This self help guide I would recommend to anyone starting out within the book community online. It so clearly set out, and easy to read. It uses good simple language with relevant graphics and photos. It emphasises being consistent with your posts, that making meaningful connections on social media platforms to grow your own and covers booktok, booktube, booksta, good reads and blogs. I currently use canva but had not heard of snapseed which was great to learn about!

Very helpful for how to engage and plan on social media for my reviews. I think it will help me build my audience and also find my voice a bit more for my reviews.

This quick ebook/article was very helpful for a new NetGalley user as well as someone just starting out on their book influencer journey! I wish I had read this right away, but a few months late is better than never! There are tips for various social media platforms as well as other platforms. It also includes some recommendations on how to actually do the reviews. Thank you We Are Bookish!

Very helpful to know what and how to post on social media for Net Galley books. Will definitely be using to share my reads!

This was a really great overview and guide to getting started on social media and/or blogging! Actually super helpful, as I've definitely thought about getting more serious about requesting ARCs and sharing feedback.
Thanks NetGalley for the handbook!

I am so glad I found this. As a person new-ish to the social media side of the book community, this handbook is indeed very handy! There is a lot of information, and if you are a visual learner, there is tons of photos to aid you!

I have recently started managing social media content (we do feature a lot of book-ish content) for my library and found this to be an AMAZING resource. Starting social media can feel really overwhelming, but I think that this is a great resource to make it feel more manageable. There are some really great tips provided (and I will be saving a copy of this to use as reference).
Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish for publishing these guides!

Informative, great for those new to NetGally. I was for tips I had not learned yet, but personally didn't gain any new info.

I am so excited to have opportunity to review ARCs on NetGalley, but I really had no idea where to begin. Hence, the need for the toolkit. It was helpful providing starting point and tips when writing book reviews

Thank You NetGalley for writing this. It helped me a great deal as I was starting my Bookstagram account. It helped me so much when posting about ARCs.

Really helpful advice for creating book-related content. I have been using tips to build my bookstagram account.

NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook was… okay, but definitely not what I was hoping for. I went in expecting something super actionable with fresh strategies, especially for BookTok or newer trends, but most of the info felt really surface-level and kind of obvious if you’ve been online for more than five minutes. It reads more like a beginner’s intro than a true handbook, and I wanted way more depth—like actual content ideas, algorithm insight, or platform-specific examples. I didn’t hate it, and it might be helpful if you're brand new to bookish social media, but if you're already posting and trying to grow, this probably won’t move the needle much.

Thank you so much!!! This is so helpful! 😊 lets hope to the social media gods that TikTok isn’t ban in two days.

Thank you very much to We Are Bookish for this resource! I really appreciated how the advice was targeted specifically for each platform, and as someone who is a little intimidated by Canva I appreciated the short introduction to this too! A great resource that I would definitely recommend.

This is so cute and helpful! I am definitely going to start implementing some of the things and ideas mentioned in the booklet since I am just starting out as a Booktoker/ Bookstagrammer.

This is a great guide for both professional and amateur reviewers. I love that advice is broken up by social media types, and not just general advice for all socials. There’s a lot of helpful information, especially for a newbie like myself, but it never feels overwhelming. I can’t wait to put all this advice to use in my future reviews.

If you’re a book reviewer or influencer looking to grow your audience and maximize engagement, NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook is a must-read. This concise yet thorough guide covers platform-specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and more, offering actionable tips on content creation, audience interaction, and best practices for book promotion.
What stands out is its practical approach—real-world examples, content planning advice, and insights on leveraging NetGalley widgets effectively. While it’s beginner-friendly, seasoned reviewers may find some sections more of a refresher than a revelation. That said, the platform-specific breakdowns and algorithm insights make it a valuable tool for anyone looking to optimize their bookish social media presence.

We Are Bookish has done it again! This handbook is outstandingly amazing and made easy to understand everything to navigate about posting reviews on social media. Definitely recommend this to everyone!

Thank you Netgalley for the arc and the wonderful resource.
This is a great guide for starting social media, but does provide a lot of basic information. I think it is targeted at people are new to social media and looking for a place to start rather then people who have already developed a following and creator voice. Saying that, I do think it gives people a starting point that many people need to push them.
Beyond that, I love the aesthetic and look of the PDF; it was easy to read and flowed nicely. The graphics were really cute and I liked that they provided examples.
Overall, a really good resource for beginners for online bookish spaces.
