Thank you to Net Galley for the chance to read this early! It was fine overall, but certainly not my favorite of Tessa’s. The instant love and changing your whole life plan felt like a bit too much for me, but the story was cute as a whole.

Avon and NetGalley have blessed me with an eARC and I am so grateful! Tessa is on my short list of ride or die, read anything they write, no questions asked, authors and I am here to tell you Dream Girl Drama is a great time. Forbidden romance, insta-love, slow burn, angst, touch her and die, found family, BANTER I just loved it all and can’t wait to add the physical book to my shelf in February!

Tessa does NOT disappoint in this one. Chloe and Sig are actual soulmates and the story is just outrageous enough. I loved every bit of this.

FORBIDDEN LOVE?! HOCKEY ROMANCE?! I ATE THIS UP SO FAST!!!

Tessa Bailey did it again!!! I knew I would love Sig and Chloe when they were introduced in the Au Pair Affair book! This screamed Romeo and Juliet to me, and that was my favorite in high school! The chemistry between these two was steamy!! The way Sig was head over heels for her and her well being, and her biggest cheerleader had my heart skipping beats! I loved that he helped Chloe find the confidence she needed to follow her dreams!

I am hoping for another book, because how can characters be introduced and no story be in the plans?!

Thank you NetGalley, Avon, and Harper voyager for the arc! I am honored to have read this in exchange for my honest review!

I really wanted to enjoy this book, I’ve liked the authors previous books so I figured I would enjoy this one as well. It started off right away with insta love and attraction. Which isn’t really my thing. I prefer more of a plot with my romcoms. But if that’s your thing you will love it! The story follows two adults Sig and Chloe who met and instantly know they are the one for each other. There’s just one problem… Chloe’s mom and Sig’s dad are now engaged and in a short amount of months they will be step siblings and what does that do for their friendship they are trying to navigate without making it messy. There’s plenty a tension and if this sounds like a book you would enjoy, I say go for it!

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC for an honest review. Happy reading!

Dream Girl Drama is filled with drama and a somewhat toxic relationship.

We follow Sig and Chloe who are soon to be step siblings dance around each other for months. The thing is though is that they met first before they had any idea that their parents were dating. It didn't necessarily seem like too big of a deal to me, they are both adults, Sig is nearly 30. They weren't raised with each other. Both of them being in the public eye however as an all star hockey player and a world class harpist, the optics do not look good. I feel like they could have explained this to the press and everything would have been fine but alas what is a romcom without some drama. I did eat up every minute of it. Will Sig and Chloe find a way around their parent's upcoming marriage? You'll need to read to find out.

The steam and tension were great. The side characters from the other books made me want to go back and read their stories and any upcoming ones. It isn't necessary to read them first though which was good for me. It's always a plus if you can follow along interconnected standalone without any previous knowledge of the other books. Would I read this again? Probably not but I will definitely be picking up other books by this author.

Thank You Tessa Bailey and NetGalley for letting me get a sneak peak at this book.

Another fun story by Tessa Bailey - I hadn’t read any of the other books in this series but that didn’t make any difference. Both the FMC and the FMC were very likable and the (future) step-sibling tension/drama gave them both good storylines. While I knew how the story would end - c’mon, it’s a romance novel - the twist was unexpected.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC ebook!

This was SO fun!!! Sig was completely gone for Chloe, totally smitten, just entirely down bad!! And Tessa is the queen at writing obsessed MMCs! The motherfreaking TENSION!!! OMG - Outstanding! The spice!! The laughs!! The swooning!! I loved this book!!

I finished reading it around 11:00pm and woke up wanting to start it again, I love Sig and Chloe so much! I knew this was going to be a slow burn, given the nature of their relationship, but the way Tessa wrote it, it didn’t FEEL like a slow burn. I was hooked from page one, totally invested in their love story, and didn’t want to put the book down!

And the big Ah-HA! Moment toward the end?? I didn’t see it coming. I was trying to figure it out the whole book, but I didn’t see it coming! Tessa got me good, and I thank her (and Net Galley) for it!!

Thank you NetGalley and Tessa Bailey for the chance to read this book.

I enjoyed this book and really liked Sig and Chloe’s relationship. But at times she felt childlike and his obsession seemed unreal at some parts, but overall I enjoyed the development for the couple.

The burn was slow, I honestly wish they would have just hooked up the first night and knew what it felt like so maybe then the yearning would have felt a little more realistic, and I wish they would have just spoken to the parents more in depth about their feelings for each other. In the end though, it all worked out and I was happy with the overall story line.

The length it took me to read this is not a reflection of the book, I really did enjoy it… I was sick with the flu for a week.

Really enjoyed this book! It wasn’t my favorite in this series but it was definitely amazing. I think the whole step siblings thing kinda weirded me out but it was still a great read! I loved the romance, the humor, the banter, and the connections between books. Tessa Bailey also set up the next book perfectly!

I am a simple woman. I hear down bad, star-crossed lovers and I’m IN. You might going into this one thinking, “ugh, taboo isn’t my thing.” It’s not mine either. But Tessa wrote this one as if the taboo was an obstacle blocking the inevitable HEA – and tbh, I didn’t really even care about their parents' relationship and just wanted them to get together already. Low stakes!!!
Chloe and Sig are adorable. He helps her grow, escape a sheltered existence, and spoils the living hell out of her. Their chemistry is there from the start, and the pining is so good. Their story was worth the wait.
This one is very character-driven, and the characters are tropey. The plot is so light it’s basically nonexistent. But you should probably know at this point what you’re getting with a Tessa Bailey book, so just go along for the ride.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Absolutely obsessed. Definitely one of my favorites of Tessa Bailey's. I was already hype for this book when Sig & Chloe were mentioned in the previous series installment, but this was amazing. I didn't think the steamy bits were Bailey's best, but the pining was off the charts and it was nice to see a relationship develop in one of her books rather than the entire novel take place over a course of a week.

I received this book as an ARC, so thank you, Netgalley, for this.

In the previous book, The Au Pair Affair, these two characters were mentioned, and I was thrilled to read their story because I sensed something intriguing happening there. Sig is incredibly protective of Chloe and wants the best for her. However, in some instances, his actions felt excessive, like he was selling her memorabilia just to pay her rent and trying to give her everything while she squandered money on eye cream and irresponsible behavior. That was a bit too much for me (Chloe is a spoiled child). The chemistry between them was undeniable, and in some moments, it felt more like lust than love, in my opinion.

I was frustrated by how everyone made it seem like a taboo the narrative of them being “step-siblings” when they are two consenting adults in a relationship. It wasn’t really a taboo, but I could also see it being exaggerated by the media and upper-class society in real life.

Overall, the spice was good, and the slow burn was also enjoyable. I want to give my honest review and wish I could give more stars to this book. It was similar to books 1 and 2 in my opinion. So, if you liked the first two, you’ll likely enjoy this one as well.

NHL star meets his dream girl when his car breaks down only to discover his father is planning on marrying her mother. Then tension between her and her mother explodes and he steps in to help her get established on her own in Boston. The attraction is there, but now they can't act on it. Another steamy cute story from Bailey. As insta-love is not one of my favorite tropes, it's not my favorite in the series. But that's just me.

What a cute book - totally lives up to the rest of the series. Lovable characters, LOL funny, sweet love story and, of course, Tessa is the Queen when it comes to dirty-talking male characters.
Loved it!

I was so excited to get my hands on the newest Tessa Bailey book. It was an adorable sports romance between a hockey player and a harpist. Honestly, I thought in the first few pages that it was going to be about a spoiled rich girl and was kind of turned off, but her character was so well written and her growth was amazing, so by the end I was really rooting for her. I was glad it ended how it did - I was genuinely trying to figure out how their conflict was going to be solved.

“Dream Girl Drama” is SO good. I loved how it wasn’t your typical romance and I really couldn’t figure out how Chloe and Sig would find a way until the truth came out. Great turn of events with hearts on the sleeves! Tessa Bailey pulled it off with this book.

I was so excited to read this book because I just needed to know more after reading their quick interactions and odd but tense quick meets in the 2nd book. The way Sig has that protective vibe for Chloe makes so much sense since she’s going to BE HIS STEP SISTER! Plot freaking twist!

The angst/longing between these two was perfect and the “is this the right thing to do” vibe was fully there. So glad they don’t actually end up being step siblings because these two are meant for each other.

"But I always want you here with me afterward. And every moment in between."

So glad I read this!
*Thanks NetGalley for the arc*

Tessa Bailey's Big Shots series has become a source of huge disappointment for me. I absolutely loved book one, Fangirl Down. Since then, books two and three have not been good. It's like book one was written by someone different than the rest of the series. I really wanted to give this one a chance, and I read it pretty quickly, but I couldn't form any connections with the characters and I really didn't have much emotional attachment to anything. I didn't love the "drama" of this story and when all was resolved, I just didn't care anymore. This was a huge miss for me.

DNF - this is the first book that I read from this author. I’ve heard many great things about her books but I just couldn’t get into this one. This book is apart of a series but said can be read as a standalone. I did not read book 1 or 2 and went in blindly. It was just giving too much rich, white privilege for me. The characters were annoying and I just couldn’t read another page. I was even skimming to see if it got better but no.

Thanks NetGalley for giving me this arc tho! :)
