This book was so much fun! Jen Calonita is my tween's favorite author and I know she's going to love this one just as much as her other titles. It has Inheritance Games vibes and readers will love solving the puzzles along with the characters. And that cliffhanger!! This isn't even out yet and I am anxiously awaiting part two!!

This is sure to be a hit for fans of The Inheritance Games. This was fast paced and I cannot wait for the next in the series!

The ending of “Isle of Ever” was cruel and abrupt. We were in the middle of the climax when I turned the page... and nothing but a little note that said the story would continue in book two.

The perfect book to cozy up with and read on a cold, rainy day. Benny is to inherit a beautiful estate, inn, and large sum of money–with a catch–if she can win the game her ancestor, Evelyn, created 200 years prior. Evelyn left her clues hidden around the estate and surrounding area that would uncover a mystery, lead to a secret island, and break a curse. Benny is challenged to learn to trust and make friends. With a lot at stake and a deadline looming, you will be biting your nails during this read!

I enjoyed Calonita's "Isle of Ever" for the suspenseful storyline and likable main character. While some of it was predictable, I think a child reading this would be invested in the mystery and very excited/proud if they discovered the truth before it was revealed. Looking forward to reading the next one!

I really love Jen’s writing and am thrilled that this is the start of a new series. I absolutely adored this book! It was fast-paced and so engaging that I finished it in a single day because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. The characters were both likable and charming, but even after finishing, I found myself wanting more from the story. I can’t wait for the next installment!

A time-travel focused MG novel that was, for me, too slow to be enjoyable. The novel is part of a series and the main thrust of the plot is not resolved here and instead kicked down the road to the second (or third?) book in the series. The various mysteries in this book aren't particularly interesting or hard to figure out and it feels like the book it just starting to get interesting when it suddenly stops. I'd be interested in knowing how the story ends (although I am pretty sure I can guess), but the necessary slog is honestly pretty off putting.

What an interesting start to a series! I cant wait to see where this goes in future installments. There is always time to read a good puzzle mystery and I can see many younger readers as well as older who want something fun to read picking this up once it's released. I look forward to giving this a reread then as I suspect my 3 star rating was just a result of my current mood reading not quite matching up with these vibes at the moment.

Calonita's book Isle of Ever is an exciting adventure with a puzzle to solve. Everly Benedict "Benny" is a character readers will cheer for as she attempts to solve a riddle left to her by her ancestor Evelyn. Can Benny trust the people she meets along the way? Will she find Evelyn's Island based on the clues she has? as Benny seeks answers, the reader will most surely think they have found the answers, but the plot is always one step ahead. This book is highly recommended for readers who seek a good riddle and adventure.

I really enjoy Jen’s writing. I am so happy that this is going to be a new series. I absolutely loved this book. It was fast-paced. I read it in a whole day because I wanted to know what was going to happen. The characters were likeable and charming. But I was wanting more from the story even after it ended. I cannot wait for the next one.

Absolutely incredible! Gave me strong inheritance game vibes mixed with a historical mystery and pirate lore. I loved the setting of greenport, Long Island. Benny and her friends adventures are only just beginning!

I really enjoyed the start of this series, it had that element that I enjoy from Jen Calonita and was enjoying the concept overall. It had that charm that I was looking for and left me wanting to read more in this world and characters. It works as a opening chapter and was glad I got to read this and worked in with the children’s fiction genre.
