I thought this was a good book, I did however feel it was a bit drawn out. While the characters were likeable their story seemed like their situation was a bit drawn out and repetitive. I was thinking at one point they may not get the HEA but they did just not how I expected

Definitely not my favorite Tessa Bailey book, but definitely not my least favorite either. Both Chloe and Sig were a bit eye-rolly, but overall this was a fun read.

I just finished this book, and I know it will stick with me for a long time. After flying through the first two in the series and attending an author talk with Ms.Tessa earlier in the year, I was looking forward to this one and was extremely excited to get an ARC.
This book was a great continuation of the Big Shots sports series. The romance was fast paced and kept me wanting more, especially with the relationship inside of a relationship twist. I knew there would be a happy ending, but I was still surprised by the outcome. I appreciate the character continuation throughout the series not being overdone (mention of Tallulah and Burgess ). Overall, Tessa is brilliant and writes books that everyone can enjoy with some steamy scenes and some heartfelt romance mixed in. You want the characters to win because you end up falling in love with them. I will be recommending this book and series to my family and friends for a long time.

Let me start off by saying I was really excited for this book, and couldn't believe my luck when I was approved for an arc. I fell in love with Chloe and Sig in The Au Pair Affair and couldn't wait to read their story, especially to get more of Chloe. Sadly, in their own book these two characters felt lacking to me.
Chloe and Sig are a classic case of insta lust, and I say lust not love because what they had never felt like love to me, it came off as lust and obsession without really conveying why. The whole premise of their story is that they can't be together because her mom and his dad are getting married, except they meet for the first time without knowing their parents are dating. I didn't really see why this was such a big issue considering they didn't grow up together and they're all adults, surely that would have been easy to explain in the face of the scandal they were all hell bent on avoiding. This being the main conflict felt a bit flimsy to me.
Sig immediately decides Chloe is the love of his life and he wants to take care of her and give her the life of luxury she's always been accustomed to. But instead of caring it comes off as infantalising in my eyes, which is odd because it's stated time and time again that Sig is the one encouraging Chloe's independence and helping her go out into the world.
We don't really get to witness them bonding, we just get told that it has happened, about their evenings watching tv and having deep conversations, which makes it hard to believe in their connection when I haven't been allowed to witness it unfold as a reader.
Chloe's endearingly whimsical energy from The Au Pair Affair gets completely lost in this book. Instead it seems like all their waking thoughts revolve around them not being able to take that step of being together and exploring a relationship, which gets tedious after a while.
There's a lot of telling instead of showing in Dream Girl Drama, which sadly did not allow for the book to live up to it's full potential in my opinion. The bones are there, it just felt like it could have benefited from some more work to explore the story and their relationship.
That being said the arc did state the book was still subject to change as the release isn't until Febuary 2025, so the final edition might wary from the one I was given.
Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins for gifting me this arc.

Whew, the rollercoaster this book took me on! The love at first sight vibes were so good. The tension and self control lasted longer than I liked, I guess it was needed for the story to pan out the way she wanted it to. The ending was very predictable and the epilogue as well. The spice was spicy, with really good anticipation building it up. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend.

I’ve read a handful of Tessa Bailey books, and each of them are very consumable. This one was no exception, but it kinda fell off for me. Some things felt really rushed, especially towards the end and it felt like not all the loose ends got tied up.
Don’t get me wrong, I whipped through this book really fast - Bailey’s writing style lends itself to making that easy, but it’s the depth that was lacking. It felt hard to truly connect to the characters when a lot of the main characters problems stemmed from external people we rarely saw.

*ARC NetGalley review* Oh my goodness I just loved this book so much! Sig and Chloe were the absolute sweetest! I loved their dynamic, the plot was pretty common trope but done in a very tasteful way. Their friendship was so precious but the honest to goodness raw yearning they had for one another was just heartbreaking at times. I really admired the respect they had for for their parents but it was painful to read at times. Everything was just all so perfect! The slow burn was paced perfectly and the heat was worth the wait 😮💨🤌🏻. I especially loved the setting being in Boston. As a MA native myself, (born and raise) it’s always exciting to read books set in my wonderful city. Highly recommend this series especially this book (my favorite of the series) 🌶️🌶️

I am not usually a huge fan of the step sibling trope, it feels like it needs a bigger trigger warning for people? Either way I do love a hockey romance and this fit the bill! Soon to be step sibs Chloe and Sig were introduced to us in the Au Pair Affair. I do love the fight for love, loyalty and friends to lovers but it was hard to get over the initial difficulty with the step siblings!

Tessa Bailey has done it again. Dream Girl Drama is the cutest love story about two people who are incredibly selfless and are the definition of fighting for what they love, which is each other.
This wonderfully written romance novel will have you laughing and will literally melt your heart.
The immediate connection between Sig & Chloe can be felt right off the bat. Then throughout the book as their connection intensifies, their love for each other was just so palpable!
Overall, I absolutely love this book and I’m looking forward to what’s in store for this series.

I'm 10000% a sucker for a hockey romance trope there's no doubt about that and I will say I was a little concerned about the siblings falling in love aspect of this. I am glad I ignored my initial feelings cause I was so wrong about what I was going to read and I ended up loving this!
The writing starts of strong with the chemistry of Sig and Chloe and not a beat is missed the entire story. Not once did I get bored or feel there was repetition. The pacing for the timeline was on point and I found myself not being able to put the book down. It was always "let me read one more chapter" till it was over.
Thank you Net Galley for the advanced reading copy. I can't wait to buy my own copy when it comes out

I have always been a Tessa Bailey fan and this third book in the Big Shots series did not disappoint.
Things I loved about Dream Girl Drama --
+ Forbidden Love
+ Family Drama
+ Hockey Player
+ FMC with big career goals
Sig and Chloe were introduced in The Au Pair Affair and wow I was obsessed with them from their first introduction. They are the meaning of love at first sight but then find out they're soon to be step siblings and that throws a wrench in their plans. Throughout each book you see their struggle to remain best friends only when they want so much more while each dealing with their own family issues and career goals. Chloe is a prodigy harpist which I loved and to see her pursue her goals on her own terms without the influence of others.
Overall would definitely recommend to all!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes: best friends, possessive MMC, grumpy/sunshine, future step siblings
You can feel the fireworks blasting off during Chloe and Sig’s chance meet-cute. The instant chemistry was palpable, except they needed to put a pin in it until after they attended their respective family dinners that evening.
The turmoil begins (and doesn’t end) the minute they realize her mom and his dad are engaged to be married. That’s right, they had the same family dinner to attend and will eventually be step siblings.
With high profile, visible jobs, a romance with your step sibling probably won’t go over well. So Chloe and Sig embark on an impossible friendship. Can their friendship overcome their desire? Will they ever be able to move on and live their lives separately? How in the hell can they possibly conquer this….?

This was a really great book! Sig and Chloe’s connection was amazing. All the way from the moment they met till the end of the book. Dream Girl Drama is a must read! Tessa Bailey not only does a great job capturing their chemistry but the beautiful friendship they have as well.

This was just a great book from Tessa Bailey. I loved the story and the characters so much. I was looking forward to this one and was not disappointed.

Thank you to HarperCollins Publishers for the Advance Reader’s e-proof of this book!!
I love Tessa Bailey’s plots and writing. I was SO EXCITED to be accepted for this ARC! So excited that I read this in 36 hours. Her banter and ability to make the reader feel like they’re talking to their bestie about a guy/girl is unmatched. Her characters always just feel so real and Chloe and Sig were no exception. Their connection was something I think all of us hope to find in life. If not evident by the speed in which I read this book, I was hooked on the plot. I’m a sucker for a hockey romance, but this one brought another level of depth with Chloe’s music ability and determination to earn her freedom. I highly recommend this book, and I can’t wait to talk about with my book club once it comes out! 4.5 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for the opportunity to read and review this eARC! I have devoured this series since Fangirl Down, and Sig and Chloe do not disappoint. Their connection is so electric, and it’s so wonderful to see Chloe grow and blossom in her independence. The pining is heavy in this one, but you’ll gobble it right up if that’s your thing. Overall this wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it’s hard to top Sir Savage!! 3.5 stars overall.

This was a different read for me. I have not read many of Tessa Bailey's books but overall, I enjoyed this one. While there were times I found the FMC to be annoying and helpless, (and the MMC didn't help the case) the chemistry between the two was off the charts. Sometimes I felt like it was more lust than love but what books aren't nowadays? Right off the bat, there is the most charming meet cute that sets up the entire book. I don't know that I will ever be a fan of the "we meet as adults yet our parents are getting married so we can't date - step-siblings" plot but I don't think it was done poorly in this book. There was a LOT of drama in this book.
Overall the book was full of cute romantic moments, for the most part, endearing characters, and a fast-paced read. I would definitely recommend it to people who love Tessa Bailey and authors like her.
Many thanks to Avon and NetGalley for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC copy of Dream Girl Drama! First off, if you aren’t a fan of instalove- though I think I would refer to it more as love at first sight- don’t give up on this book. I don’t typically like that style of book. But there was something about Chloe’s pixie personality and Sig’s gruff cinnamon roll vibe that drew me in.
I caught myself rooting for this couple. The chemistry was fantastic and I loved Sig so much. Who doesn’t love a hockey player? The wrong side of the tracks feel gave me Pretty in Pink vibes and I loved that. Sig’s good guy mixed with the grump in him appealed to me. Watching Chloe grow and become independent while also very much giving Legally Blonde vibes kept me giggling through it all. I didn’t love the pacing of the book at first. Jumping months apart was frustrating to me but I understood why it was done.
I wanted to punch Harvey and Rosie when we learn of Sig’s paternity but you can’t help but also wanting to jump for joy. Also, screw Sofie and cheers for Chloe finally setting boundaries. Seeing their HEA at the end was worth it all. I wanted more of Bobby Prince and that side of Sig’s family too. He deserved that relationship so much. I definitely want to see Corrigan and Skylar’s love story now! And maybe Mailer getting Reese to fall for him. I wont lie, I haven’t read either of the previous books in this series and now I’m dying to go back and read Tahlullah and Burgess’ story!
Was it my favorite romance? No. But I enjoyed reading it and was surprised by finding myself actually enjoying the love at first sight trope.

I have loved several Tessa Bailey books- this was not my favorite. Chloe and Sig meet by chance at a country club her family is a member of- his truck breaks down and he needs a phone charger. It’s insta-love between this hockey player and pampered princess. Later that night, at dinner, they learn their parents are engaged and they will be step siblings. Sig becomes determined to find a way for them to be together- including moving her to Boston, setting her up in an apartment and paying her expenses while she trains as a harpist…. After one kiss and a dinner. The biggest issue I have is that Chloe is child like- has no idea how to do laundry, cook, pay bills- anything. Sig just steps in and handles it all for her… It feels like the characters have no growth and the whole story is rushed. The pros? The story is entertaining, the supporting characters are fun and I love the banter between the hockey teammates. I’d love to see Tessa dive into the new female general manager Reese at some point. The spice is spicy. Overall, it’s not my favorite TB book, but I didn’t hate it. It’s entertaining enough.
Thank you Net Galley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

How could I possibly love yet another hockey book boyfriend anymore than the last?! I don’t know how Tessa does it, but she has me hooked yet again!
This third book can be read on its own, but I was so so happy to get Sig and Chloe’s story after meeting them in AuPair Affair. They have such a beautiful connection that jumps off the pages. Finding out their meet cute, how they take care of each other in their own special ways, it all just felt like a giant warm hug. I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time reading this!
Chloe makes me want to be her friend and reminds me of Rachel in season 1 of Friends! Striking out on her own and excited to learn how to do laundry. I think we can all identify with her Sephora addiction. 😆 Sig, the big teddy bear that wants to take care of her and everyone around him.
The two of them have insane chemistry and clearly fell hard and fast for each other, but are future step-siblings! Eek. They have to navigate all of these feelings and being in the public eye on the cusp of Sig’s contract renewal with his NHL team, it gets dicey, but their connection is strong.
The rookies also get their time to shine here and there for comedic relief, do I sense a potential book for them coming?! I sure hope so!
I will be thinking of Sig and Chloe for a long time and the things that he says to her, swoooooonworthy.
“Until my last sunrise, dream girl.” 🥰
