Sometimes you just need an unhinged, smutty book. This is that book.
In typical Tessa Bailey fashion, there are definitely some cringe lines that make you cover your face in second hand embarrassment. But overall, I had a good time reading this.

When Tessa Bailey brings her A-game her books hit just right. The previous books in her Big Shots series really felt like they were all building up to this one. The chemistry between our leads, Sig and Chloe, was palpable in the previous two books and off the charts in this one. Tessa Bailey is branching into "taboo" with a potential step-sibling romance storyline but she toes the line perfectly. There's enough to make their relationship feel forbidden but it doesn't ever feel wrong. I particularly enjoyed the way Bailey shook things up at the end, which to be honest, I didn't see coming! Tessa's signature dirty talk is as hot as ever and she also manages to make Chloe, a seemingly superficial archetype in the first two books, into a full fledged character in her own story. Tessa is in her prime and I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series.

A powerful, well-researched story that draws you in from the start. A compelling and rewarding read from cover to cover

Love some Tessa Bailey books! This one was a very quick read, and while it is #3 in the Big Shots series, it can be read as a stand-alone for sure. Loved the chemistry between Sig and Chloe. Although, Chloe reads very young-- I was shocked she was 25! Literally had to go back and make sure I saw that correctly. That said, insta-love is typically not my favorite trope, but TB makes it entertaining enough!

I enjoyed Dream Girl Drama! I was really looking forward to this story after reading Big Shots 1 and 2.
I feel like Chloe is different than how I perceived her in The Au Pair Affair (not a bad thing). Sig is the definition of if he wanted to he would!
The book’s beginning really sucked me in and I loved Chloe and Sig’s chemistry from their first encounter at the country club. The book definitely has a vibe of insta love and obsession but I have to remind myself that there were months and months of Chloe and Sig growing in their friendship. It really turned into months and months of yearning for each other. The tension!!! Definitely serving forbidden love.
We get some spice (bc duh it’s Tessa Bailey) and a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. A good and fun read where you’ll be rooting for Sig and Chloe the whole time.

A HUGE thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to receive this ARC. Tessa Bailey's writing is delightful and this book is no exception. It's a romantic comedy that makes you laugh out loud and tear up when your new favorite characters realize flaws in themselves and their families that they never noticed. The chemistry between the main characters is sizzling and a will they won't they, and of course they will. This is the third book in this series, but it stands alone. If you want to read the other books (and you should) you will find these characters mixed in their stories. You should definitely spend your Valentine's Day reading this book. You can devour it in a sitting!

Dream Girl Drama is the eagerly awaited story of Sig and Chloe, who were first introduced in The Au Pair Affair.
The chemistry between Sig and Chloe is instant and magnetic, and they a share passionate moonlit make out session at the country club before realizing hours later that their parents are engaged. The looming complication of their soon-to-be family ties and the slow-burn tension is delicious and keeps you hooked.
Chloe is a gifted young musician who’s been sheltered and indulged her whole life (a spoiled princess), but throughout the book, her character grows and matures. Sig is a professional hockey player who grew up with nothing. He’s incredibly generous with Chloe, lavishing her with attention and care, treating her like a queen while working hard to be there for her in every possible way. He helps Chloe become a true independent person while not crossing the line of letting his true feelings get in the way until their undeniable feelings and attraction take over.
I absolutely adore and will read anything Tessa Bailey writes, and this book didn’t disappoint. I was very entertained and can’t wait for the next sports romance!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon | Harper Voyager for the advanced copy!

I LOVED IT.
It's insta-love at its finest, which usually isn't my jam but I love Tessa Bailey and she just knows how to do it. While the FMC's personality may be reminiscent of our favorite Ballinger sister from one of Bailey's other books, that happens to be a character I absolutely loved so I'm fine with it. I love a grumpy x sunshine as well and this fits that trope to a tee. The dialogue is great, the banter is bantering, and the slow burn is burning. This book follows grumpy azz Sig, a hockey player who becomes whipped without so much as laying an eye on the FMC, Chloe. If that isn't for you, then skip this one, but I am absolutely here for it. Sig and Chloe run into some significant family drama that, of course, can be cleared up with better communication on Sig and Chole's family's parts, but this is a book and not real life so just enjoy the angst, heartbreak, smut, sappiness, and hockey (but not overbearing hockey where there's entire chapters devoted to describing every single thing that happens in a game). It's AMAZING and I think Tessa Bailey totally nailed this one. Can't wait for what comes next!

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I was pretty pumped to start this as I'm a big Tessa Bailey fan. Her books are fun, the characters are interesting and there's usually a slight twist I don't expect. Dream Girl Drama was no exception!
This is the third book in the Big Shots series, but can easily be read as a standalone. We meet Chloe and Sig in The Au Pair Affair and their story is eluded to, but no details are shared. This book starts with how they met one evening, had incredible chemistry and then a few hours later discover their parents are engaged. Here is the conflict - they're about to become step siblings. This is a thread throughout the book, and at times, seems to be a bigger deal than it would be in reality. (But if you're looking for reality in your romance books that's a whole other issue, in my opinion!)
The chemistry and tension between Chloe and Sig is palpable. Their connection is intense in the very best way! As usual, Tessa (we're on a first name basis, right?) writes the spicy spice and her readers will not be disappointed. That being said, the plot isn't overshadowed by it at all.
Some favorites from other books in the series make appearances with "the rookies" being my favorites. Bonus points for Pierre the bulldog since I'm a sucker for a great pet side character!
Already looking forward to the next in the series. It was set up beautifully and looks to be another fun read!

This was a cute, fast paced read. I have read other TB books so I was so excited to get this ARC. This is book 3 in this series, but was easily read as a stand alone. I will be sure to go back and read the others. Sig is a professional hockey player (my first hockey romance) and Chloe a rich, sheltered harpist. The characters have an instalove connection, which personally I’m not a huge fan of. I found Chloe to be hard to relate to and a bit childish. Sig would do anything for her - which also irritated me at times with how she lacked any common sense for all he did for hers . I do think TB still did a great job with the slow burn, even with the instalove between the two which made me really like the story. Is it my favorite TB book - no. Did I still find it a fun read - absolutely.
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I love the Big Shots series, and this one did not disappoint! Special thanks to #netgalley for the ARC. I loved Sig & Chloe’s story, and was pleased to see the character development. I wasn’t sure how I would like it, because in the second book, their relationship seemed so weird and superficial. But I’m so glad I stuck it out!

I really enjoyed this book! Sig might be one of my favorite MMC’s in a very long time. I was a little worried after the Au Pair Affair that Chloe would get on my nerves, but she didn’t at all - I found her to be very endearing! This book started out so strong with their meeting and initial interactions. I also really enjoyed them getting to know each other. I was worried how the book would end, and while I did find the end to be slightly predictable once I got there, it does seem like the only possible ending.
This book is one of my favorite Tessa Bailey books, if not my favorite!

❤️❤️Review Below❤️❤️. TLDR: Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey 4 🌟 Dream Girl Drama is book 3 in Bailey’s Big Shot series but could be read as a stand alone with no problem. Sig, a big burly hockey player, and Chloe, a ditzy debutante cello player, have a meet cute and you immediately know there’s gonna be some 🌶️ ahead. But then the unexpected hits: they realize their respective parents are engaged to be married. The book has dual POV and follows them as they try to figure out how to have a future together while working through the drama of hockey contracts and breaking away from family control. The book has Tessa Bailey’s unmistakeable banter and real connection between characters. The only inconsistency to me was at times I felt Chloe was portrayed as super capable and mature and at other times was portrayed the exact opposite. I felt this dichotomy was more pronounced if you had read the second book in the series; but was still noticeable in just this one. Expect some 🌶️ on par with other books from Bailey and be prepared to fall even more in love with this series. Is it too soon to hope the orgasm donor rookies get their own books?!😅❤️

Unfortunately, this just wasn’t it for me. If you’re a fan of friends to lovers, love at first sight, “touch her and you die” vibes, and Tessa Bailey I’m sure you’ll love this.
The characters just felt immature to me and suddenly changing everything in your life after knowing someone for 2 hours was a little far fetched for me. The protective relationship of Sig felt more possessive than anything, and Chloe just felt naive. I hate that I didn’t love this book but thankful to have been given the opportunity to read it ahead of the release!

I received this ARC rather surprisingly, but I’m super glad I did. I have a love/loathe relationship with TB. Her books are often written pretty well (by well, I mean easy to read and not clunky) and the premises are good for the genre. The issue I have is that I find myself thinking that she had a 22 year old man help her write the MMC because they are a little ridiculous. I have read a LOT of men written by women, but never have I been absolutely impressed with how silly TBs men are. They are often a little bit of a parody of an adult. A teenager with a career more often than not. Not to say that is a problem! There is space in romance for guys like this. I just don’t know that I find it particularly attractive.
That’s why, when I read the first book in the Big Shots series I was pleasantly surprised. The MMC was grumpy and hot and not at all cringey the way some of her other guys have been. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between the main characters. I was super excited for the second book, the Au Pair affair, but alas I was mildly disappointed. Sometimes a girl can’t get past cringey dialogue.
So when I began reading ARCs and saw this book, I was nervous. The premise was good and smutty but that’s exactly why I was cautious going into it. I received the ARC and sat on it for a few months because I didn’t want the disappointment from my experience with the second book to hinder my impression of this one.
So I started this book yesterday and had a hard time going to sleep last night (ON NYE!) because I wanted to keep reading. It starts out strong with an adorable meet cute and undeniable chemistry.
Then, they find out their awful parents (one an absent father and the other an asshole controlling mother) are engaged to be married. Immediately, they both make every single possible decision poorly and create the “drama” in the title.
Listen, I know that a books premise will sometimes be ridiculous. That isn’t the issue here. The issues are a plenty. First, he immediately babies Chloe to the point that their initial encounter seems like a fever dream. I get that she was controlled by her mom. But she seemed resourceful at jump and is suddenly very much in need of assistance with everything. She seemed responsible, albeit rebellious. Yet she his endless makeup and face cream in lieu of paying rent timely?
At first, I was okay with how Sig spoiled Chloe and took such tender care of her. But eventually it became babying.
Then, instead of dodging rumors and just straight up lying to protect their weird behavior, they give half truths to everyone who has suspicions about their relationship. So unnecessary.
I can say I was thrilled that the twist at the end came to be as a surprise. I usually anticipate how a HEA comes to be, and I didn’t see this coming.
I appreciated how TB navigated the end in a satisfying way. complexities of their forbidden relationship.
This book was ultimately enjoyable and nearly unputdownable, despite my hangups above.

This is definitely my favorite of the series! Chloe and Sig’s story and chemistry is absolutely top tier. I felt like both of their characters were super relatable and easy to fall in love with. I hope the next book is about Reese!

5/5!!!! this is my favorite Tessa Bailey book ever! the yearning was strong and i hung onto every word. I found the pacing to be done well and the comedic aspects were top tier for me.
I cannot wait to get a physical copy of this upon release!! thank you for this arc.

Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey
A steamy encounter between Sig and Chloe takes a wild turn when they find out their parents are engaged.
The chemistry between Sig and Chloe was wild. But unfortunately they will now be step siblings.
I couldnt put this down. The drama and tension made the book so interesting. The whole story was very interesting.
I feel so lucky to have received an ARC of this book. I love a good romance book with some drama! I’d definitely recommend this book! I’m looking forward to reading more of Tessa’s books Thank you so much NetGalley, Tessa Bailey and Avon and Harper Voyager for the ARC!!

Are we surprised Tessa Bailey's upcoming book is a 5 star read? No, absolutely not.
In the next Big Shots book, we get to witness the beautiful and heart-wrenching nittygritty of Sig and Chloe's relationship. There is so much more depth now than what was alluded in the previous book, and I absolutely loved this story.
The one spoiler I'll say is - this is so worth it. I was on the edge of my seat with worry, genuinely feeling anxiety and upset, but now i'm choked up and so happy. So, just trust the Tessa Bailey magic.
I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series! A HUGE thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to get to read this ARC 🙌

Tessa Bailey isn't my favorite contemporary romance author (that tiara belongs to Ali Hazelwood), but I have to admit that her books can be pretty fun and addictive. The Big Shots series is the only one of her interconnected standalones that I've truly enjoyed, and this entry into the series is a worthy one. (However, if it wasn't already apparent, it should be noted that this book does have a trigger for pseudo-incest.) Fangirl Down remains my favorite, but I enjoyed this one a bit more than The Au-Pair Affair. Sig just doesn't have the admirable character growth that Wells Whittaker did, and Chloe just isn't Josephine Doyle. Plot wise, though, this one was my favorite of the three. The will-they-won't-they tension, the family drama, and the forbidden love trope all wrapped up into one pretty book package made this such an enjoyable and entertaining read for me.
