I love Tessa Bailey but I feel like this wasn’t her best book. It was fun and I enjoyed the characters and the story just not my favorite. I do enjoy hockey so it’s a good sports romance but my baseball heart hurt at times reading it😂. Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

Chloe and Sig share a romantic night full of sweetness and sparks, only to find out they are soon to be step siblings by marriage. They refuse to let their undeniable connection go to waste, trying to stave off their attraction to each while searching for a way to be together that will not damage their reputations and the goals they are pursuing in their respective fields.
Wow! The definition of insta-love. We started at a 10/10 on the love scale never took our foot off the gas. Maybe a little too far gone, too quickly? I usually like a bit more of a buildup in my romance relationships and this one blasted me in the face pretty much the whole book. Haha. That being said, I still enjoyed Chloe and Sig’s connection and devotion to each other.
I read the previous book in the series and while the books are standalone, reading Au Pair Affair helped provide additional background information about Sig and Chloe that I felt was missing from this book - additional moments of Chloe’s naivety and kindness and Sig’s jumping in to save the day.
Sig’s strawberry pop tart stash really sent me. That is a man obsessed.
“Chloe envisioned a lineup of men, each one a various archetype. A cowboy. A preppy. A biker, even. But they were all just Sig dressed in different outfits. Who besides Sig could make her want to cry and cheer and laugh just by existing?”
They were well and truly gone for each other from day one!
Overall, the book focused most on the couple and their attempts to resist falling for each other due to their impending step sibling status. It was a little angsty, but had many moments of care, devotion, and sweet heat to soften the tension.
I am excited to see where Bailey takes this series with the Rookies and their ladies!

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a Tessa Bailey book and boy have I missed it. While the major conflict separating Sig & Chloe seemed like a non-issue to me initially, I can understand why they felt pressured to keep things platonic. What came from that decision though was the most sizzling sexual tension between our main characters and their chemistry was hands down my favourite thing about this story. The angst was palpable and the love between these two was so visceral, it was impossible not to root for them to find their happily ever after together!
Thank you so much Avon & Harper Voyager for the ARC in exchange for an honest review 🤍

Dream Girl Drama is the story of Stig and Chloe, who fall in love at first sight only to realize that their parents are engaged to be married.
This was my first time reading popular romance author Tessa Bailey, who has written several bestselling series. I was interested in the hockey tie in (Stig is a professional NHL player) - hockey romance is really having a moment, but the plot really focused on the conflict between Stig and Chloe's attraction versus their concern about the taboo of their romance.
The book was a page turner, Bailley keeps it fascinating with the fast paced plot, but I wish the book had discussed more deeply the complexities of modern family life instead of having all the minor characters insist that this relationship was inappropriate and would bring widespread condemnation. I won't reveal the ending, but it did seem to let the characters off the hook too neatly.
This book has prompted me to read others by Bailey, but would not be a reread for me.

Thank you, Avon and the Tessa Bailey team for providing this ARC on election day - this fun, sparkling, joyful story was a necessary escape in anxiety central over here. If you've read the rest of the series, you already know who the main characters are - Sig is confident, capable, sexy and Cloe is fun, joyfully naive and lovable. You can feel the chemistry of the characters, there's wit and charm oozing from both of them and Tessa B's style is easy to read, it flows beautifully. My one complaint was the end - it felt rushed, I wanted to know more about their life, the epilogue was also too short and one sided, I just wanted more of this world please! I hope this series continues with the rest of the hokey players we've met so far and I hope Tessa Bailey continues to do ARCs around the dreadful days of our lives, so we can have a little sunshine in the storm.

TESSA BAILEY, THE WOMAN YOU ARE!!!!!! i'm running laps from all the pent up sexual tension. *faints*

Soooooo much instalust and angst from not being able to be together as they're gonna be step-siblings. But the back and forth got a little tedious.
There were some good, funny parts to this that made it enjoyable, but it wasn't my favourite in the series.
I just didn't understand the main issue as these were adults who met in their 20s before they knew the parents were getting married, so surely this could have been explained and people wouldn't have an issue with it? It's not like they were raised together.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Voyager and Avon for an ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Tessa Bailey always knows how to get me, I’m a sucker for her books. I loved this book I thought it was so cute and Sig was a dream man. This book was so sweet and the characters were perfect! Hockey, forbidden romance, HEA.

So many of Tessa Bailey's books are one-sitting reads, and this one is no different. I laughed! I cried! I fell in love with Sig and Chlo! Tessa returns to her Bellinger Sister roots with the sheltered and wealthy Chloe, and it hits just as hard as Piper and Hannah did. Sig is unhinged and feral for Chloe -- just how I like my hockey-playing MMCs. A great installment in the Big Shots series. Thanks to Avon/Harper Voyager and NetGalley for the ARC

2.5/5
I normally enjoy Tessa Bailey and was looking forward to reading about this couple after the first 2 books in the series. As per usual with Tessa Bailey, the chemistry was fire, but I was sorely disappointed by the plot and the main characters. This book was not my cup of tea.
Sig is a burly hockey player with a heart of gold and a big blind spot named Chloe. Honestly, I felt like Sig deserved better. After literally meeting her for 30 minutes, he immediately decides his whole life revolves around her (???).
What I did not enjoy about this book: Chloe. I do respect her for having the guts to pave her own path away from her wealthy and sheltered upbringing...but she really left a coddled life to again be coddled. Chloe played the helpless girl trope to a T with no life skills of her own. It bugged me that she didn't blink an eye when Sig offered to and paid for everything, including her expensive-af apartment and groceries, and she was out here spending his money on eye cream and Sephora while the man was actually struggling financially. I guess getting a job isn't a thing for her as a 25-year-old woman?
There were a couple of moments where I really felt for Sig and his pain over this forbidden love and there are steamy scenes that we expect from Tessa Bailey, but I ultimately just could not get over my annoyance with Chloe to really enjoy this one.
Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dream Girl Drama is instalove to the nth degree. We’re talking page one, SENTENCE one. These two love birds are codependent to an almost toxic degree. Did any of this stop me from having a great time? No, no it did not.
The conflict was laughable. The FMC’s helplessness was supposed to be quirky, but comes off as more irritating than anything. That said, Tessa Bailey has a gift for dialogue and pulling a reader in. It’s silly, it’s fun, it’s escapism at its finest.
Let go of reality and enjoy the ride. The spicy scenes are top tier as always.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper for the ARC in an exchange for an honest review!

This is definitely the best in this series! Forbidden romance at its best with soon to step siblings meeting and forming an immediate connection, let me just say the build up was ✨👩🍳🌶️ hockey player meets musician prodigy with some definite territorial masculine energy. Can we also talk about how cute the actual book is with the sprayed edges, absolutely going on my trophy shelf!

This was 4 stars for me!
I loved the chemistry between Sig and Chloe. Did they fall hard for each other too fast? Eh, maybe but they fought to be together too.
I enjoyed the development of the story and their battles to be together but I also feel like the plot is repetitive. Either way, I enjoyed the story and the characters. Loved seeing other characters from Tessa's stories make appearances and of course the hockey was a plus.
Chloe is a strong minded character and I liked her development as she found her Independence. Sig was also a character that found his heart as Chloe entered his life and I think his character prospered as he fell in love.
I definitely recommend this one to anyone who loves TB's writing and characters. The banter and comedy in this one was chef's kiss and I love a HEA.

I love Tessa Bailey for every story of hers I have read but this one broke me. I cannot give it 5 stars purely for the fact it gave me relentless anxiety and burst my heart through my chest. I have never and will never be a fan of “insta love” but I may not be able to say that again after reading this. Chloe, while nothing like me, felt like I would want her to be my best friend and Sig is the kind of passionate man I would give my life up for. And then there was the filth….Tessa (if I may have the privilege of calling her) writes the best of it but this was something else. I will buy every copy and special edition I can find.

This was a swoony romance that I had been waiting for! Sig and Chloe were a great couple and I loved how despite her chaos, Sig was fully devoted to her. Their personalities were great and chemistry off the charts. Tessa Bailey is a go to author for me.

4.25⭐️
Omg! This was a roller coaster of emotions for me! Instant connection- I’m glad that we were able to see their complicated relationship from the start (only knowing a little from Abraham and Talulah’s story)! Sig I imagine is just as dreamy as Sir Savage…
The twist? I don’t want to say, but I’m slightly mad at it! Why did no one say anything?! … I mean, I guess then there would be no story but still! 🤭

Tessa Bailey has done it again! The tension was so thick I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! I could not read this book fast enough! Sig and Chloe had such great chemistry and banter. I dare say this is my favorite Tessa Bailey book to date. I loved most of the characters and loved to hate the rest! I also loved that there was no miscommunication between Sig and Chloe throughout the book. Here’s to hoping we get books featuring Corrigan and Mailer!
Thank you to Netgally and Avon Harper Voyager for providing this ARC.

After reading (and enjoying) both Fangirl Down and the Au Pair Affair, I had high hopes for Dream Girl Drama. Let me just say that Tessa Bailey did not let me down!
Chloe Clifford is a prodigy harpist that’s lived a very sheltered (and affluent) lifestyle under her mother’s control. Sig Gauthier is one of hockey’s biggest stars on the Boston Bearcats team. One look at each other and they knew they had found their soulmate. The only problem? Their parents (Sig’s dad and Chloe’s mom) are engaged to be married, making the two future step siblings. When Chloe moves to Boston to study at Berklee, Sig quickly takes her under his wing and shows her everything the city has to offer. The more time the two spend together, the harder it becomes to just stay friends. With their parents’ wedding looming closer and with more eyes following their “friendship,” Sig’s hockey career and Chloe’s Boston Orchestra aspirations fall into jeopardy. Will fate continue conspiring to keep the two apart, or will Sig and Chloe finally get their happily ever after?
I’ll be the first to admit that insta love/insta lust books are not my favorite. I usually try to avoid them altogether. But this book? This book had me changing my mind. I don’t know how Tessa did it but she made me really invested in Sig and Chloe despite their immediate attraction. I think I’m a fan of Tessa Bailey’s brand of insta love!
Also, the pining and angst in this book were top tier! There was so much “will they/wont they” tension between Chloe and Sig, and I was here for it. I also loved the growth of Chloe’s character and how encouraging Sig was in her confidence building. He jumped up the list of my top Tessa Bailey book boyfriends.
Overall, this was such a fun book! I’ve really enjoyed the Big Shots series and I cannot wait for book 4! Make sure to preorder Dream Girl Drama or request from your library! Come next February, you won’t be disappointed.
A huge thank you to Netgalley and Avon for the ARC!

I was so excited to have gotten approved for this! I was also approved for the previous book in the series and delighted in it. This was Bailey’s typical hit in her stories. I’ve already preordered my copy now! So excited to be able to reread this when it officially releases!
