This was an okay read for me. I'm usually a huge (almost every Tessa Bailey books I've reviewed are 4 & 5 star reads) Tessa Bailey fan. This one, I didn't love the typical a younge blonde girl had to be a "ditzy blonde" stereotype. So I had a hard time connecting to this one. It was okay.

The characters were insufferable. The plot was stupid. The entire drama part was that Chloe's mother was going to marry Sig's father. Apparently being step siblings at 25 and 29 respectively is a taboo subject for literally everyone in this book. Again step siblings, which means no relation. Would not recommend. Wish I never read this in the first place.

Tessa Bailey certainly knows how to draw you in. I couldn’t put this book down trying to figure out how it would all end.
Having read The Au Pair Affair, and being introduced to Sig and Chloe, it only added to the anticipation of getting to read Dream Girl Drama. A pro at romance story telling, Tessa hits all the tropes: sports romance, forbidden romance, insta love, and excellent smut.
I will admit to being turned off of the naiveness of Chloe, but I truly ended the book enjoyed her character development. And Sig, *chef’s kiss*. Who can resist the “I can fit it” man.
Overall, this was such a fun read and well worth the ups and downs. I can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC!
I had no issues with the book or Tessa's writing, but I just cannot get behind the step sibling romance thing

This book was o so good. Tessa Bailey does not disappoint 😍 I never expected her to write a sports romance like this.

📖 Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey
Wow, if you're looking for a romance filled with sizzling chemistry, amazing character development, and an unpredictable plot – Dream Girl Drama is exactly what you need! 🌟
This book had me laughing, swooning, and totally hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between Sig (the famous hockey player) and Chloe (the talented musician) is off-the-charts. And when they find out that what seemed like a passionate romance could turn into something way more complicated – because they’re going to be step-siblings – it adds even more tension and heat to the story! 😱🔥
Tessa Bailey’s writing, as always, is absolutely on point – every word hits just right. She perfectly combines everything I love: humor, real passion, and characters I can’t help but root for. I honestly can’t wait for the next book in the series!
💬 If you love romances with tons of chemistry, an impossible love story, and humor with heart – Dream Girl Drama is the book for you!
📚 Tropes:

I actually think this is the first time I’ve ever rated a book one star. I hated every second of this, and I only finished it because I was gifted a free copy to review.
To begin with, the entire plot is based around the conflict of how ~scandalous~ it is for two GROWN ADULTS who met as GROWN ADULTS to enter a relationship after their parents got together. Did I mention they are GROWN ADULTS? It makes absolutely no sense for anyone to care that they are “step-siblings” when they did not grow up together and have no familial relationship whatsoever. I’m not even going to go into how stupid the conflict resolution was. Just trust me that it does not absolve the ridiculousness of the premise that anyone would care that these GROWN ADULTS got together when their parents were together.
Honestly, I could buy this premise as a setup. Sure, we’re in a fake world where that matters. But the actual relationship itself was one of the most insane dynamics I have seen put to paper in my life. The constant infantilization of the FMC by everyone else was gross enough, but by the MMC?? Oh boy. Why is this man thinking about her as a child to care for and also wanting to be with her? Everyone involved in this situation needs a hefty dose of therapy and possibly jail time.
The ONLY - and I genuinely mean only - saving grace were the side characters of the hockey team. They really carried this book for me.
Genuinely baffled by this entire book. Thank you NetGalley and Avon for the advanced copy to review!

Still love these characters but not quite as much as book 2. I wish we got to see Burgees and Talulah a little bit more. The drama in this was good and I was invested throughout. I should have seen the solution coming but it definitely took me by surprise and I love that! Can't wait for the next book to see how our Rookie is!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Sig & Chloe’s story is finally here and it did not disappoint!
Their chemistry was off the charts! I loved their banter too! This was such a fun read!
If you love sports romances and spicy future step siblings, this one is for you!
Tessa Bailey knocked it out of the park again!

Thank you to NetGalley, Tessa Bailey, and Avon Harper & Voyager for this ARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*Reviewed on NetGalley, Amazon, and Goodreads.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! DGD is everything I love in a romance, with just the right dose of forbidden romance to keep me flipping pages when I should've already been asleep.
Sig and Chloe are the true definition of Love at First Sight! From their first moonlit kiss (swoon) to every hilarious, heartwarming, and awkward moment that follows, I was completely hooked. Tessa once again delivers her signature charm and steamy tension. The “oh no, you’re going to be my stepsister” twist? Perfection. It brought the perfect amount of drama and emotion without ever losing the humor or heart. Watching them fight their feelings while growing closer made the payoff sooooo much better.
And let’s be honest: if Tessa Bailey writes it, I’m going to read it. No questions asked. Her books never miss, and this one might just be my favorite yet.

Predictable and over-the-top, but the steam factor is off the charts. Come for the chaos, stay for the absolutely unhinged bedroom scenes.

I usually LOVE everything by Tessa Bailey but this one fell a bit flat for me... it started out strong... was steamy funny and hopeful but then it just got tedious and a bit boring...

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC! I adored Fangirl Down, and I’m happy to say I really enjoyed Dream Girl Drama too! Chloe is a woman after my own heart. She tells stories in circles, brings chaos with her wherever she goes, eats pop tarts every morning, and spontaneously adopts dogs. She’s just like me fr. Sig is the simpiest simp to ever simp, as he should be. I love a man who knows what he wants and makes it happen no matter the consequences. The third act breakup was a bit difficult to get through, but I’m glad I pushed through, because I was satisfied with the ending.

🏒₊˚⊹♡ Oh Tessa Bailey has done it again I fear.
I've been on a slump sort of... but I knew I wanted to read this before it came out. And you know what? I finished it in like a day. I COULDN'T STOP!!! It was so good yall. I fell in love with it so quickly, from the first few chapters. It has that vibe of fun, romantic, emotional that every single Tessa book has. But in this one, you get more than that; you get a story with angst, so MUCH PINING AND YEARNING, and the story of two people who found their soulmate but can't do anything about it.
I seriously cried very early on. The agony of them not being able to be together, Tessa writes it wonderfully. I was suffering, in pain, alongside them. You just want them together forever. It does feature insta-love, so if you're not a fan, I say skip it. They know they are each other's person since the night they meet and they want to marry each other immediately. Of course, they find out her mom and his dad are getting married in eight months so everything gets complicated.
I feel like I still adore Fangirl Down and think it's the best of the three books in the Big Shots series, but this one? This one is a close second. I wouldn't be surprised if some days Fangirl Down is my number one and the others Dream Girl Drama is number one lmao. They have my heart, my soul, my all.
For readers who love romance, girly girls who love spending money, obsessed hockey boys who are down bad for the heroines, cute dogs, angst, and a little bit of forbidden romance, get this as soon as it releases ✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚

There were things I liked and things I didn’t. I do love a good Tessa Bailey book and how easy they are to fly through and the spice is A+ but I could not get past the Bimbo FMC. She was just too helpless and acted to stupid for me to handle it. Other than that it was good.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!

If you know me, I love a good hockey romance book, and this is one genre I cannot say no to, and this book came close to it. I enjoyed various parts of it, although some resonated with me more than others.
From the very beginning, the attraction and chemistry between Sig and Chloe were palpable. I appreciated that Sig was consistently there for Chloe, guiding her through challenges, and their banter added so much to the story.
Overall, it was a good read. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

Was it just me or did Chloe kind of suck? She was such a child. Couldn’t get into this one so I had to DNF it. Couldn’t stop thinking “what did this girl do to deserve this kind of love and dedication from this man”? Hopefully the book got better but I was half way in and still not feeling it. 🤷♀️

I’ve loved all the books in this sports romance series so far, but this might be my favorite. The premise was a bit odd “step sibling romance” but I love how it all played out.

I could not wait to dig in to Sig and Chloe’s book. I was looking forward to the tension and obvious chemistry they shared. But while I do think the chemistry was still there, the tension seemed a little lackluster. It was miscommunication the sake of drama and one conversation would have cleared up the whole book.
I think I was also expecting more playfulness like we saw in Au Pair Affair between the two of them - where she tempts and flirts with him and he is crazy possessive and saves her from dudes in bars. And while we got a little of that, this story was mostly centered around Chloe and her crazy lifestyle.
I enjoyed the story and will definitely be continuing the series, but it wasn’t my favorite of the Big Shots.

Tess Bailey never misses with her books. This meet cute was the perfect romance. The chemistry was undeniable and I loved every second.
