A Not So Merry Ex-Mas has to be one of my favorite Christmas books I have read lately.
The characters β the plot and everything else about this book gave me a feel-good read.
I would absolutely love to read another book with Cole and Noelle in it.
Abby Greyson is another author on my list now to get new books from her.
Thank you NetGalley and Abby Greyson for A Not So Merry Ex-Mas book.
This is my personal review.

This was my first experience with Abby's writing, and it certainly won't be my last. I absolutely adore her writing style and the way she crafts such genuine connections between her characters and the readers. I'm eagerly looking forward to exploring more of her past works and seeing what she has in store for the future!
This story of second chances and random flashbacks, though not usually my favorite, truly captivated me with its charm. The banter between characters was delightful. I also appreciate when books delve into excessive details, even if they don't always advance the plot, as it helps me vividly imagine the scenes. This book did just that, and I loved every moment from start to finish!

A Not So Merry Ex-Mas was a very quick and cute holiday romance. I would have liked to see more conflict or struggles throughout, as sometimes each chapter seems like it was repeating but with different words. I'd recommend this book to someone that likes simple, realistic romances.

A heartwarming holiday romance that will βput you in the moodβ for the upcoming holiday. Noelle was happy for Cole Nichols, the man she loved, when he was selected by a major league baseball team. She needed to stay with her grandmother, who she dearly loved and cared for, which meant that they would be apart. Over time and believing that they had both moved on, she had married someone else and was now divorced. The upset she felt from the last time she had seen Cole has driven a wedge between them that they both regret, but will there be a chance for them to reunite? Cole hopes so and accepts an invitation to spend Christmas Eve with their friends Melanie and Mike at their cabin. Noelle was not aware that Cole would be there and knew her best friend had set her up. When a blizzard moves in that keeps Mel and Mike from arriving, will this be the chance Cole needs to let her know how much he loves her or will Noelle continue to push away the only man sheβs ever loved? I really enjoyed this holiday romance. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

This was a fun, quick, christmassy read and it gave me all the feels. This is not a slow burn book and it made me so happy throughout!

Loved reading this book and new author for me. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. I look forward to other books in her collection.

Easily a 4.5 βοΈ
Very cozy and quick Christmas read! Took me about 2 hours if that! Cole and Noelle (also fell in love with her name cause you knowβ¦ NOEL and itβs Christmas..) have my heart. So happy itβs not a slow burn and I already knew it was going to be a happy ending!
Thank you for the ARC!

A Not So Merry Ex-Mas is a sweet holiday romance. It was a quick read and, in my opinion, lacked depth. Everything happened quickly., causing me not to get emotionally connected.

Such a cute little feel good Christmas book! Quick read, gave me lots of cozy vibes. Main characters are adorable.

This is the perfect holiday romance that will have you cheering for the characters the whole way. It is heartfelt and very swoon-worthy!

This is a lovely book to read in the lead-up to Christmas, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. It captures all the little details of the season while weaving in a romance about falling in love with your ex-boyfriend.
However, it's not my favorite writing style. The story is filled with excessive details that don't really add much to the plot, making it feel a bit drawn out at times.

Noell heads home for Christmas and runs into colt, her one-time love. she is divorced now, so will they get a second chance?

4.5*
Noelle and Cole are the perfect example of right person wrong time. This is a story of second chances, random flashbacks and the best type of banter.
Noelle is someone whoβs been dealt hardship and needs a break. Cole is someone whoβs been in love with her and her hardships since he first met her.
This story is beautiful, I throughly enjoyed this start to finish and will definitely be rereading it.
This is my first novel by Abby and it will not be my last, I adore the way she writes and how she managed to connect her characters with her readers. I cannot wait to see what else she has done and will do next!
Thank you for the eArc of this book from netgalley.

First of all thank you for approving my request!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.
I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

A Not So Merry Ex-Mas is a wonderful holiday romantic comedy that wraps you in festive cheer and sweet romance. The story follows a woman returning home for Christmas after years apart from the man she once loved. This story vividly portrays the blend of holiday magic and rekindled romance. I enjoyed reading it for its depiction of second chances and the holiday spirit, which made it a perfect escape into a cozy, feel-good world.

Iβve never read any books by this author before this one but now I fear I have been missing out all this time. This was such a cute short book and it had all the cozy Christmas feels to it!
Also absolutely love that our FMC is named Noelle!! She was such a sweetheart that has had a lot of hardships hit her all in a short time in life. But she is able to reconnect with Cole who is such a golden retriever cutie pie!! Heβs genuinely so loving and sweet to her and knows when to give her the space she needs itβs adorable. Cole has also gone through some rough things in life but heβs ready to finally explain to Noelle everything. This was adorable and Iβm so happy I was able to read it! Such a nice relaxing short book.

πβ¨ If youβre in the mood for a holiday romance thatβll make your heart do a merry jig, A Not So Merry Ex-Mas is your ticket to Christmas cheer! This book is like a cup of hot cocoa with extra whipped creamβsweet, warm, and totally irresistible. Cole and our heroine might have had their hearts broken before, but their Christmas reunion is pure magic. If you love a good second-chance romance with a sprinkle of holiday magic, grab this book and let it be the highlight of your festive reading list! ππ

I originally picked it up to get a feel for the book (I do this often) and, from that first chapter, I knew I would love it.
Itβs beautifully written and flows seamlessly allowing you to devour each chapter without realising it. The main characters, Cole & Noelle, are fantastic. Theyβre relatable, sweet and funny and I love their interactions together even the frostier ones! lol
I adore the other characters, Mel & Mike. Itβs thanks to them and their meddling that Cole & Noelle can work through their heartbreak. And they are funny, too!
I love Coleβs cute nickname for Noelle, made me smile throughout.
And, of course, the backstory including how, two people perfect for each other, drifted apart.
There is some sadness, (as there is in life in general), but there is love, hope & friendship.
What more do you want from a romcom?! It even makes me smile thinking about it as I write my review. π₯°
Why only 4.5 stars? Well, there was a word over used to describe a facial expression and the epilogue. It was cute but I personally would have been happier without it but Iβm just being nit-picky.
However, I adored this. Itβs was the perfect cosy second chance romcom with the most gorgeous characters and idyllic setting. Pure heaven in a book!
FYI itβs a clean, sweet romcom so NO spice just adorable kissing scenes. These are my favourite kind of romcom. β₯οΈ

Noelle is going back home to spend Christmas with her best friend Melanie and husband Mike to meet her at the cabin. Melanie calls her to let her know that they won't be coming until the next day as Mike is working for one of the firefighters whose wife is having a baby. Noelle gets to the cabin and finds a surprise her ex boyfriend and the love of her life Cole. Noelle went through some hard times and now she is divorced. Cole asked Mike and Melanie if he could go early to be there when Noelle arrived. The last time they had seen each other was at Mike and Melanie's wedding and Cole was not nice to her.. His biggest regret. We know where this is going . Do Noelle and COle get back together or not!!. This is a VERY GOOD READ.

As I was reading this book, which I enjoyed so much, I kept thinking, this story is showing me what happens when you live life, like you think you should, and what happens when you just let life unfold and see the magic, that life has in store for you. What an amazing writer and story, thank you for writing it.
