To be honest, I had to really push myself through this one. From the start, it felt like there were just so many unnecessary details added to create depth, but instead, it came off as a bit overwhelming and sometimes even cringey. I found it hard to connect with the characters—Caleb and Gwen were cute in theory, but their interactions just didn’t land for me.
That said, I did enjoy getting to know Jenny and Dean a little better. Their backstories felt more grounded, and I liked seeing their romance develop in real time.
In the end, I just couldn’t gel with the overall story, and at about 40%, I decided to DNF. I think it’s more a case of me not being the right audience for this one. While it wasn’t for me, I’m sure others will appreciate its charm!

not the best written but a sweet cozy romance which was definitely holiday centric which I loved that it pulled through on

This as a quick fun holiday read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. I loved the mystery/thriller aspect of this story. It really could fit several genres. Loved Gwen and Caleb but I think Jenny and Desn stole the story.

Wonderful story, great character development, great writing! Highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Such a fun, cute wintery read! I really enjoyed experiencing it all from the different characters perspectives. I'm excited to read more from this author

I adored this read. I think one of my favorite posts was them sitting in the cars at the stake outs. I could just envision it so well. It was a fast read and I can’t wait for the next one.

Romance? Check
Suspense ? Check
Absolutely adorable couple? Check!
This book was SO GOOD! I couldn’t put it down and I finished in 1 sitting!

this was actually such a cute holiday read! has so many tropes like grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, etc. can’t lie, i kinda ate this book uppppp. i loved the banter between all the characters and it sent me straight into a hallmark world without being so cliché! i loved reading the dynamics between all 4 of the characters and it made it so interesting since i’ve never read a book with a dual pov like this. definitely recommend for festive vibes ⭐️

received this book as an arc from netgalley 🤍

Cute holiday read. This is a sequel and I had not read the first one so I recommend reading in order. Gwen’s wedding is a Christmas Eve wedding and there are a few obstacles before the big day. This was multi pov from Gwen and Jenny and you are following 2 relationships. This version I read did have steamy smut .
I liked it overall and it was a perfect read for the holiday. I’m interested in the next book in the series.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was sweet with swoon’s characters. I really liked the writing style snd a lot of the messages in this book. It was a great way to start the new year!

Amazing! I love the romantic suspense subplot and I think I love Dean and Jenny more than Gwen and Caleb 🙈🙈thank you Melissa and netgalley for the gifted copy, I had a good time getting to know dean and Jenny and finally seeing Gwen and Caleb getting that happy ending they deserve 💗💚

I tried to give this book a chance but it just did not hook me. It was also very strange to jump right in to a very spicy scene when I have no connection to the characters. I didn’t realize it was the second book of a series and reading the first would have probably been better. There are also a few trigger warnings that I didn’t know until I received a copy of the book and made me not want to continue reading.

This was really cute and spicy. I loved how a little mystery was added to the whole thing to make it a bit more special. Also, I liked how we get the two women's pov, would've loved to read the male perspective as well but a female one is always more appreciated. Jennifer and Dean, my grumpy x sunshine, stole my heart from the very start, the angst, the banter and the little moments were so cute. Overall, a solid holiday romance, more romance than holiday, still loved it.

Holiday Wedding is the first book I've read by Dr. Melissa Dymond. It is a dual pov holiday romance written differently than any I have read before. The povs are of Gwen and Jenny, who are best friend's preparing for Gwen's wedding to Caleb, and each of their povs take us through their own romantic adventure. Jenny’s storyline follows her and Dean, who is Caleb's friend and bodyguard. There is also a mystery and suspense element to this story as well, with a stalker on the loose.
I loved seeing the relationship develop and grow between Jenny and Dean from enemies to lovers. Their relationship really stole the show, in my opinion, as they worked well together to heal themselves and each other. There were so many cute and swoon worthy moments, and it is definitely worth the read!
Thank you, Melissa, for providing me an ARC of this story in exchange for my honest review!

I feel like I would've liked this book way better if I had read the first book first, but since this was sent to me for review I went it into it thinking it was part of a companion series.
The dialogue was kind of cringe and towards the end something so unrealistic happened that had me rolling my eyes. Apart from this I still enjoyed the book and I really liked that we got to see two romances in the story.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

This book drew me in from the first page with it's spicy romance, but it wasn't without a good storyline, too. Relatable characters who brought laughter and suspense kept me turning the pages. A couple of get-ypur-heart-racing twists thrown in make this an all-around great book. Looking forward to reading the author's other titles.

I have read a few of this author’s books and have enjoyed all of them, but this was a really great read! I love a romance with a little bit of mystery about it to keep the plot flowing, and I think it was done really well in this book!
I did realise post read that this is a book 2 though! I don’t think I’m missing out on anything, but I’m now super excited to go back and read Holiday Star
Dual POVs absolutely have my heart and I can’t fault how this was done in this book. My only criticism is that it was a little predictable, but as with most modern romance fiction, this was kind of expected and didn’t ruin it for me!

Very cheesy and perfect for a holiday read. Fun and magical. Spirit of Christmas is really brought out by the end!

4 stars ⭐️ This was a fun holiday read! I enjoyed it!
Thank you so much to NetGalley providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this book. My first by Melissa but not
My last definitely. I love rom-coms so much and this
is one of my favs now too. I loved how she wrote dual
POVs of FMCS and their stories are so beautiful to
read. All the tropes mentioned are perfectly executed.
The chemistry, banters, sweet moments and a hint of
suspense in romance were fun to read. I loved all the
characters.
