Catherine does it again. And honestly it shouldn’t surprise me! She is by far one of my favorite romantic suspense authors and this book just continued to prove it to me. I’m a true crime girly so I knew going in I would love this.

Catherine has a way of writing characters and stories that just entrap me from the very first page. The backstories, their current lives, and the people surrounding them. She makes you love them all.

Ridley & Colt were just pure magic together. I loved Ridley so much. For everything that she’s been through and the person it made her. She chose joy. She was feisty, tenacious, and had so much empathy for those around her. She was quite truly a ray of sunshine. Colt was honestly quite the opposite at first (towards Ridley at least). He was grumpy, and put his foot in his mouth quite a few times. But as all of Catherine’s men do. He quite literally folded when he got to know Ridley. And their relationship was everything. Their banter and tension was so good! And the chemistry was perfection. 😍

And of course Catherine writes the most amazing side characters that you can’t help but want more of as well!

And once again, when I had everything figured out. I realized pretty quickly how wrong I was. Haha

Good Lord, this book was good! Such an easy 5-STARS to give out. ALL THE MISSING PIECES has all the best things...

Enemies To Lovers
Small Town antics
Grief & Healing
Badass heroine
Cinnamon Roll hero
Great suspense

I fell in love with Ridley and Colt (and their pets, honestly). Ridley is strong and brave and so compassionate. And Colt is pure cinnamon roll hero goodness! The grumpy sheriff with a gooey center who will make you feel all the feels.

ALL THE MISSING PIECES was a great romantic suspense with a villain I never suspected. This book has heart and sweetness and spice!

This is my favorite Catherine Cowles book to date!

SPICE LEVEL: Rated R / 2-4 descriptive sex scenes, may have harsh language.
CONTENT WARNING: Romantic Suspense related violence, abduction, murder (off page)
FEELS: 4/5 - Tackled some seriously tough topics.
POV: Dual - M/F - 1st Person

There’s just something so comforting about a Catherine Cowles novel. I know that no matter what, her books will be filled with the perfect blend of romance, suspense, and mystery. All the Missing Pieces is no exception.

Ridley Bennett lands in the small town of Shady Cove in search of her next story. A popular true crime podcaster, Ridley hopes to solve a case that’s plagued her for years: that of her missing twin sister Avery. Her search led her to the Emerson Sinclair, resident of Shady Cove, and the person Ridley believes is the first of many assaults and attempted assaults from a serial killer connected to her sister’s disappearance. Emerson was just the lucky one who got away. In town, she bumps into Colter Brooks, the town sheriff, and immediately butts heads with him. But as the cold case takes a turn, the two work jointly to solve the case and begin to slowly lean into the emotions pulling them together.

I really enjoyed this book! It was so compulsively readable - the mystery had me hooked from the start. I genuinely did not know who it could have been and was so surprised by the twist.

I loved the small town of Shady Cove and all the characters that make up its population! I also really loved Emerson and Ridley’s characters. The strength and resilience they both displayed throughout the book was so inspiring. And Trey! I want a book on him and his one true love (if you know you know).

Overall, if you enjoy romantic suspense novels or Catherine Cowles’ work, pick this one up when it comes out in January! It is Catherine’s best work yet!

So many thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC!

Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for and advance copy.

She’s a podcaster who dives into cold cases and has decent luck. She rolls into town to try to figure out an old kidnapping and it turns out it’s related really closely to the disappearance of her own twin sister. He’s the Sherriff and older brother to the victim of that cold case kidnapping.

The friction was delicious. He’s spending his time trying to figure out her angle and she’s stirring up the hornets nests to find new information to get to the bottom of it. Then someone takes it really personally that she’s looking and comes after her.

I’ve read a ton of Catherine Cowles at this point but this was an excellent choice for her first traditionally published book. She gets into the details of the case without making it feel like a gory true crime story but you can still feel the anxiety of not knowing who is responsible. I read the whole thing in one sitting.

This author crafted a story that had me devouring every word in one sitting. I went into this story with no expectations and found that the author delivered an all-consuming book that had me in a vise grip. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding, anticipating what the next page would bring. This is one not to be missed. If you are in to romantic suspense…even if you are not… grab this book. You will be blown away, caught in a web of masterfully weaved words by an author who has honed her writing to be exceptional.

Hot dang. Catherine's first traditionally published book and she did. Not. Miss. Without giving too much away it's a true Catherine Cowles book to the core except where the ones I've read before were romance with the suspense/mystery as the b plot, its opposite here. The suspense, let's figure out who did this, and everything about thag is the main story and the romance is the b plot. There was one thing I got right at the beginning and then literally every other twist I didn't get and I'm normally a good guesser. I'm so stinking proud of Catherine. Who has been lovely to chat with. Who is just a beautiful soul. And this book was incredible. So dang proud.

Ridley, a rudderless twin, loses her sister the night before graduation, but only in a sense of she goes missing and there's nothing for them to go on. So for the following five years- she finds purpose in podcasting and helping victims and victims find closure. Very crime junkie esqe. I love it. Colt is the town sheriff and has a gigantic stick up his ass. But together, they try to help the victims. They try to protect Emerson, the first in a string of victims. And now they are getting close to finding out everything. And that can't happen.

Let me tell you. I FLEW through this. Jeeeeeeeezzz so good. Read it

Catherine Cowles hits with another amazing suspenseful romance. If you are a true crime girlie, this one is perfect. Ridley has personally been impacted by a horrible crime, and sets off to help others fighting for justice with her true crime podcast. Traveling in her van, with her cat, has proved successful for her until she gets to Shady Cove. She hits a speed bump in the form of the local Sheriff, Colt. He too is passionate about solving cases, but the fun is seeing how they figure out how to do it together! Their relationship was so funny and real, I loved seeing Ridley push his buttons. The story was so good! The side characters were involved and exciting I would love to know more about them! Colt is the calm to her Chaos. This is a must read.

Colt and Ridley support each other in such a beautiful way. the understanding, care, and forgiveness (for themselves and each other) had me kicking my feet. I am a lover of all things catherine cowles and her first trad pub is no different!

Wow this was so incredible! I loved Ridley and Colt and the chemistry was incredible but the layers of this story was what’s made it so great! It truly felt like not just one thing but a a totally unique story. Will be adding to our library 100%!

Wow!
Just wow!
Catherine knocked it out of the park with this one!
I absolutely loved Ridley and Colt! Such great characters who will have your emotions all over the map. And I loved how well written the supporting characters are in this one. I’m really hoping two certain characters get their story told next.

HINT HINT HINT!!!

I will definitely be rooting for that story!

Ridley is trying to find her missing sister even though she realistically knows she’s never coming home. Which is heart breaking honestly. Her sister is essentially who brings her to Shady Groves. Or maybe it’s his sister. Hard to say. Either way, it isn’t long before Ridley meets the handsome sheriff.

This is a great romantic suspense story that will have you rooting for the good guys and will definitely have a well deserved happily ever after at the end.

This book left me speechless. I have read every single book written by Catherine Cowles and this is her best book ever. Catherine wrote characters with such depth and the community was so well written. I felt as I was walking into the coffee shop or into The Barrel. The suspense and plot felt like I was a part of a true crime podcast come to life. If you are a fan of true crime podcast, then you will not be able to out this book down. It is classic Catherine with just the right amount of spice for small town romance but suspense with mystery. Ridley’s story literally made me gasp out loud at various points and then made me cry and then made me laugh. This is a top read for the year.

I am so happy I discovered Catherine! She gives you everything! Thriller, mystery, romance, comedy and some spice! Be prepared once you get a few chapters in you won’t want to put her books down and this book is no exception!

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I was shocked by the twist in the end! Such a good book. Can’t wait to read the others in this series!

This book haunts me (in a good way!) It lives rent free in my head, and I can’t wait to read it a second, third, etc. time. I’m already a huge fan of Catherine Cowles, but I truly believe this is her best work yet. From laughter to tears, Ridley’s story had me feeling all the emotions. I was hooked within the first few pages—I truly felt the bond between sisters which made the story come alive.

I absolutely loved the way Ridley was portrayed—despite bringing back awful memories and opening up old wounds, she brought love and healing to a small town that didn’t know it even needed her.

The relationship building between Colt and Ridley also felt very realistic. I absolutely loved the dynamics between them, especially “enemies with benefits”.

The pacing of the novel also was fantastic, with a good blend of action, intrigue, and lightheartedness despite the heavy topics addressed. I also absolutely loved the twist at the end—often times I can guess the “bad guy” in books and movies, but I absolutely did not see this one coming.

It is a must read for anyone who loves slow burn, enemies to lovers, true crime, or thrillers. I cannot wait until it releases so I can share it with all of my friends.

With the death of her sister fueling her need to help, Ridley finds her true crime podcast working on a case that may be connected to more than just her sisters. But with answers comes danger and that is where Sheriff Colt becomes more than just a brother of one of the victims. With every turn of the page Law Man and Chaos as well as danger gets closer. The reader is taken on a wild ride to finding truth. This story will make your heart race while at the same time making it swoon.

I loved everything about this book, it had everything I love in a book. From suspense, romance, murder, and much more. Colt Brooks may be the grumpiest sheriff, but deep down he is a golden retriever.

This book was so good, from the mystery, to the romance, oh and I love some good towns people. There is not much I would change about this book at all, I was not a love with the little plot of friends with benefits, but also I don’t really like that in any book, but it’s ok because you can tell they are both lying thought there teeth about it not being serious 😂

I don't know where to begin. Well, it began in tears and ended in tears. I was not at all prepared for the journey of this book. I already had this on kindle pre order but went ahead and pre order the physical book trophy as well.

Ridley (love the freaking name) is a true crime podcaster out to help families that didn't get closure. While trying so solve a mystery she busts one wide open and the ripple effect takes out the whole town of Shady Cove.

Colt, small town sheriff, immediately hates Ridley due to town member, Celia, trying to break into Ridley's van due her thinking the cat is overheating 🤣 his grumpy attitude is not welcoming and Ridley is instantly irritated that he dislikes her for no fault of her own.

The two battle, not literally, until they have a moment of clarity and realize they can help each other and get more accomplished.

The rest of the book, oh dang. I was hooked from the begining but could not put it down after about 60%, I had to know the ending. I had so many theories that I had to know how it ended.

These two characters were developed so well I felt every emotion both of them had that I was in tears multiple times. I felt their happiness, sadness and joy.

I was invested in each character both main and side and was rooting for everyone by the end of the story.

I was torn that this was a standalone because I want to know each and every future for the characters in the end.

This is a must read from Catherine 💜

Thank you to Catherine Cowles, Sourcebooks, and NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Catherine Cowles blew it absolutely out of the park for her first traditionally published book! This book was everything I could have wanted and more! All The Missing Pieces of officially in my top 5 of Catherine Cowles books ever. Ridley was such a different FMC than previous CC girls and I absolutely loved her. Her enthusiasm, spirit and fight was really refreshing. I thought the way she was developed was so unique and I l loved watching her grow. Colt was perfect. He was nuanced and complex and haunted; all the things I love about my CC men. His relationship with his sister hit me right in the heart. I loved how protective and loving he was to everyone in his life. Ridley and Colt were explosive together in every sense of the word. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the true crime elements and how everything played out. The twist totally got me and I thought it was so well thought out. All the freaking stars. Catherine Cowles continues to be one of my all time favorite authors!

I am a huge Catherine Cowles fan and am sad to admit this wasn’t a stand from her. While I still loved reading it and enjoyed the mystery it fell a little more flat for me than I’d hoped.

Her writing is formulaic in the best way, and I usually really love the comfort and ease of that but this book felt like characters and the overall feel of the couples tension were almost being recycled in a way that I don’t usually feel with her other stories.

On the very positive side Catherine is a prolific writer and her experience and expertise really shine in this story. Her dialogue and the way she is able to make me so suspicious of every single person in the story is incredible.

Very excited to see where this series goes and how the towns story evolves!
