FINLAAAAAAY. Ugh, I love her so much she’s such a mess.

Another fun book on this series. I never know where it’s going, they’ve gotten progressively spicier (all closed door), I’m constantly impressed that our girl never gets caught, the humor is on point. And each book ends with a cliffhanger and I know I’m gonna get more.

Finlay is getting Nick so deep into her nonsense I’m surprised he still has a job 😂

Can’t wait for the next one! Sign me up ✅.

Thank you @netgalley and @minotaur_books for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

3.5/5, rounded up to 4. Fast paced and biting sarcasm to accompany hilarious misfortune like the rest of the series, An enjoyable fast read.

Thank you to NetGalley & Minotaur books for this ARC!

I enjoyed this Finlay novel for being more of a cozy mystery than the chaos that was book 4. This one felt more like Finlay was the focus and we were able to see how she feels about her relationship with Nick, Steven, and having Ms. Haggerty as a house guest. Vero is still Finlay’s trusty sidekick & they both manage to get themselves in tricky situations throughout the novel. Ms. Haggerty’s book club has a shroud of mystery around it and makes Finlay & Vero question that not everyone and everything is at it seems.

I’m a big fan of this series and I love seeing what Finlay and Vero get themselves into!
Finlay is still juggling motherhood as a single mother and trying to write her next novel. She finds herself in a new and predicament with her neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty. A body was found in her backyard and she has no where to go when her house is deemed an active crime screen. So, Mrs. Haggerty moves in with Finlay. Soon Finlay’s ex-husband is the focus of the investigation of the body and Finlay and Vero must get close to Mrs.Haggerty to find her secrets, to clear him.

This was another fun ride with laugh out scenes! I adore Finlay and Vero’s friendship and I loved getting to know Mrs. Haggerty. It's fast paced and entertaining, and the ending sounds like the series isn't over yet. I'm looking forward to the next book!

3.75; thank you NetGalley for the e-ARC of this lovely book! absolutely loved this, I was so happy to be back with some of my favorite characters, and getting to learn more about Mrs. H! Loved the ending and cannot wait to keep reading this series as they come out, not my favorite as I thought the others had more comedy, but still a great and fun read!

4.0/5.0

I’ll be honest…books 2 and 3 in the series had me questioning if I wanted to continue. But Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave reminded me a lot of the first book and got me invested once again in the adventures of Finlay and Vero. Looking forward to what happens next

Finally, Finlay gets honest with Nick, which I kept waiting to see happen in the other books. I do like that the premise in this book isn’t quite as outrageous as some of the others, but it’s still got that humor and ride or die friendship between Vero and Finley which is really my favorite part of the series.

Not as good as other books in the series; maybe it isn't as unique and funnier as the earlier book. Still an enjoyable read. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book

This series is just so good - funny, endearing, a little mysterious, with characters you can’t help but love.

I really enjoyed this newest installment! Book 4 wasn’t my favorite, but this one felt like it really moved the overall story forward and I’m very excited to see what is next!

I was excited to be back in the tumultuous life of Finlay Donovan and her sidekick nanny/friend, Vero.

Trouble finds them—this time, with a knock at the door. Finlay’s neighbor, Mrs. Haggerty, has nowhere to go now that her house is a crime scene. A man’s body was found murdered and buried beneath her roses. Who was he, and who killed him?

The clues keep pointing to Finlay’s ex-husband, Steven, but Finlay refuses to let her children’s father go to jail. Convinced of his innocence, she sets out to uncover the truth. With help from Vero, Cam, and Javi, Finlay has a better shot at unearthing the real killer than she would alone, all while juggling her two kids and her neighbor living with her.

I firmly believe this series shines brightest in audio form. Angela Dawe does an incredible job with the characters’ voices, capturing the perfect essence for each one.

Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave is another triumph in this series. I love the characters, the humor, and how I’m always entertained by the messes Finlay stumbles into without ever seeking them out..

Cliffhanger: Kinda

4/5 Fangs

I could not be more excited that there will be a 6th and 7th book in the Finlay Donovan series, especially given the fact that book number 5 ended in a serious cliffhanger. Just when you thought everything was finally going in the right direction for Finlay Donovan and her trusty 'nanny/partner in crime' another bomb drops.

For all those who have enjoyed the Finlay Donovan series, if you haven't read last months release of Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave, this is your sign to go and pick up your copy now. It is so good!

Thank you St. Martin's Press for the ARC from one of my favourite series ever!! I think this one might be my favourite one so far. I enjoyed Mrs. Haggerty's character and getting to know her more in this book and loved that all our favourite characters were back. BUT THE END, I AM NOT READY FOR THE NEXT ONE. I LOVE YOU VERO

One of the best books in the series! I really enjoyed the plot of this one and the central mystery. The exploration of killers walking a fine line between justified and becoming what they hate was a good theme.

I appreciated the conversation at the end between Finley and Nick, but given the timeline their relationship is progressing at breakneck speed and I often found his pressuring her for commitment and depth of emotion to be really creepy given the short time span they’ve been dating.

Thanks to NetGalley for ARC for an honest review.

Elle Cosimano never fails to make me laugh out loud with Finlay and Vero’s adventures. Such a good pick me up read, filled with fun!

This is one of my new favorite authors and I love that I was able to feed my addiction with an advance copy to read by NetGalley! I love the characters and the plotlines, which are humorous enough to always keep me on my toes!

This series is just so fun!!!! I wasn't sure where the story was going next after the last book, but I should have known to trust Elle Cosimano. This book was less action-packed than the last few installments (read: less high-speed car chases), but there were still lots of great high-tension scenes as Vero and Finlay work to uncover the truth behind the bones in Mrs. Haggerty's backyard. More than the mystery though, I just love how this series is able to keep such a jovial tone full of hilarious scenes even as real shit is going down. This installment in particular reminded me a lot of the first book and kept true to the themes of the series. If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for?!

Craziness abounds in this latest installment and I just can’t figure out why Finlay Donovan is incapable of saying “Yeah, no, not happening, not doing that.” She always a falls into the trap and not that it isn’t a hilarious ride, but really, who does that? I guess that is why we all love this series. It is so unpredictably predictable. The story is well written with a challenging thought process that heightens the suspense with a tongue in cheek tone of humor. All good here and looking forward to the next installment. Vero - Hold on - We are all pulling for you.

Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press - Minotaur Books for a copy.
