Ooh the tension in this is goooooodd. That first chapter is off with a BANG and then you just cannot help but want the characters to finally get together. Some of Baileys spicy scenes in other books are cringy but I enjoyed how these were written even when the characters could walk away before anything actually happened 🔥 Sure the book isn’t full of depth and the character ARCs aren’t perfect but we read Baileys books for the romance, let’s be real.
I received an advance review copy for free from the publisher via Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Did I dislike this? Yes.
Am I still going to read every book Tessa Bailey puts out? Also yes.
I have been dragging my feet on this book for weeks. I (gratefully) received an arc via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review, so I was able to start a little bit before the release date.
I stalled out around 20% and ended up listening to the audiobook once it was released to make it more entertaining. Loved the Teddy Hamilton was one of the narrators.
This felt icky and not in the way that you would expect, but more in the way that Sig acted as a caretaker/guardian over Chloe, who was portrayed incredibly juvenile and ditzy, unable to do anything for herself. I know that going into all of Tessa Bailey's books there will be a MMC who is really down bad for the FMC instantly. The intro of Sig and Chloe meeting was actually pretty cute and entertaining, but then the book just skips forward five months without any detail and lacks development.
I just wish it had a little more emotional connection but there wasn't any depth because Chloe was basically portrayed as a dependent of Sig.
As an aside -- I loved the teaser of Corrigan and Skylar during the baseball game and will be reading their book when it comes out.

I always admire Tessa Bailey's capacity for taking risks with her writing. Sometimes those risks pay off, sometimes they don't,but I am happy to say, Dream Girl Drama is one of those wins.
"Step brother" is not one of those tropes I am ever interested, but Tessa Bailey was able to create a slow burn and resolution worthy of her wining writing style.
Sig and Clo won me over with their certainty in their feelings.
If you enjoy slow burn,he falls first, sports romances, this is a definitely winner!

Tessa's spiciest book yet! I loved the into dynamic to these two in The Au Pair Affair. Who knew Sig's perfect dream girl would end up being his soon to be step sister. These two were H.O.T!

This book was super cute! I always love a good Tessa book. I was captured from the first moment of these two. I loved how they grew together because we all want something where we grow together. I think everyone should read this right now! I don't even have the words to describe how this book made me feel. The characters were relatable and I love that in books. I had a sneaking suspension about the whole parent thing when they were heading there but nevertheless I loved it!

Tessa Bailey is by far one of my favorite authors and each book just gets better and better. Her last two books featured Sig and Chloe in bits and pieces of the book. Pro hockey player and future step sis? Sounds weird right? Yet so good and so steamy in the best ways.

While I admit the step siblings element kept me interested as to how the story played out. I felt that the story was too formulaic and mimicked the first two books in the series - friction to falling in love, falling in love, third act drama, then happily ever after. This was the only element that was a drawback for me, and unfortunately, it was a big one.
I will say, I continue to enjoy the banter and characters in the Big Shots series. While I loved Wells in the first book, I am all aboard the Bearcats train! The hockey team and the diverse personas kept this book fun for me! I am excited for the next installment in this series.
Also, I feel like if someone read this book alone rather than all of the series, it would be a 5 star!
As always thank you for allowing me a chance to read this book and provide my honest feedback!

Thank you NetGalley and Avon/ Harper Voyager for an eARC in exchange for an honest review! I haven’t read one of Tessa Bailey’s books for a hot minute and boy oh boy was that a mistake! I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t really sure where this book was going at first when I read the synopsis, but after that first chapter I was hooked! Sig Gauthier the man that you are 😍 I really need to find myself a hockey player because every single one I read about I become more obsessed 😂 Dream Girl Drama was the perfect combination of banter, humor, spice, and as it clearly states in the name drama and I was living for every single second! I need to go back and read au pair affair asap! Can’t wait for what Tessa has in store for us next with Corrigan and Skylar!

You will love Dream Girl Drama if you love:
forbidden romance
future stepsiblings
insta love & spice
sports romance
Tessa has done it again! The Big Shots series just keeps getting better and better! This is 100% my favorite book from the series. This was such a fun read and SIG????? PHEW!!! Im obsessed. The chemistry between Sig and Chloe? Unmatched.
I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
Thank you Avon Books & Netgalley for this ARC!

I wanted so badly to love this book but it just didn’t live up to my expectations. The instant-lust & supportive cast was great and exactly what I’d expect from a Tessa Bailey book.

Another amazing book from Tessa Bailey, love the story and the couple. Great pacing and some funny moments

I have to start this off by saying I’ve loved this series and almost every book I’ve read by Tessa Bailey. This one unfortunately wasn’t a love story for me, more like a like story maybe?
Sig and Chloe unexpectedly have an adorable meet cute at a country club that seems to be leading somewhere spicy BUT they soon find out they’re about to be step-siblings. And apparently that’s a problem. I’m not going to lie…I read step-sibling romances that are way more taboo than this so I had an impossible time understanding why this was such a big deal lol maybe that was a personal problem but I truly was like why are two adults who met as adults and happen to have parents getting married fighting for their lives to do the dirty?!? Like make it make sense to me!
Anyways other than THAT issue…I enjoyed the meet cute, I enjoyed their banter, and I melted during the spicy scenes. This book had so much going for it really…but I couldn’t get over the silliness of them not being able to be together because of their parents. Maybe this would have been a solid 4 stars for me if I didn’t read taboo for a living 🙃 Alas, I’m not that kinda gal so this is getting a 3.75 stars from me.

Absolutely obsessed with these two!! My new favorite Tessa Bailey book. Sig and Chloe had amazing chemistry and I am obsessed with their dynamics and banter. Sig is the sweetest MMC and so caring. I can't wait to see this series continue forward.

Tessa Bailey has done it again.
Chloe and Sig had an electric love at first sight encounter, that is until they discovered they are soon to be step siblings.
This love at first sight romance quickly turns into a forbidden love situation.
Sig makes it his mission to help Chloe’s dreams come true and get her out from under her controlling mother.
What they do for each other. How they show up for one another. How they communicate with each other is so perfect and how people who love each other make a relationship work and healthy.
If your man doesn’t think about you like Sig thinks about Chloe don’t even think about it.
Honestly one of myy favorite scenes is with the rookies in the diner. I loved the interactions and banter between them.
5 stars!

Sig and Chloe meet by chance and fall for each other instantly. They both are running late for plans they have and part ways to meet later, only to find out that both of their plans are the same… to meet their respective parents for dinner where the find out they are getting married. Dun Dun Dun… they are future step siblings! Chloe grew up in a very sheltered luxurious lifestyle and wants to go off on her own.. Sig helps her with this but they agree they need to do it platonically. The rest of the book is a super slow burn, forbidden love, he financially supports her, but each are there for each other etc.
This book is an easy, fun read, that had me wanting to keep coming back for more. Contemporary romance can sometimes take me a while to get into, but this one had me hooked from the beginning. I loved that Sig would do anything for Chloe (even tho they just met which was a little odd). I also liked that even though it was instant love, this book took place over a few months/year so the relationship didn’t feel rushed and like they were saying I love you on day two.
Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Publisher and Tessa Bailey for this free ARC copy. This is my voluntary review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sig and Chloe were so perfect together, even though they probably shouldn't have been. Sig is a man who knows what he wants and is working to get it. Chloe knows she wants something different, but isn't sure what it is or how to get it.
This book was about the relationship between them, but also about the ways in which the people in your life can show you what is missing or at least help you find the path to the things that you now learn are missing. Add in the amazing relationship between them, and the heat that Ms. Bailey always has in her titles, and this title worked well.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

This was my first book by Tessa Bailey. I will be going back to read the first two books in this series. I was starting to get concerned for the characters towards the end (94%). This is the first book I've read where I was thinking the story wasn't going to work out. Themes/tropes in this book include insta love, hockey romance, forbidden love, musician prodigy and future stepsiblings.

3.5 stars
NHL player Sig’s truck breaks down outside of an exclusive Connecticut country club, and he meets Chloe. Love at first sight. But what they don’t know is that their parents are engaged to be married and that makes their romance forbidden. Chloe is a phenom harp player, and Sig plays for the Boston NHL team. They manage to keep their romance mostly platonic, but it’s nearly impossible for them to resist each other. When they both get ultimatums from their professions, they must separate.
I liked this book overall, but the writing of Chloe was a bit grating at times. Tessa Bailey makes her so childlike and naive. Also, Sig slobbering all over Chloe during one part was not the best. However, it was an enjoyable book overall.
Thank you Avon Books & Netgalley for a copy of this book

DREAM GIRL DRAMA is the third installment in the Big Shots series. I was super excited for this one because I loved how Sig and Chloe were featured in book two.
DREAM GIRL DRAMA is a cute, quick read — but it ended up missing the mark for me and, in my opinion, didn’t hit like the first two books in the series. I really loved Sig and Chloe’s “meet cute” at the beginning, but from that point it was too insta lovey for me 😕 I know that this is probably just a “me” problem since I’m not a big fan of the insta love trope!!
I loved the crazy family dynamics and how protective Sig was with Chloe’s heart. The main characters had great banter and were easy to root for!

I’m excited for the next book in this series to release in September!!

I loved it! Tessa Bailey is a treasure. She can take a romance and make it funny, while at the same time steamy, while at the same time relatable. Sig and Chloe were perfect together! I loved watching Chloe coming into her own person, I loved watching Sig try to protect her while she was growing and changing. I loved how he fought for her. I didn't see how their obstacle would fix itself, so it also surprised me. Overall steam and delightful! I can't wait for the next book in the series!
