This is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into obsession, deception, and the complexities of modern relationships. It's also Worley's adult debut. The story follows Jane, a 24-year-old aspiring playwright in New York City, who becomes fixated on Colin, a software engineer she briefly dated. When Colin starts seeing Zoe, a talented artist, Jane's obsession intensifies, leading her to infiltrate their lives in a bid to reclaim Colin's affection. However, her actions uncover dark secrets that entangle all three characters in a web of lies and murder.
Worley's writing is sharp and immersive, capturing the nuances of emotional manipulation and the dangers of unchecked desire. The novel's pacing keeps readers on edge, with unexpected twists that challenge perceptions and keep the narrative unpredictable. So Happy Together is a compelling read for fans of psychological thrillers, offering a fresh perspective on the complexities of love and obsession in the digital age.

This book was so hard to put down, and when I HAD to, I was thinking about it until I could pick it up again.
There was so much more going on in this book than I initially thought. I had speculations about where the plot was going at times but it took me a while to realize I was indeed correct.
This was a perfect popcorn thriller, hard to stop and makes you want to eat it up until it’s gone. There’s stalking, a murderer, and depressingly accurate insight into today’s dating culture and meeting new people.
So Happy Together isn’t one to skip!
Thank you so much to Minotaur Books for sending me a digital review copy via NetGalley.

Jane’s in love with Colin. He’s her soulmate and she’s 100% sure of it.
Now insert Colin: He broke up with Jane after six dates and has moved on with a new gorgeous and sweet girlfriend, Zoe, for a few months and seems blissfully happy.
That won’t stop Jane from finding her way back to him - it’s their destiny…isn’t it?
Zoe doesn’t know how to love Colin the way he deserves. All Jane has to do is infiltrate and prove it, and they’ll be so happy together.
But when Jane sneaks into Colin’s apartment, she makes a shocking discovery―one that will tangle the three in a web of lies and murder.
This is a super fun read for the summer!
Jane is such a great character that you will want to hate her and somewhere along the way be so engaged with her through Olivia Worley’s great writing. Boy moms beware - this was cringe worthy stalking and my jaw was hanging open in so many moments.
Some hearts get broken, some get even.

You know that moment when your date ghosts you after six whole dates and your totally healthy reaction is to… mildly stalk him, rationalize every eye twitch as a sign of hidden passion, and eventually break into his apartment? No? Just Jane? Cool cool cool.
So Happy Together is the unhinged romcom thriller I didn’t know I needed. Jane is a 24-year-old playwright with a Manhattan apartment, zero chill, and a love life that makes Fatal Attraction look like a Hallmark movie. When Colin dumps her—after six dates, which in Jane’s world equals soul-bonding eternal commitment—she does what any completely normal person would do: she decides he’s wrong and proceeds to spiral into a vortex of delusion, justification, and “accidental” break-ins.
Colin, meanwhile, is just a poor, unsuspecting software engineer trying to move on with Zoe, a stunning, talented, genuinely lovely human being. But don’t worry—Jane’s inner monologue has a thesis-length explanation on why Zoe is the actual devil and Colin just hasn’t realized Jane is The One. These moments of desperate rationalization are both deeply cringe and so hilariously uncomfortable that I physically recoiled…while still turning the page at lightning speed.
And THEN comes the twist. No spoilers, but let’s just say this story went from Awkward Girl Fails at Love to Murder, She Wrote…but with way more red flags. The back half of the book is twistier than Jane’s mental gymnastics, and just when you think it can’t get any messier—oh honey, it does.
Final thoughts: If you’ve ever thought “he’s just scared of how much he loves me” while watching someone run in the opposite direction, this book is your spiritual home. So Happy Together is wild, weird, darkly funny, and will have you whispering “girl, no” into the void—before you stay up all night to see how far she’ll go. Spoiler: it’s far.

Don't be fooled by the cover of this thinking it's a love story like I did. This was a completely unhinged tale of obsession, lies, and secrets. Our protagonist, Jane, deludes herself into thinking the man that broke her heart after just six dates wants her back. From there, the story takes off, leaving many jaw-dropping moments. There were times I almost felt bad for her, and then her actions made me feel otherwise every single time. This was written in such a compelling way and highly entertaining, to say the least. While I did want more development with Colin, I think his mysteriousness worked here. There were some small things that didn't make sense, though, and I felt the ending didn't fully expand on everything. Overall, I did find myself really liking this one more than I thought I would, and fans that love a story of obsession will love this one. Three and a half stars.
Thank you, Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for this ARC.

The name, cover and description attracted me to So Happy Together.
The beginning of the book had me wondering what exactly was going on, but as the pages followed, it became clear. As clear in this genre. The characters bloomed and the plot thickened as the words passed and I could not put it down. As a first time mystery/thriller read, I enjoyed the beginning, middle and end with the rollercoaster! I recommend it.
Thank you for the eArc NetGalley!

The main character was just plain out delusional. I kept thinking there was going to be this big reveal, and her way of thinking made me a bit confused. Her backstory didn't really fit with the story. It felt like it was just inputed in. I did enjoy the ending more than the beginning of the story, so I think that saved it a little for me.
As always, a huge thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I listened to the audiobook for this one and while I liked the mystery story quite a bit, but the book itself was a little hard to read at times. The narrator did a good job bringing the character to life, but that character was hard to like and even listen to. Jane is in love and the fact that her boyfriend broke up with her before they could even become official is a minor detail. She creates plans to show him what he is missing and accidentally bumps into his new girlfriend Zoey. Zoey befriends Jane which works for her motivation to convince Colin they are meant to be soulmates. Jane stubbornly turns every red flag into a promise for something good to come which was hard for me. I don’t like watching someone get gaslit and this character almost did it to herself. I will admit the twist at the end was excellent and helped make up for a lot of my earlier frustration. Overall this book wasn’t bad and I’d try this author again.

Thank you for the advance reader. Copy of so happy together from netgalley. I enjoyed reading this book and it was the first I've read by this author. I recommend it.

Wow, So Happy Together was absolutely fucked and twisted—in the best way possible. What starts as a seemingly sweet, modern romance quickly spirals into a dark, unpredictable thriller full of lies, secrets, and even murder. Jane’s obsession with Colin and the messy love triangle with Zoe hooked me fast, but the shocking twists kept me on edge throughout.
If you’re into psychological thrillers with a creepy, addictive vibe like You or Promising Young Woman, this book will grab you and won’t let go. Definitely not your average love story—more like a deliciously twisted mindfuck.

Jane is obsessing over her recent ex Colin when she discovers he has anew girlfriend, Zoe. Zoe is a beautiful artist & Jane immediately kicks her plan to get Colin back into high gear. Jane and Zoe become friends and soon Zoe is around Colin all of the time, discovering secrets about a past college girlfriend of Colin's that has passed away. Did Colin kill her? When another person winds up dead, all signs point to Colin.
I liked this book overall but parts are very repetitive. Jane is constantly obsessing over Colin & misreading his action. The reader wonders how she can be so dumb. There are a few twists at the end, which is always good.
Thank you to NetGalley, author Olivia Worley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for this ARC.

This was all over the place. I think it missed a few edits. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for read and review

I enjoyed this one so much! I love stalker novels and this was that, with unexpected developments! Thank you so much for the arc!

This book has been compared to the show “you” and while there has been some similarities there was not enough to keep me invested. It was filled with twists but not in a good way.. the book was predictable and just was not for me.
Thank you to Netgalley and to the publishers for allowing me to read this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a fun thriller with major crazy ex-girlfriend vibes with Jane. She is over the top obsessed with Colin who she believes is her soulmate. Her actions are totally questionable and even more so when she befriends Colin's GF, Zoe.
The thriller is twisty and entertaining. Michelle H. Lee did a great job on the narration.
Thank you @macmillan.audio @minotaur_books for a copy of this.

- Messy women, morally grey decisions, and one hell of a plot twist..
Okay so—what did I just read?
This book was like watching a slow-motion car crash where every passenger is lying, unwell, or dangerously charming—and I loved every second.
We follow Jane, a 24-year-old aspiring playwright who goes on six dates with a guy named Colin and decides he might be the one. Problem? He ghosts her and starts dating the flawless Zoe. So what does Jane do? Move on? Work on herself? No. She befriends Zoe. Casually. No big deal. 😅 It sounds ridiculous, and it is—but that’s what makes it work. Jane is chaotic, obsessive, delusional… and completely magnetic to read. I couldn’t stop flipping pages, even when I was shouting “No no noooo Jane, STOP” in my head like I was watching a horror movie. But honestly? I was invested.
✔️What works:
• The dark humor. It walks a fine line between thriller and satire, and somehow nails both.
• The pacing. Fast, twisty, and full of “wait—WHAT?!” moments.
• There were moments where I questioned every character’s sanity—and mine.
❌What didn’t quite land for me:
• Some of the plot gets very twisty, and while I was into it, others might find it a little too much.
• her obsession with Colin in general - like he’s not worth it babe. 🚩
⸻
This book gives me the show “You” vibes - Read it for the drama, stay for the chaos, and don’t trust anyone—not even yourself!!
Would definitely recommend if you love:
• Morally gray female leads
• Obsession-fueled plotlines
• Thriller novels that embrace the chaos and don’t apologize for it

Newly single Jane can't get over ex, Colin. When she runs into him and his new girlfriend, she finds herself befriending the comer Zoe.
This was one twisty thriller!
First person thrillers where you have to question not only what they are telling you but whether or not you like them is a new trend in thrillers. Worley does this really well in this one. Jane is obsessive and makes very questionable decisions for all the wrong reasons. But you still find yourself supporting her as the anti-hero. I wanted her to find love and to find friendship. I realized early that you can't trust anyone in this book, which came in handy as I was reading. Colin and Zoe are also questionable. I found myself not liking them at various points of the story. But you know it's a good thriller when even with all of that, you still really enjoy the story. This one brings out the worst in people, but you still want to know what is happening.
I also really liked the Hamlet connection in this. That was a fun addition.
All in all, this was a great thriller that really keeps you guessing!
Thank you to the author and publisher for the gifted copy!

This book was kind of anticlimactic for me. It was good, but predictable and the twist didn’t knock me off my feet. Jane bothered me for various reasons throughout as did Colin and Zoe. I liked Ben and wish we got a bit more from him and his death. It was just two girls obsessed with the same guy for very different reasons that then end up trauma bonded best friends over everything they went through together and ignoring the truth right in front of them (at least one of them).

Thank you to the publisher and the author for this arc. The author did a great job with this book, but it simply wasn't my cup of tea all the way through. However, I am glad to have read it and grateful to be sent this arc.

"So Happy Together" follows Jane who is stalking her ex Colin and his current girlfriend, Zoe. Jane knows that she and Colin have a connection and is upset he dumped her. Now she's focused on showing him what he's missing. When she runs into him and Zoe, Zoe takes a liking to her and now Jane is front and center to their relationship and how she can show Colin she is perfect for him. Worley has created a classic thriller with twists that will keep you happily engaged well into the night The plot is full of unexpected developments that kept me guessing until the very end. Although Jane's actions may be hard to empathize with, the story is compelling and engaging. The ending was particularly satisfying and surprising. The reveals come quickly and in different directions starting at about the 70-75% mark. Both Jane and Zoe are interesting and layered characters who will keep readers guessing until the very end. Zoe is beautifully written, and I can't say much about her without giving too much away, but she is the MVP of this book. Thank you to Olivia Worley, Minotaur Books and Netgalley for offering me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. I am eagerly anticipating her next book.
