NetGalley's Social Media Handbook from We Are Bookish is a great resource for those new and not so new to using NetGalley and the various platforms of social media. A must read for all.

I’m happy to have learned some tips on setting up my bookish accounts like instagram, YouTube, Goodreads and storygraph

Helpful tips for bookish creators. Some of the pages were difficult to read due to the font and backgrounds colors.

Tons of great tips in this handbook - even for those who've been using social media for years! I currently only use Bookstagram, but will absolutely hang on to this in case I ever decide to explor another social media channel.

I've had my bookstagram for about 5 years so feel pretty established now but this book would have been so helpful in the beginning. Some of it is common sense - like don't tag authors in negative reviews, but some is so helpful. I love how all the data was laid out - very easy to follow and reference. I love how it included links for more resources - the canva 101 was beneficial for me! Overall, this was a great resource and I recommend to beginners and seasoned book fans!
Thank you to netgalley for a copy. Opinions are my own.

Very informative on how to use social media to promote upcoming books, and getting the word out a the new release and encouraging viewers to preorder books.

If you're trying to become a book influencer, this is a great resource to start off with! I especially appreciate how they lay out all of the different platforms to consider and give advice on each. So far, I've only been active on bookstagram and booktok, but I've been thinking about potentially expanding to booktube and having my own book blog. This was so helpful to contextualize how much work it will be, how each platform differs, and how you can re-use content with minor adjustments so you don't burn out. Highly recommend to any new and upcoming reviewers looking to have more of a social media presence!

This is a really helpful guide! I’m new to reviewing ARCs and wanted to know more about social media tips. Thank you

The NetGalley Social Media Handbook really helped me get a clear idea of how to navigate the bookish social media world. As someone who’s passionate about sharing book recommendations, I’ve always felt a bit overwhelmed by all the platforms and strategies out there. But this guide gave me practical tips and insights that felt really personal and relatable. It’s not just about growing an audience; it’s about connecting with fellow book lovers and creating meaningful engagement. The advice on building a community and staying authentic to your voice made me feel much more confident in my approach to social media. Whether you’re a seasoned bookstagrammer or just starting out, this handbook is a must-read for anyone wanting to create a genuine and supportive bookish space online.

This is such a great resource! It has helped me be more effective on social media! The tips were easy to understand and implement.

As someone who struggles to stay consistent with bookstagram, I really appreciate this resource. I've been considering moving to a blog instead, but now I'll take some time to follow some of the tips included in this guide before making a decision.
Thanks, NetGalley! All opinions are my own.

I have wanted and have started a book worm account to share books. The problem I tend to get stuck on is “how the heck do I make it fun and interesting”. This is a great little how to guide. It demonstrates how to start an account, tools you need or don’t. It easy to read and has media sites that can provide additional support. Great advice and very useful

I'm super surprised how detailed this guide was! It was very helpful, even if I knew some of the basic etiquettes, this guide went more in depth on the why for the do's and don'ts. I don't do a lot of BookTok content but now I'll feel more comfortable doing so.

Very helpful guide with tips and best practices for posting reviews on different social media platforms. The recommendation to use Canva was particularly helpful for me.

Really helpful hints for social media in this handbook. I got clarity on how to reuse my thoughts about the book on different social media platforms. Will be refering to it again. The section in Canva is fantastic too.

Filled with handy advice. Definitely worth spending some time with, as a reader and an author. It taught me stuff I didn't know.

NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook is a great resource for book reviewers who are new to promoting their reads online. It offers an overview of the different social platforms, helpful tips on content planning, and platform-specific review strategies. I especially appreciated the guidance on structuring reviews across different platforms and organizing content more effectively. While the advice is geared more toward beginners, it’s still a useful refresher for anyone looking to fine-tune their social media approach. If you’re just starting out in the book community, this guide is a great place to begin!

This is a very helpful guide to making the best of social media as a bookish person. Even if you know what you're doing, it's still nice to go over some of the checklists, tips, and tricks.

A good handbook that lets you know how to use social media with your reviews best. I thought it was a good way to learn how to best talk about and review books. It is especially great for new bookish people, but also gives some great reminders for seasoned pros.
