunity to get this book as ACR copy via NetGalley. I’m so grateful for that.

And here’s my thoughts:
My expectations high with this book and I enjoyed to read this book. The meet cute for the coulple was great, like cheese great! Chemistry of the main characters were sparkling throughout the book and I loved that!
Revisits of the other royal siblings (and OMG, even their parents!), and their meddling for others life were just so fun.
Only thing I missed this book was depth of characters developed, specially for the MFC. It was clear that it happened but still, it was passed in the writing.

My favorite quote of the book (I think its book advise for all of us)
”Your future will come soon enough, my dear girl. Cherish the present while it’s here. It’s a gift to us all.”

Overall its fun, light and as ENL speaker is fast to read too. Definitely recommending this one!
I also read first book of the series and loved it! I’ve own post about it in my feed! And OFC and can’t wait to next books to come.

4/5

Royally Matched
By: Kate O’Keeffe

This was a cute romcom romance. Minimal spice, but romantic at the same time. It had arranged marriage, falling in love with his brother, classic one bed tropes.

When the princess tries to rationalize every aspect of her life, including her future husband by selecting him off of her spreadsheet data, life throws one back at her. It just so happens to come in the shape of his brother.

What looks perfect on paper is not always what the heart wants. This book had me picturing me there doing the Macarena with them.

I give this book three stars. I would recommend it to everyone who loves the classic hallmark vibes.

Royally Matched is a sweet, fun, endearing, closed-door romance.

Sofia is looking for the perfect match, but after having her heart broken in the past, she relies on a spreadsheet to find him. Logic and reason seem like a much safer alternative than feelings and emotions.

Enzo checks all the boxes, but she feels no connection with him. When she meets his brother Marco, there is an instant spark between them, but she is certain that he is all wrong for her and will ultimately break her heart.

When Sofia and Marco are thrown together by royal duties and embark on a quest together, the attraction gets stronger, Sofia will need to decide if she’s going to follow her head or her heart.

Kate O’Keeffe has done it again with this wonderful royal rom-com, it can be read as a standalone, but I’d suggest reading the first book in the series to meet the royal family and the small kingdom of Ledonia. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the advance copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

I read this as an ARC on NetGalley. This is the 2nd book in the series and I had been waiting for it! I am a sucker for a happy ending, but throw in princesses and a castle and I am a goner! This book is about a sense of duty and finding love and happily ever after in an unlikely place and also being able to fulfill your destiny.

I love this author and absolutely adored the first book in this series. It was another royal romcom, this time following Max's sister Sophia. I loved Sophia and Marco's romance - it was relatable and made me chuckle many times. I love Kate's novels because they are 'clean sweet romances' which is perfect for a lighthearted read. Looking forward to the next book in this series, which will follow Amelia's story!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

This second installment is as good as the first one :)

Sofia and Marco are perfect for each other from the very beginning but Sofia is stubbornly decided to marry Enzo (the wise choise) that she pushes away Marco as much as she can. But sometimes you just can't deny chemistry...

The sceneries are great, the love story is genuine and so sweet, the story full of twists and turns.

I can't wait to read the stories of the other siblings of the royal family of Ledonia.

Thank you to Netgalley and kate O'Keeffe for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

This was a witty romance and an easy summer read. I enjoyed the characters and the forbidden romance vibes. Sofia realized her spreadsheet, with a list of suitors, may look great on paper but not for her heart.

Enter Enzo and Marco and Sofia will have to determine whether her heart or her spreadsheet will win in the end. Her decision was pushed along by some mysterious persons as well which was a nice addition to the storyline.

Kate O'Keeffe has written another hilariously, witty, and charming royal romcom. I enjoyed The Backup Princess, tremendously and was excited to be able to follow the story of Max's sister Sophia this time!

Sophia is a princess who is used to following the rules to a tea. While Marco is an easy going landscape designer. On paper, they don't seem like they'll mix, but as the saying goes, opposites attract.

I enjoyed watching Sophia and Marco's romance play out and seeing Sophia develop into a strong, independent princess. The fun moments in between, such as the hunt for an ancient school, and trip to the mountain village of Mountluce, added in the perfect amount of tension and comic relief to the story line.

Can't wait to read the next book in the series, which will be Amelia's story!

4/5 Stars.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Wild Lime Books for letting me enjoy an ARC copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Princess Sofia, determined to find a suitor, attends a royal ball with her focus on Lord Strozzi. However, her plans are derailed when a drunken man proposes to her, and she is saved by another guest, whom she nicknames "Duck." Despite being charmed by Duck, Sofia continues her pursuit of Strozzi.

Meanwhile, Marco, attending the ball reluctantly at the insistence of his brother Enzo, is unexpectedly captivated by Sofia's beauty. As Enzo’s assistant, Marco disapproves of his brother's potential engagement to Sofia, even as he gets to know her better. It isn't long before Sofia discovers that the man she calls Duck is actually Marco. Though he may not always make the best impression, Marco’s sincerity and genuine nature win Sofia over.

This charming romance features royal intrigue, lighthearted moments, and humorous encounters, including a subplot involving mischievous dogs. The story's unexpected twists and lovable characters make for an engaging and delightful royal adventure.

This read like a Princess Diaries 2 fanfiction, so if you liked that movie, you'll probably enjoy this book. It was a fun, fast, easy read, but the FMC's choices with her love life had me face-palming and wanting to yell at her (girl, if he doesn't like dogs THAT'S A RED FLAG). I loved the royal family as a whole, the siblings' relationships and interactions with each other felt very real and it makes me excited for the future books for Amelia and Max. Thanks Netgalley for the e-arc!

Principetta. I personally think the term is one of THE most romantic endearments.... Ever. The first time Marco calls Sofia his Principetta, I felt it down through my toes! How Sofia doesn't throw herself into his arms, climb him like a tree, and kiss his face off is shocking! I would live to see a draft of Sofia's spreadsheet for finding a husband. It's referred to often enough that my curiosity is piqued and I want to peruse it!

I received an ARC of ROYALLY MATCHED. I have not been paid for my review.

"Royally Matched" by Kate O’Keeffe is an adorable and enjoyable read. While I didn’t find it as captivating as the first book in the series, it still offers a delightful, low-stakes royal rom-com experience.

I connected with the female protagonist, Sofia; she felt relatable, and I appreciated her journey of self-discovery and understanding her actual needs. After a heartbreak, Sofia believes that an arranged marriage will safeguard her heart. However, when she finds Mr. Right on paper, it turns out that his brother might be her ideal match. I enjoyed how the story was structured, and the author did an excellent job keeping the reader engaged. The scavenger hunt element added a charming twist, and the "one-bed" trope is always a hit. The characters are delightful, the plot is entertaining, and the romance is sweet and swoon-worthy.

Thank you to Kate O‘Keeffe, Wild Lime Books, and NetGalley for the ARC! "Royally Matched" will be available on September 26, 2024.

Cam be read as a standalone but the characters overlap. She's been burned before so has decided to choose a husband using logic NOT her heart. She finds a guy that's perfect, on paper. What happens when her heart picks his brother whose all wrong... on paper. She's the oldest princess and he's a landscaper!! What does her family think of her choice?
Who does she end up with? Be careful, there's some major twist and conniving throughout the book.

I received a copy of this book from the author. Review voluntarily given.

Overall I enjoyed this novel. I will admit the first 1/3 of the novel was slow to start.

It took a bit to get a feel for Sofia, but that is just her character. She is closing her heart up from love and agreeing to an arranged marriage. Except she didn’t plan to fall for her prospects handsome brother. Marco was adorable and easy to fall for as a character. He was chivalrous from the start.

This was a cute, lighthearted novel perfect for anyone who enjoyed The Princess Diaries.
