Like all Tessa Bailey books, I loved this one. Finally, getting Sig and Chole's story was amazing. It was a bit heart-wrenching at times, but it was mixed with a whole lot of spice, some very funny bits, and, of course, one hell of a love story. I loved that the story started back when they actually met, so we got to see the whole story of their relationship unfolding. Thank you, NetGalley, for the eARC. 5 stars.

Very cute slow burn hockey romance. Loved the chemistry and relationship between Sig and Chloe. He was so supportive in letting Chloe figure out how to be her own person and survive in Boston. Definitely teared up a bit towards the end. Such a good book to end the year on.

Have enjoyed this series thus far and liked hearing Sig’s story. Sometimes it was too much ‘will they or won’t they’ but ultimately enjoyed the happy ending and epilogue.

Thank you, Netgalley and Tessa Bailey, for the opportunity to e-ARC read this book!
I will preface this by saying that I love Tessa Bailey and have always enjoyed her books! This book was a hit with some misses for me.
Hit:
Hot damn 🥵 the tension between Sig and Chloe could be cut with a knife in this book. The yearning, the going over the moon for her, just *swoon*
The spice was SPOICEY. I was surprised by the amount of spice in the book honestly, but you won't find me complaining about it!
Plot line was fun, almost taboo, Chloe and Sig are step-siblings to be, and after a whirlwind of an introduction, they are inseparable. Sig helps Chloe reestablish herself in a new city while she begins her career as a harpist, harper, harpey... whatever they are called. She's a prodigy and is incredibly talented! Sig is a professional hockey player and does side hustles, just to make sure Chloe has everything she wants or needs, which is just amazing!
Tbh, I am someone who never sees a plot twist coming, and that pattern continued with this book! I had a lot of fun reading this book!
Miss:
Chloe annoyed me. Maybe I want more substance to my FMC, but I tend to not be a fan of the damsel in distress of sorts. She has lived a very high social-standard of living, but I felt like she lacked something.
I enjoyed this book and I enjoy Tessa Bailey's writing, if I want an easy to read book with spice, plot, banter, and a little bit of everything in between, then I love to pick up one of hers!

I wanted to like this more than I did, because in the previous book of the series they were side characters and I was *so* interested in their deal. Their chemistry was on fire and I was wanting them to be together 100%
My issues -
It’s built up as a huge potentially career ending scandal if Sig had a relationship with his potential future stepsister Chloe, and that’s the entire reason they’re struggling to stay apart even though they’re massively interested/attracted to each other
But they aren’t even step siblings yet, their parents are just dating - and besides that they met *before* their parents introduced their relationship in the first place.
In the real world this would not be a massive scandal.
This is barely a fluff PR piece on a slow news day.
Also, Sig is refusing to date her, even as she throws herself at him, but also won’t let anyone other men talk to her, let alone date her. Scares other guys away, manipulating her to agree to not give anyone else her number and then deleting contacts of men she had talked to
I just … don’t like that.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Harper voyager for the arc

Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey
Book 3 in Big Shots Series
⭐️⭐️ 2/5 Stars
I had so much hope for this book, however it wasn't for me. I loved the first book in this series and struggled with book two but hoped book three would turn it around for me and it did not. Their meet cute in the beginning of this book was so fun and it was a good start to the romance. Then quickly the twist of them going to be future stepsiblings is thrown at them halting any romance between these two. However, it does not stop them from growing closer and being there for each other whenever they need one another. In the beginning, I did think it was sweet how Sig wanted to spoil Chloe and give her everything but it quickly got annoying for me. I did not like how the FMC was written at all. Chloe was portrayed as an idiot. She wasn't able to do anything on her own and just kept spending all of Sig's money. Then the whole issue in the book of them being future stepsiblings so they can't date is just weird to me. They are adults who did not grow up together and their parents are not married yet only just recently engaged, so why can't they date? It seemed like a nonissue to me. I did finish the book but only because I was curious type of twist would happen at the end to get to the HEA and the twist only annoyed me more. I would not recommend this book. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC copy but this book unfortunately wasn't for me.

Suspend some belief and maybe a bit of common sense to enjoy Dream Girl Drama. The instant love story is funny, sweet, and spicy. Sig is a talented hockey player who falls hard and quickly for the sheltered protégé harpist, Chloe. The one issue is their parents are to be wed to one another. With Sig and Chloe's high-profile lives, a step-sibling romance is out of the question. The two fight their feelings but eventually give in to the attraction felt between them. As consequences become more serious, they decide to call off their intense romance. But after a series of all-to-neat revelations, the two find their happy ever after.
I thought the story was fun and funny in spots. The intensity of their feelings was a bit much for me and the ending wrapped up too quickly and neatly in my opinion. But I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it to other spicy romance lovers.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

"A man who calls you pretty, Chloe, is a fucking fool. You aren't pretty, you're brutally goddamn beautiful. You glow with life. You're crazy. You have heart. You have love pouring out of you. You're brilliant and creative. So gorgeous I've lost thousands of hours of sleep. You have a body that demands someone spoil it often and fuck it twice as often. Pretty? I'd spit on a man for calling you pretty. You're extraordinary. The first and last of your kind."
I have been waiting for Sig and Chloe’s book since we were introduced to them in The Au Pair Affair! The chemistry between the two of them is everything. I loved how Sig knows that Chloe is the one and truly wants her as his wife even though they are going to be step siblings soon. He is always there for Chloe and it was so sweet all the things he does for her. I especially loved how protective he was of her! I do wish that they would have ignored the fact that they were going to be future step siblings a little earlier so we didn’t have to wait so long for them to be together! The steamy scenes were so freaking good in this book! Tessa can do no wrong! 😍

Tessa Bailey always hits home. The perfect mix of banter, grumpy sunshine, lighthearted female lead. I loved the balance she gave with the hockey/Harpist vibe. It didn't feel overly sports centered, nor was it to far into the artistic space. I felt like I was right there with them through their story. and of course Tessa always brings the spice! This was such a fun read!

I think that this book started out VERY strong - I was a little turned off by the surprise step-sibling thing (that isn't a spoiler, it's revealed within the first couple of chapters) but the plot and characters made up for it.
As the book went on... I fell out of love with it. Chloe was extremely immature socially, like in a completely unrealistic way... she doesn't even know how to look up how to do laundry?? This character flaw just made it extremely hard to connect with her.
The twist at the end of the book saved the day for me - I really didn't see it coming.
Overall, if you're looking for a slow-burn, quick romantic read, this is a great option.
Thank you to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review

I adore this series! I know a lot of people think the future stepsibling thing is insanely taboo, but Tessa does this one wonderfully! I love that there is so much to Chloe, a harpist? haven't read that one before, a rival between a hockey team and a baseball team over something so trivial? heck yeah! I feel in my bones my overall apathy towards hockey romances, but this one brought me back to life. I loved the plot twist (that I somehow didn't figure out!) and can't wait for book 4! Tessa is KILLING IT with this series!!

I have read several books by Tessa Bailey and the Au Pair series (which this one is in) is my favorite. At this point, Tessa Bailey could publish her grocery list and I'd read it. I was so excited to get early access to this book. Just as the others in the series, the characters were likeable and I couldn't put the book down. Definitely recommend!

As someone who has never been drawn to hockey romances, I fear that my feedback and rating is reflective of that fact. I DNFed quite quickly as I disliked both of the main characters and was put off by the instalove/lust. I've been moving away from books that feel smutty just for the sake of it. Again, my review if skewed by the nature of what I enjoy reading and what this book is (understandably) not.

Yesssssss Tessa Bailey coming in hot with the taboo (kinda of LOL… very very mild taboo since they’re not related at all and also never lived together . But still!!

I DNF'd 25% in. I could not get into this book, and I tried, hard. I don't mind instant love, but would have liked more of a build up. He was all in immediately and I was left cringing more than anything.
Thank you, netgalley for the opportunity to read this arc.

I was a bit doubtful throughout this book because of the trope. I didn’t know how to feel about the almost related type relationship. I almost stopped a few times because of it. Once the ending cleared it up though it made it much better. It was overall a good book and a quick and easy read.

4.5 stars, Spice 🔥🔥
This series is 🔥
Sig and Chloe’s story now gets the spotlight it deserves after their mention in The Au Pair Affair.
Tessa Bailey always create something special with her books.I also love in her acknowledgements of writing a verging-on-taboo story and that was exactly my thoughts while reading this.
-Forbidden Love💗
-Dream Girl (Duhh the title)
-Soulmates 😍
-Possessiveness
-Sports Romance- hello part of this series! 🏒
-Family Drama with potential step sibling relationship?!?!
Miss Chloe: harp prodigy/enthusiast, over-bearing mother and spoiled with no knowledge of the real world but in some ways felt overall genuine. And her craziness was kind of cute. Ultimately she was a hot mess express that was steadily gaining her independence.
Sig: He is broody and hot, friends with Sir Savage, makes Chloe his entire world but is off limits due to the fact his father is marrying her mom.
Can they find a way to be together? Potentially putting both of their careers on the line or will they say goodbye forever?
Overall my disappointment was that the plot was focused on something I felt could be ignored but I believe that Tessa was trying to have this verging on taboo. Therefore sometimes the spicy scenes felt embarrassing for me because step sibling categories just isn't for me.
(Adult future step siblings that meet and fall for each other prior to knowing they would be step siblings. I mean I am sure that there are some people out there who make that work without it being entirely weird or drawing negative attention. )
I think Tessa did an overall wonderful job with this book and the plot does make this funny and complicated.
So do I think you should read this just because its by Tessa Bailey then yes I do! Butttttt, you should also read this because its steamy, forbidden and somehow sweet and caring all at the same time.
Make this your next binge-read- Im begging you!!
Thank you so much to Avon and Harper Voyager & NetGalley, for the digital ARC of Dream Girl Drama in exchange for my honest review.
I squealed with excitement getting to read a Tessa Bailey book as an ARC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars
Sig Gauthier and Chloe Clifford’s insta-love and following moral conflict about being together was an easy read. While their main issue was the impending nuptials of their parents, these are 25 and 29 year olds who are only really concerned with their professional images. The set up for other books in the series was nice, but this one falls a little flat.

Was this cute? Yes. Did it have a realistic outcome? No. Quick easy read but I couldn’t really connect with either of the MCs to be honest.. which sucks because this is the second Tessa Bailey book I’ve done this month that I haven’t loved 😭
I think there are many people that would love this though but definitely not my favorite Tessa Bailey book

Sig Gauthier and Chloe Clifford have such a great meet cute. Instantly he knew that Chloe was going to be the one for him and she felt a magnetic pull to him that they both have never experienced before with anyone else. He was going to visit his dad to meet his dad’s new girlfriend since they had an announcement they wanted to share. While they met under innocent measures, Sig and Chloe’s relationship was going to take a turn before they even started as Sig’s dad is marrying Chloe’s mom so they were going to soon be step siblings! Sig is an incredible hockey player for the Bearcats, he grew up and learned everything from a young age because his mother raised him as a single parent since his dad walked away from them. and Chloe is a harp prodigy who seeks to be able to choose her own path as she wants to attend a conservatory in Boston. Her mother has sheltered her for her whole life and she has only played the harp the way her mother had wanted. Sig will do anything and be anything for Chloe and it is so cute! Even if they have a huge obstacle to overcome, if there is a way Sig will find it! I am absolutely in love with Sig and this man deserves all the flowers in the world! Chloe was a little clueless at time, but I will say she was raised to be coddled by her mother so I cannot fault her for it. The solution was just okay. But to be fair I think this was that best case scenario.
