Sig and Chloe forbidden love story made me feel so many emotions. I loved the fact that he was always supporting her without cutting her wings, and how he help her gained more confidence in her herself after being vey deprived by her own mother. I really liked the story and it was very easy to follow and the slow burn was so good, definitely made the story very entertaining.
I will highly recommend this book to my customers and friends.

This was a SLOW SLOW SLOW burn and I loved every second of it! I loved that we really got to know Sig and Chloe. We met them in The Au Pair Affair and got to know them even better in Dream Girl Drama. I love that it's a true series. The romance between Sig and Chloe was deep going beyond the physical. This was a great read and I highly recommend it!

I loved this book. Thank you NetGalley for my ecopy!!

I kinda expected the plot twist at the end, because how else was their love story going to be solved. I didn’t understand the character development with the dad though. One minute he’s an asshole and at the end he is all apologizing and everything. I don’t think that flowed well, especially with everything going on. It just didn’t seem realistic. But I loved the relationship between the two main characters. Chloe was cute if not a little dumb. I’m glad how everything turned out though. I loved the MMC, I don’t get why everyone was calling their parents for their first name. The dad made sense but if mom was always there then why?

Whew, Tessa Bailey knows how to write a romance! I love her sports romance books. You fly through them and they have a great amount of spice. I love that this book had a lot of tension and build up which really made the book even more entertaining. I loved the banter and I laughed out loud multiple times. I am never disappointed in Tessa. Thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC!

This book was so good! I loved it so much!!!! Tessa Bailey never fails me and if we can't get consistency outside of books, at least I can count on Tessa.

I love Tessa Bailey books. I love the relationship between the characters in the short series. I love the steamy scenes. I love the plots. All of it.

I did not love Dream Girl Drama, which I had been excited to read after having read the first 2 books in the Big Shots series (Au Pair Affair - 5 stars) and Fan Girl Drama (5 stars). I just couldn't get into it. I made it about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the way through the book and decided that I had better books to read. I'm sorry. I just can't recommend this book, but I look forward to reading Bailey's next book.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins for allowing me to read this ARC.

I really enjoyed this cute Tessa Bailey hockey romance. I did have a hard time with the whole they can’t be together because they are soon to be step siblings. They arnt related so I’m not sure why it matters to everyone. But besides that the characters had great chemistry. I enjoyed this more than the first book in the series. Thanks to NetGalley, Tessa Bailey and the publisher for an arc in exchange for my review. 3.5 stars

Tessa Bailey strikes again with Dream Girl Drama, serving up a delicious cocktail of chaos, chemistry, and heart. The story follows a heroine who’s equal parts quirky and messy, making her both relatable and delightfully unpredictable. The banter is snappy, the steam is top-tier (as expected from Bailey), and the romantic tension is thick enough to spread on toast. The hero? Swoon-worthy but flawed, giving just the right amount of broody charm without tipping into cliché territory.

While the plot occasionally takes a few detours into melodrama, the emotional payoff makes it worth the ride. Bailey’s signature blend of humor and heat keeps the pages turning, and the side characters add an extra dash of fun. It’s the perfect pick for when you’re craving a little escapism with a lot of heart—and some seriously spicy moments.

First of all, I love Tessa Bailey! Her books have likable characters & always make me laugh. I love when a romance has plot outside the FMC/MMC’s romance.

However, when it comes to instalust/instalove, I am not a fan. I need angst, yearning & all that but not 5 seconds after the MMC sees our FMC for the first time. If the instalove trope is an ick for you like it is for me, this might not be the book for you!

It is still an entertaining story, as are all of TB’s books I’ve read so far!

This has been a fun series to read, although I don’t think you really need to read the previous to read this one. However, this book was personally not for me. I LOVED the previous tessa bailey books I’ve read so I was SO excited to get an ARC of this one, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. I am personally not a big fan of insta-love and kinda get the ick from it, so that was a big issue for me from the beginning. I also was just REALLY not a fan of Chloe. When I dislike a character (that’s not meant to be disliked per se), it impacts my thoughts on the book overall and I think that ultimately was the case here.

All that being said, I was excited for the taboo aspect (I’m a fan of the step siblings trope oops), but like I mentioned earlier the insta love kind of ruined that for me as well.

While this one wasn’t for me, I’m excited for her next book and all the ones to come!

(I did not share this review anywhere else as I don’t like to share reviews on socials that are below 3 stars)

Tessa Bailey is one of my favorite authors, her books never disappoint!
In this hockey romance, a hockey player named Sig meets the girl of his dreams, a beautiful harp player named Chloe when his car breaks down at her country club. They share some champagne and kisses under the moonlight. They can hardly wait to see each other again, but first Sig has to have dinner with his father.
Sig is surprised to see Chloe sitting at his table, and they’re both shocked when his father and her mother announce their engagement!
Now, based on his dad’s past behavior, Sig can’t date Chloe in case his father is just using her mother. Sig helps Chloe get set up to go to school in Boston, and their relationship deepens as time goes on. I liked the journeys they both had to go on to get to their relationship as adults.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I LOVE A HOCKEY ROMANCE! However, insta-love is not my favorite and I neither is step sibling romance. As usual, Tessa Bailey has me both giggling and cringing, and I love her for that! The main characters were not my favorite (she was not independent, at all and he was immature.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tessa Bailey and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC!

Grateful I got to read this ARC from Tessa Bailey and HarperCollins! Unfortunately I really couldn't buy into the insta-love and potential step-siblings will they won't they. For those that love the heated, quick, and dramatic flair Tessa Bailey can give her characters, I would totally recommend!

When professional hockey player Sig Gauthier experiences a car breakdown and a dead phone outside of an upscale country club, he doesn’t expect to meet his Dream Girl: Chloe Clifford. After sharing a kiss under the moonlight, Sig and Chloe are eager to meet again. However, their plans are thrown off when they end up at the same dinner party and discover they are soon to become step-siblings. Despite their initial romantic attraction, both Sig and Chloe become cautious about pursuing a relationship. This becomes increasingly difficult as they realize their feelings for one another are not something they can ignore. As they spend more time together they must decide: is their love for one another worth risking their careers for?

I should begin this review by saying that I knew from the early pages of the book that this definitely wasn’t going to be something that I loved. I know too much about Darien, too little about hockey, and I just generally don’t like the bubbly personalities of the characters. Sig bubbly, you ask? Yes, to some degree I think he is. I’ve read Tessa Bailey before and enjoyed it. She may not be my favorite author, but I respect what she does. However, I cannot say the same is true of Dream Girl Drama.

Dream Girl Drama had potential, but ultimately, certain elements made it difficult to fully enjoy. Sig’s overprotective nature came across as cringeworthy rather than endearing, and Chloe’s repeated need for rescuing leaned too heavily into the dated and, frankly, insulting damsel-in-distress trope. While the spice was present, it often felt melodramatic rather than organic. Additionally, the potential step-sibling storyline pushed the boundaries of believability a little too far.

That said, fans of hockey romance who enjoy a protective hero and plenty of drama may still find this entertaining. However, if you’re looking for a plot with even moderate realism, this might not be the best fit.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

tessa bailey is a hit or miss author for me and unfortunately this time it was the latter. while i loved the beginning of this book and how sig was so head over heels for chloe from the get go, i started losing interest after the 60% mark. However, while i thought negatively about the second half of this book, i would still recommend it to a friend because it had a lot of pining, it's forbidden, a hero that falls first and then falls harder.

thank you netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a fan of Tessa Bailey and have read multiple of her books, so I was so excited to be granted access to this one! I also always love a hockey romance

Sig is on his way to meet his father and his new girlfriend for dinner when fate sets in. Sig’s old beloved pickup truck breaks down outside of a country club, forcing him to go in to request to use the phone despite not being a member. When the front desk person is unwilling to help him, Sig is saved when a random woman pretends to know him, claiming him as her guest. Sparks and attraction immediately fly between the two, and they end up sharing an expensive bottle of champagne…and an unforgettable kiss. Chloe has to leave for a dinner before things can get any further, but they plan to meet up later to finish what they started. However, everything gets derailed when Sig shows up to dinner and Chloe is there. Turns out, sig’s father is dating Chloe’s mother-and the dinner is to announce they’re engaged.

The two realize things can’t go any further since they’re future step siblings.. which wouldn’t be so hard, except Chloe, a harp prodigy, has announced that she wants to go to school in Boston, which is coincidentally where Sig lives. Sig agrees to show her the ropes, and as the two spend more time together, the harder it is for them to deny their connection.

I enjoyed this one! I thought the way Chloe and Sig met was so fun. I do wish Sig’s character was developed a bit more, though, as I feel like the only thing I took away from him is that he’s in love with Chloe. We know he’s a hockey player, we know he’s not close with his parents, but I feel like we don’t get to know a ton about his personality other than his devotion to Chloe. I also am not a huge fan of the insta love trope, so even though I did enjoy Chloe and Sig as a couple, Sig agreeing to move Chloe to Boston and take care of her the same day he meets her was a bit unrealistic to me.

I do recommend this one to any Tessa Bailey fans! It’s a fun read

Tessa Bailey is definitely hit or miss with her books for me. Despite this, I still love all of her books, even if they’re only three star worthy (this one). I think from the very beginning the sibling trope put a weird taste in my mouth. Although I do read Tessa’s books for the unlimited amount of space I do wish there was more character development in this one. I do love a cute quirky couple with some sports elements, but this one was not a favorite of hers for me.

Tessa Bailey books hit every time. The forbidden love aspect in this one gave us all the angst and tension. My only issue is I keep realizing I do not like sports romances, but that’s on me & didn’t affect my rating.

I went back and forth on this review because this is the perfect example of a book that I think most people will love but wasn’t for me. I didn’t realize this had the insta-love trope and that is a trope I’m not a huge fan of. I also struggled with Chloe because oh no she spent too much money at Sephora? I think this is a situation where I am far to practical and anxious to be able to do something like that. So I really struggled to connect with her and because of that I didn’t love her. I also struggled with why it had to be so forbidden? Like they aren’t step-siblings yet and they won’t be until they are both very adults. Like I guess it could be scandalous but I just can’t fathom it going as far as it was portrayed.

I will say that the pining in this book was off the charts so that is one thing it had going for it. I definitely felt the longing they had for each other and when the spice did happen it was SPICY. So that is what kept me going until the end. The twist would have had more payoff for me if I had thought the forbidden aspect of their relationship was valid. So all that to say that I really think this is just a book that isn’t for me. It is will well-written and I do still like Tessa Bailey’s writing. I would recommend it for fans of insta-love, hockey, and forbidden romance.

I received this book as part of the Endlessly Well Read book club so thank you to @netgalley and @avonbooks for sending us a copy!

This was just okay. I really liked the MMC but the FMC seemed really childish (I get it, she's sheltered) but other times she also seemed pretty street smart? I don't know that I understood her all that much. I also wasn't a huge fan of the insta-love. BUT it's a quick romance and easily binge-able!
