I loved this book so much. I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I actually finished it in one day! I am definitely getting more books from this author. I can't wait to read more. The story was well written, characters so relatable, and the spice was epic. I highly recommend this book!
Thank you Net Galley ARC and Victory Editing

I absolutely loved this book. Not only was it a romance book but there was also a mystery to solve and you got Caleb and Gwen doing there wedding but also Jenny, Gwen's best friend and Dean, Caleb's bodyguard/friend having a part too!
Gwen and Caleb are getting married on Christmas Eve, but Gwen is leaving two weeks before the wedding for a conference for her to talk about her ideas on screening for colon cancer. Caleb encourages her to go and says him and their family will get the wedding all together.
Jenny is still doing writing and does interviews with Caleb but only writes what he approves. She's around the grumpy Dean some and feels like he doesn't like her. Still holding a grudge about her giving away a secret from when Caleb was hiding out. Her and Dean spend a lot of time together though. Will sparks fly?
While Gwen and Caleb are separated, Caleb is getting some disturbing things from what seems to be a stalker. He worries after lot about his game affecting Gwen.
So many things happen and love the steamy scenes and all the mystery. Great book! Just loved it and looking forward to another one on side characters!! Eeek so excited!

This is a tale of at least two stories--a typical rom-com with some spicy scenes thrown in, a mystery stalker tale, a friendship story between two friends, Sometimes the switch between the many different kind of genres makes the reader's brain whip around sometimes too fast to really commit to the characters--is it about Dean's PTSD, or Caleb's alcoholism and sobriety, is it Gwen's commitment to medicine or Jenny's computer skills? Frankly, I don't know what to think about this book--because there is something for everyone from a gunfight to a wedding should everyone read it?...or because it is so hard to know how to take this book, is it worth reading? I don't know--I just know it was too much all over the place.

Another great book that was added to my TBR over the holiday season! If you didn’t get enough holiday reads this season and are looking for a steamy holiday romance to read, this is it!

I loved this heartfelt romance, part of a series I now can’t wait to read more of. This book alternates between Gwen, a doctor engaged to a famous actor, and Jenny, her best friend, with layered subplots that keep the story moving.
✨ Highlights:
- Multiple POVs from Gwen and Jenny.
- Caleb and Dean, the male leads, were well-written with struggles like PTSD and alcoholism adding depth.
- Jenny and Dean’s enemies-to-lovers subplot was swoon-worthy.
- An accidental pregnancy trope done right - it enhanced the story rather than feeling cliché.
🔍 A few missed marks:
- At times the author and the book were tone deaf.
- Weird little details. A baby is born in an epilogue (won’t say whose!) and the author was excited it would have his dad’s blue eyes, but all newborns have blue eyes. Since the author is a doctor, I wonder how that detail was missed. But such a weird minor nit!

This was such a great book. I enjoyed the two love stories intertwined and the bit of mystery/suspense that occurred. This was my first book from Dr. Melissa Dymond, but I will definitely continue to follow this author for anything else she writes.

When I started this book I thought it was going to be the typical Christmas novel in which the story would only focus on romance, but it's true that it does focus a lot on romance, which makes sense since it's a novel but it also touches on other themes and plots that I wasn't expecting at all.
Another thing I wasn't expecting was that the book dealt with more than one couple, which in my opinion captivated me much more and honestly I was more invested in the other couples than the main couple.
For these reasons and many more, I highly recommend this novel to anyone who wants a book set during the Christmas season.
Finally, I'd also like to thank Dr. Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my opinion.

Tropes: Celebrity, bodyguard, forced proximity, mystery/suspense, enemies to lovers
Dual POV 1st person
This book was hard for me to get into, I feel pretty neutral about it. I did like that the story focused on two different couples/romances, and that the dual POV focused on the two FMCs, as opposed to FMC/MMC. I also liked how Gwen pushed back against being “just” Caleb’s wife. The 3rd act drama was surprisingly intense, but in a good way. I didn’t expect it to go that hard. I do think the ending dragged on a bit though, without giving away any spoilers, I would’ve preferred it ended after the resolution at the airport, and I just skimmed through the two bonus epilogues.

Gwen and Caleb are madly in love, so walking down the aisle should be as smooth as Santa sliding down the chimney on Christmas Eve, but when Jack Frost sends a blizzard, their Christmas cookies start to crumble. And the icing on the gingerbread house? There’s a stalker on the loose, Y I K E S!J
Meanwhile, Jenny’s life is a lump of coal. Her career as a reporter has stalled, and her boss is grinch. Eager to leave LA, she dusts off her snow boots to spend a month in New York covering Caleb Lawson, fiancé of her best friend, Gwen. Jenny loves NY, except her for Caleb's bodyguard, Dean.
I absolutely loved this dual POV spicy, holiday romance. I also love that this book is available in a “sweet” and a “spicy” version, but I read the “spicy” version and am already looking forward to reading more of her books! I loved Jenny and Dean teaming up to track down the stalker, which was a thrilling twist that kept me guessing until the end (literally).
If you’re in the mood for a holiday romance that’s SPICY and entertaining while also keeping you on your toes, this is the book for you.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for a copy of this ARC! All opinions are honest and my own.

Thank you Net Galley for the ARC! ✨
First of all, I really was confused for the first few chapters because it seemed like a sweet romance and I didn't necessarily anything wrong with the pairing. Eventually, as the story progressed, I did catch on the romance that was being presented. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good read. I enjoyed the authors style of writing. I liked the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book due to how it was written. It felt very easy to follow our characters thoughts and behaviors. It's more of a character based story than plot, in my opinion. But I really enjoyed that refreshing take. I definitely recommend to those who want a sweet and spicy romance!

Great Holiday Read!
This was a fun story, I enjoyed every minute of it! It was a quick easy read because I wanted to know what was going to happen!

Let me start by saying this is book 2 in the series and I did not yet read book 1 (Oops! I promise I'm going to). With that being said, this book was still so good even with not having read Caleb and Gwen's original story!
I enjoyed the dual FMC storylines much more than I expected to. You get to see the wedding for Gwen and Caleb and how they're handling their relationship now being in the public eye. You also get to see Jenny, Gwen's best friend, and Dean, Caleb's bodyguard, relationship develop.
This book has a bit of everything for everyone. Romance, spice, banter, suspense, forced proximity, one-bed, and so much more. We get some mental health rep with dealing with PTSD and anxiety and insecurities. You see panic attacks, trauma responses, self-depricating thoughts, and self-doubt.
This book had a very special moment where the mother describes what real marriage is made of, not the romanticized ones we often see, and as someone who's been married for 5 years now and with her partner for 10, it was so important! Romance novels always romanticize marriage and everything else feels subpar to these relationships.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author, and publisher for providing me an advanced copy to read/review!
I really enjoyed this book! First, I must say I appreciate the author for having both closed and open door versions of these books. I actually downloaded the closed door version of Holiday Star and didn't end up finishing the book - I will go back and read the open door version now!
This book has great forced proximity/grumpy sunshine tropes and those are two of my favorites. I enjoyed Melissa's writing style a lot.

This was such a cozy read. I was totally hooked from the first page. Caleb and Gwen doing the wedding preparations in the middle of a blizzard with a stalker on loose??Although I'm not a big fan of thrillers, romance with a hint of thriller in this book made it sm better. And it was my first time reading a book with dual povs of 2 fmcs-which was so much fun. Loved all the characters-Jenny, Dean, Gwen, Caleb made my heart full. Enemies to lovers with grumpy sunshine tropes?? Give me a better combo🤭 Jenny and Dean's relationship slowly evolving to love made my heart full. Loved their banter and both teaming up to find the stalker and slowly begin to fall for each other made me cry happy tears😭💗💗Loved the friendship between Jenny and Gwen. Jenny was such a relatable character. Her constant fear of never being good enough resonated with me.Caleb and Gwen are sweet hearts💗💗
Even though i haven't read the first book, i can clearly picture their love for each other-loved how they are willing to choose each other-neither a blizzard or a crazy stalker can keep them from each other.
This book is perfect for a cozy evening with a warm cup of coffee and the holiday vibes in it make it the perfect christmas read!

A holiday romance with a little bit of mystery. Yes please. I read the spicy/open door version and it did not disappoint. I love that the author offers two versions!!
Also loved the little side tension/relationship of Jenny and Dean! They stole the show of this book!
I think I enjoyed this more through the 2nd part. The first part was a bit slow for me.
And it’s a FANNY PACK!
I really enjoyed this one. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Dr. Melissa Dymond for this e-ARC.
I like the author's writing style and am a huge fan! Love, passion, mystery, intrigue, and a hint of a thriller were all present! I want to see more of the side characters in future stories because they were a lot of fun. I am really excited to read more!

This book is so well-rounded, with a little humor, romance, mystery, and action! I was engaged the entire time and appreciated how in-depth the side-character storyline was as well. I did not realize this book was second in a series until I was finished, but that did negatively impact my experience reading the story. I am however excited to read more from this author!

nothing better than a spicy holiday romance book with a dash of romantic suspense ! thankyou so much netgalley + melissa for giving me the opportunity to read early and review <3
