Such a fun and cute romcom to escape reality!
Sig and Chloe randomly meet at a country club and it’s love at first sight. They are immediately obsessed with each other, but it’s soon derailed when they find out their parents are engaged. Now faced with the reality that they will be step-siblings, they are forced to shut down their feelings for each other. The harder they fight to deny their feelings, the stronger they become. Sig is determined to find a way for them to be together!
I wish the “step-sibling dilemma” hadn’t been the entire plot, but I still enjoyed the story! I loved how protective Sig was of Chloe. He always took care of her and remembered the small things about her. He set the bar HIGH for book boyfriends. The side characters were so good in this book too. The rookies had me laughing out loud! Definitely a great read for something light, fluffy and with that signature Tessa Bailey spice!

Another great book in this fun series!
If you love Tessa Bailey, than you already know what you're going to get - a cozy romance, with some angst, some spice, and a lot of love. If you don't know Tessa Bailey - then you need to dive right in!!
Fan Girl Down is still my favorite book from this series, but this was also fun! And I can't wait for the baseball one next - I never want this series to end!

Tessa Bailey is the queen of little rom-com books. I don’t know how she manages to release masterpiece after masterpiece… but she does.

I was so excited to get this ARC of Dream Girl Drama in my inbox! This story is an instalove, bringing all the fast-paced, whirlwind romance vibes. However, the first few chapters jump around a lot, covering almost six months of the characters knowing each other in just a few pages. While there were brief glimpses of that time, the rapid shifts made it a bit challenging to fully connect with their relationship and keep up with the timeline.
Once the story settled into the present day, though, it was smooth sailing! I loved the fun, flirty dynamic between the main characters, and their chemistry really came through. Now I'm super interested in a possible story for the two side characters, Skylar and Corrigan—fingers crossed for that one!

This was a great 3rd book in the series and I cant tell you how much I loved this book. It was so much more than I was hoping for. The pining yall, the step siblings. This book had me on the edge of seat waiting for the moment til they gave in. and the plot twist at the end will have you in shock!

I was really looking forward to this after getting a taste of the Sig/Chloe dynamics in The Au Pair Affair. And don't get me wrong, this was a fine book that I read in less than 24 hours. I just think maybe Tessa set my expectations too high with Fangirl Down.
Sig is a hockey player who grew up with a single mom and limited funds. Chloe plays tennis at her Connecticut country club when she isn't playing the harp (of which she is a prodigy). They meet-cute and IT IS ON. But then they (phew, almost immediately) find out her mother (whom she still lives with at 25) and his dad (whom he barely knows) have been dating and are now engaged (womp womp).
On its face, this isn't that scandalous. They did not grow up together, nor they did they meet via their parents. But Sig is in the NHL and it looks like he may be team captain soon. And later on, Chloe has her eyes set on first chair (of harpists, I guess?) Long story short, these poor kids can't be together because it won't look good in the media.
So, naturally, Sig inspires Chloe to move to Boston where he sets her up in a luxury apartment and buy her all the Sephora she wants. They become best friends. Like, the bestest friends. Friends who want to bone and get married and have babies but can't. The pining is real, y'all.
In the previous book, Chloe was characterized as blissfully spoiled and ignorant. Fortunately, these qualities were toned down in this book. Or maybe they just weren't front and center because both she and Sig didn't really clock them as major flaws. We first met Sig as the long-suffering, over-protective teammate who is clearly enamored with his future stepsister. Unfortunately, when we get his perspective the long-suffering aspect gives way to yearning. What I'm trying to say is that their dynamic was much more fun to watch from afar.
The future step-sibling aspect is original and external conflicts are always nice changes of pace from the old "I can'y love because I've never been loved" chestnut. But it grew a bit tiresome and repetitive. Probably because it was literally all either of them could think about after finding out. And they find out in the first couple chapters, so...the 80% break-up takes up 80% of the book.
It sounds like I didn't enjoy this book, but I did. Just not as much as Fangirl Down. Although, FD doesn't feature the Orgasm Donors, who remain delightfully absurd.

Ohhh what a spicy romance. Sig is one of the hottest book boyfriends I’ve read in a while. His mouth is dirty and the way he speaks about Chloe is just down right yummy. His love for Chloe is felt in every chapter of this book. Two people who are meant to be together yet can’t be. The pull these two have for one another is felt, your heart beats wildly for them to be able to get their hea. And what a beautiful one it is. They just have to go through he!! first.
Highly recommended. Thank you to NetGalley for the arc of this book.

Yall to say this is one of my most anticipated books of 2025 is an understatement. I have been dying to know Chloe & Sigs story since they were introduced. So when the arc gods over at Avon graced me with this book. I have never moved so fast to read a book. I swear I felt like a toddler with grabby hands. Let me tell you Mrs Bailey did not disappoint. Seeing Chloe & Sigs story play out is honestly one of my favorite books by Tessa.
Now you’re probably wondering if it was one of your favorite books, why 4 stars?!?? So maybe it’s a me thing but the whole forbidden step sibling romance trope I honestly don’t see it as a relationship faux pas. Seeing it cause so much tension and anxiety for all parties honestly annoyed me. Because my brain says they aren’t related by blood. Plus in today’s day and age who cares?!? Love who you love. Now I understand others might not agree with me and it could be my dark romance brain talking. But I’m sticking with it.
Ok done with my mini rant, back to raving about this book. I loved watching Chloe come into her own and become more self sufficient and independent. I loved watching Sig be protective and supportive. The two together are a perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Plus I loved seeing characters from the previous books pop up with some cameos.
Overall, “Dream Girl Drama” is amazing addition to the series. It’s filled of witty banter and a heart felt love story. Definitely not one to miss. Lastly big thank you to NetGalley & Avon for providing me an arc to read and review.

2.5 rounded up to 3 ⭐️
Dream Girl Drama had its cute moments, but those were outweighed by the negatives and this was a frustrating read for me. Because of the instantaneous chapter 1 love, and the skipping over the first 6 months they knew each other, this book was severely lacking in any romantic tension. There was outside tension from the conflict surrounding their potential step-sibling relationship, but it didn’t hit for me because it did not feel true to life to how people would react to two people who met as fully grown adults falling in love whose parents happen to be together. Both Sig and Chloe felt severely underdeveloped to me as well. Fangirl Down was such a promising start to this series for me, but after this one I think I have to accept this series isn’t for me.

Oh my gosh. Well first of all it took me only 2 days to finish this because I was dying to see how they’d resolve this.
I was not expecting to love a taboo and a forbidden romance but TESSA THE WOMEN THAT YOU ARE 🧎🏻♀️
The spice was spicying. They definitely truly fall in love, it’s not the fact that they shouldn’t be together driving it.
Overall, I loved this so much more than au pair affair. The little bits she gave us in that book had me wanting more Chloe and Sig than Tallulah and burgess. I would 100% recommend to read this even if you didn’t love 1 and 2. She’ll have you changing your mind.

I struggled to get through this book and ended up DNF’ing it. I have read other Tessa Bailey books and have enjoyed them but this one wasn’t for me.

4.25 stars out of 5.
Another great story by Tessa Bailey. Both Sig and Chloe had some scenes in the previous book so I was super excited to see how their relationship started. I was immediately drawn into the book and could not put this one down. Their relationship had a lot of ups and downs but the ending was both shocking and satisfying. The reason I did not give this 5 stars was due to how quickly Sig and Chloe fell in love. No doubt they had a lot of chemistry but I would have liked to see more from the relationship. But I guess if you know, you know?! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.
In Dream Girl Drama, Sig is on his way to Connecticut to meet his fathers new girlfriend. His truck ends up dying in the country cub parking lot and as luck would have it, so does his phone. He goes in to try and get a charge but then meets Chloe. She brings him in as her guest and their attraction is immediate. The two split after a passionate kiss with a promise to get together later that night as they both had plans. Sig turns up at his fathers girlfriends house and it just so happens to be Chloe's mother. In a shocking twist, it turns out Sigs dad and Chloes mom are now engaged, so Chloe will be his stepsister.
Chloe is a harp prodigy and has wanted to train in Boston, so she ends up leaving with Sig to go to Boston that night, dismissing her mothers disapproval. She gets her own place and has to try to live on her own while also trying to squash the feelings she has for Sig.
Thank you Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Here’s a slightly disappointed yet still engaging rewrite of your reviews:
I really adored The Au Pair Affair, and every scene featuring Chloe and Sig left me longing for more! Their emotional connection in those brief moments was so palpable, and I truly appreciated how bold Tessa was in writing a female protagonist who is unapologetically ditzy. It adds a unique twist, even if there’s a bit of a caretaker kink that might not be for everyone. Sig, on the other hand, is the ultimate book boyfriend—pure and thoughtful, and I just couldn’t help but adore him!
However, I did feel that Chloe’s character development struggled throughout the story. While Sig shone brightly, I wanted to see more growth from her. And while I’m a fan of rom-coms, I found the ending to be a bit too tidy for my taste. But hey, that's part of the genre!
Overall, it wasn’t my favorite Tessa book, but I believe fans will still cherish the connection between Chloe and Sig. The tension Tessa built in the first half was fantastic—the lingering touches, the stolen moments, and the sweet dynamic were all quintessential Tessa Bailey. Chloe and Sig were everything! Their romance felt authentic and engaging, and the depth of their friendship was beautifully portrayed.
I really enjoyed this story, and I highly recommend it for fans of Tessa Bailey! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Bravo, Tessa! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you Tessa Bailey and Netgalley for the eARC of Dream Girl Drama!
I was so excited to finally read Sig and Chloe's story, and it for not disappoint. This book was wonderful! Amazing chemistry, fun and with banter, and beyond steamy, I could not put it down. This was probably my favorite in the Big Shots series (although they were all awesome)! Thanks again!!!

I would give this 3.5 stars! I always enjoy Tessa Bailey’s books and this wasn’t any different. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sibling aspect of the story and the insta-love as it felt like they were in love without seeing the build-up of falling in love. I enjoyed the previous two books in this series more but still want to read the next book(?) if there is one and will continue to read Tessa Bailey!
Thank you for the ARC!

I adored the Au Pair Affair, and every scene with Chloe and Sig were such a great taste of what could be for their book. They had such an emotive connection even in just those few scenes, and I loved how risky it was for Tessa to write a female protagonist that is veryyyyyy ditzy. There's a bit of a caretaker kink here, so it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Sig is the ultimate book boyfriend. While I think the character of Chloe struggled with development, Sig was so pure and thoughtful, that I just adored him. I do think the ending was a bit too clean, but hey that's roms coms for ya! Overall, not my favorite Tessa book, but fans will still adore Chloe and Sig's connection!

4 solid stars…. The tension Tessa built in the first half…. The lingering touches… the stolen moments…. The sweet dynamic. It was 100% Tessa Bailey at her best. Chloe and Sig were EVERYTHING. Their romance felt so authentic, so engaging… it was just perfect. They were truly best friends that loved each other to the depths of their souls. It was so beautifully written and well done. Just bravo Tessa 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I ate this up. Highly recommend! Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I wanted to start by thanking NetGalley for an eARC of this book. I am always grateful to be approved!
The premise of this story was so good. An up and coming hockey player and rich harpist have a pretty awesome meet cute when his truck breaks down outside of her country club. I was kicking my feet during that scene. Their attraction was so well done on page and the tension was ratcheted up in such a small amount of time.
Past that though… I never really got where they were anything more than lusting after each other. She moves to Boston and is so helpless she can’t even figure out how to buy laundry detergent and he’s stretching himself thin to pay her bills while she buys $700 eye cream instead of paying her rent?! I thought she was going to grow and realize that THINGS didn’t matter as much as him or her dream or like anything but instead she just let him pay for her while he sold off his memorabilia. She was hard to root for and the third person POVs kept me disconnected from both of them. Sig literally had no reason to bend over like that for a lust at first sight meeting.
That being said… the spice was excellent. I love a dirty mouthed hockey player and I found myself committing to reading the entire story just for the s3x.
If you’re someone who loves a man devoted and possessive over his girl (for literally no reason), insta love that feels like a novella, and don’t mind miscommunication trampling the story and plot, then you will love this one. It just wasn’t for me.

2.5 stars
I love Tessa Bailey and have read all of her books and have loved this series up until now. I was so excited for the step brother romance and unfortunately this one did not deliver.
The characters fell flat for men and I found myself more annoyed by them as the book went on. The plot felt repetitive and I was checking out more and more as the story went on. Chloe reminded me of Piper from it happened one summer and she didn't feel original. Sig was fine, as far as Tessa men go he wasn't my favorite.
I wanted to love this book so badly but unfortunately it didn't work for me.

What can I even say about Sig and Chloe?
Full disclosure, I wasn't the biggest fan of The Au Pair Affair so I went into Dream Girl Drama with low expectations, but GOD I loved this book so much. This might just be my new favorite Tessa Bailey book.
I mean, Sig was absolutely great. And yes, sure, she still writes her men with the same Neanderthal qualities and they fall at first sight and are protective AF, BUT GUESS what?? I will eat it up every time. And Sig Gauthier was so tasty.
I expected to not like Chloe as much since she was described to be this manic pixie dream girl that was ditsy and knew nothing about the real world, but I actually ended up really liking her and feeling for her. Especially as she started to see the value of money and appreciate Sig for how he supported her.
This book had so much angst and heart, and I think that's what really made it so special for me. It reminded me more of Unfortunately, Yours and It Happened One Summer, which are high up on my list of Tessa Bailey favorites.
Thank you to the publisher for the ARC, it was the perfect escapism for me this week and I'll cherish it forever.
