Tedious. Badly sketched characters, borderline unreadable. An absolute waste of a couple of hours of my life. Would rate it zero stars if possible.

3.5 stars. the characters were fun and for like 60% the plot was good. honestly i think this one was most weakened by the twists, which were generally meh and kinda predictable. i would have definitely liked it better with a better twist, or honestly even with no real twist. tysm for the arc.

This is the third book that I have read from Olivia Worley, and I will DEFINITELY continue reading her books!! (I actually have Final Cut as an ARC and can't wait to read!!!)

The author does a great job at creating morally gray characters. She makes me question whether I like a character or if I am rooting for their downfall throughout the entire book. I think that the characters were all different enough to keep them separate, and there wasn't too large of a cast.

She does a great job with a sense of setting. I knew where I was supposed to be throughout the entire book.

Something I LOVE, is a quick read. And this book hit the nail on the head. I read about 85% of the book in one day. Once I got into it, I refused to put the book down.
I thought that the flow of the story was amazing. It kept my interest at a great level.
The "twist" moments were perfectly timed and laid out throughout the book.

I did figure out the reveal a little early on. But that didn't stop me from reading or wanting to know how the author was going to tie it all together.

Check out this book if:
- You are obsessed with Love Quinn (You season 2 & 3)
- You love a quick paced thriller
- You support women's rights and wrongs

Thank you to Minotaur Books and NetGalley for an eARC of this book!

Three and a half stars.

I received an ARC from NetGalley (this title publishes in June). As someone who appreciates twists and turns, this one did have a few surprises that I didn’t guess. Some parts of the book were cringe (but cringe in a way that I can appreciate). Her obsession with the “boy who got away” and his new girlfriend…had me cringe reading, but I couldn’t stop.

Modern day Shakespeare characters in this twisty obsessed love story.

This is the third Olivia Worley title I’ve read and I continue to like her mystery writing style. She does a good job of writing morally grey characters that you aren’t sure if you want to root for them or not. In this book we have an obsessive FMC trying to worm her way back into her ex’s life, telling herself that she’s perfect for him. She ends up befriending his current girlfriend as a way to get closer to him and soon we start to learn more about their pasts.

I thought the overall pacing of the book was good, and little mysteries popping up to figure out as we go. I liked the parallels with Hamlet and I really enjoyed the performance scene at the end with Jane’s rewrite of Hamlet and Ophelia. Worley’s books always have some kind of commentary on a relevant social issue through her characters and this one was no different.

Where this book lost a star for me was the ending and the final reveal and wrap up. I felt like it came and went all too quickly and didn’t fully explain everything for me. I ended up with a couple more questions that I thought would be answered, but weren’t really. The story so far had done a good job building up to this final scene and in the end it just felt like it was resolved too quickly in proportion to how much story had been building to it.

That being said, I do have a couple of things that I’m dying to discuss so I can’t wait for this to be published and hopefully have a few discussions about the characters and the character development

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s press for the ARC.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for offering me an advanced opportunity to read “So Happy Together” in exchange for an honest review.

This book gave me all the “you” tv show vibes, but from a female perspective.

I found the storyline to be intriguing even though none of the characters were very likable per se, but I think this was an opportunity to point out that we all have character flaws & nuances that make us unique. It also points to that some of our darkest shadows have their reasons for existing and generally, it is to protect us.

I didn’t find it to be easy to pin down who the culprit was. Every single time that I was sure it was the boyfriend, I was proven wrong.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller/who did it?

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley is a cleverly layered psychological drama that had me constantly analyzing the characters’ motivations and mental states. I wouldn’t say it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, but what really pulled me in was the question I kept asking myself: who was actually the most unstable—the main character, her ex-boyfriend, or his new girlfriend-turned-best-friend?

The shifting dynamics and underlying tension made for a compelling read. While I had some suspicions as the story unfolded, it still managed to keep me guessing until the very end. It’s the kind of book that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about trust, loyalty, and manipulation.

This was the perfect (almost) summer read.

I loved the writing style. The characters really came to life and felt so relatable. Jane’s dry wit was my absolute favorite. I’ve never loved a stalker so much!

The story is totally outlandish in the best way. I got through this super quickly because I didn’t want to stop reading.

The only part that felt unnecessary and like it didn’t quite fit was the surprise gallery room near the end.

Can’t wait to see what this author does next.

Really?!???? , I disliked the character so much!!!! She was a stalker girl, I fear Colin doesn’t even care what this girl do but she does, her name didn’t even stick to me because she mentions Colin’s way more than my kids call me mom, the story was fast paced but it bore me how stalking this character was, although this book was very well written I just didn’t like the girl that’s it, great story but annoying.

This is a very slow burner at the beginning. It does pick up once the intrigue begins. I found none of the characters to be likeable. Never really did form an attachment to Jane. Truthfully, I didn't like her from the get-go.

The story is very well developed. Not being able to connect with the 3 main characters lies with me. Ms. Worley gives enough information and background for someone to form some sort of relationship with them.

This book was a solid 3.75 rounded up. I genuinely was anxious and sweating at parts because I had no earthly idea what was going to happen until the end of the book. The way the author twisted the facts to match different versions of the story was captivating. Though, I think therapy might be a better option than killing people lol.

Thanks Net Galley 😎

I enjoyed this book! It was a quick read and the plot was more involved than I expected it to be. The feelings of Jane were so defined that I felt them myself at some places.

Im obsessed with the best book of 2025! I devoured it in one sitting, completely captivated by the story. The characters were so well-developed, and the plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down, even when my friends and family tried to distract me. The writing was engaging, and the author's style was unique. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a page-turner. Trust me, you won't regret it! It's a must-read for book lovers,

So Happy Together is a fast-paced, psychological thriller, which is exactly what I expect from Olivia Worley. This is the type of book you can inhale on a plane or at the beach, or just stay up into the night to finish it in one sitting.

Jane is obsessed with her ex Collin. It’s weird and creepy to read about her obsession and stalker behavior—not exactly endearing. When Jane meets Collin’s new girlfriend, she is initially skeptical, but slowly wrapped into becoming her friend.

As I read, I wondered, what lengths will Jane go to in order to win Collin back? What sort of creep is Collin? Is there something strange about Collin’s new girlfriend? There are lies, twists, and turns. Overall, a fun (and disturbing read).

Recommended. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fmc is a bit mental and delusional so it’s interesting to be in her head and see how she rationalizes red flag and rebuttal of her love interest. It’s cringy seeing her stalk him and his new gf. Each character was very thin and unmemorable. The story itself does keep you interested just to see what does it all lead too.

Thank you to Net galley and Minotaur books for an ARC of So Happy Together

Jane is obsessed with Colin and can't seem to move on from their 2-month love affair. Jane quickly and very crafty worms her way into colins life and his new relationship. But once she finds something in his apartment, will she continue to be obsessed her will she unearth a dark secret.

Jane gave me very Joe Goldberg vibes (ifykyk), I sometimes found her a bit annoying and like girl come on but that was part of her and added a certain suspense to the story. There were enough twists and turns to keep me up at night but I feel like this had way more potential to go a little deeper and a little darker. I would have loved more backstory on Jane and her past lovers if she stalked any of them and the outcome, but all in all this is a great summer thriller.

So Happy Together is an unhinged thriller that follows one woman's obsession with a guy she just can't let go of...

Jane is an aspiring playwright in NYC who is happily dating Colin. But after six dates and their first time sleeping together, he ghosts her. Humiliated and hurt, Jane begins to stalk Colin and finds out he is now dating Zoe. Zoe is a pretty and perfect, a gifted artist, and an up and coming influencer. But Jane knows that she is not right for Colin. After all, Colin and Jane will be so happy together. He just needs to realize it.

Jane befriends Zoe and begins hanging out with Colin's friend group, much to Colin's chagrin. When Jane escalates her efforts to win back Colin and makes a shocking discovery in his apartment, she's going to need to use all of her skills to manufacture a happily ever after for them.

Olivia Worley creates a fun thriller with a lot of interesting twists and turns. She captures all the vibes of the "swipe right" dating culture and what's it's like to be a young and dating millennial in NYC. Jane's obsession is cringey and relatable-we've all been that person at one point or known someone that just won't let go of a relationship.

This is the perfect summertime thriller that's ideal for beach reading.

Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for a fair review.

I feel like this book has a lot of potential. With the success of You, I'm sure it was trying to give some of the same energy, but it lacked a little depth for me. I think the author was trying to do just a little too much and everything ended up feeling kind of forced. This could have used a little more fleshing out and character development, Colin was giving us nothing, and Jane maybe just needed a mental health check. It wasn't terrible, but could stand to be tightened up in a few areas. Three Stars.
