Until I read through NETGALLEY'S SOCIAL MEDIA HANDBOOK, I lived a Rube Goldberg conception of how the different social media platforms operate and how best to utilize them to communicate, advocate, and inform. This grounded guide makes me a better reviewer and recommender. I received a copy of this guide and these are my own unbiased opinions.

This social media guide is an excellent resource for not only book reviewers beginning their social media journey, but also for seasoned veterans who want to refine their content.

What is particularly helpful is that the book is tailored for use on advice for multiple social media platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram and Goodreads.

I would definitely recommend to others.

This is a resource on how to use Netgalley well, tips on what to do and not when starting out to write good reviews, and tips on how to start out and grow a bookish platform. It covers the various social media sites, focusing on Booktok, Bookstagram, Booktube, and Goodreads, with helpful info on what works best on each platform, and how you can save time while adjusting your content and reviews to best suit the general audience in each. It also covers general etiquette with reviews.

This handbook is great for beginners who know basically nothing about developing a following. If you asked me a month ago if I had any interest in expanding where I post reviews, I'd have told you no. But this teenie little Social Media pdf has the wheels turning in my head. Also, there's great tips like keeping your name the same across all of your accounts or using a tool to help you stay organized and plan your posts better (ex: Trello). It's something that feels like common sense but it can be quite easy to forget or not think about in the moment.

Highly recommend this to any beginner. Especially if you're feeling overwhelmed! 10/10 will read again.

A quick and easy guide to setting up social media channels for sharing book reviews. It's very visual and a quick read, but I wish I didn't have to get almost to the end to find the social media guidelines for sharing reviews, like the FTC statement, ARC approvals, and where to look for hashtags. I would assume most people approved to review on here already have at least one social media platform, so I was hoping for more tips than how to start an Instagram account or what TikTok is.

This book is really great if you're new to book reviewing and or if you just want to improve your reviews. It tells you exactly how to improve your skills and I have found it to be quite helpful. Everyone who is new to NetGalley or other reviewing platforms should definitely read this book.

A great and handy guide for users! It’s very detailed and easy to understand, and it includes plenty of useful resources. Personally, I create my content using a different system and software, but having that Canva guide will certainly come in handy!
