Jane and Colin have gone on six dates when Colin breaks things off with Jane. Jane is convinced they are meant to be together though and is determined to get him back. Jane goes on numerous random dating app dates hoping Colin will see her and want her again. Her plan is to meet all these random dates at a bar where Colin likes to go so he’ll see her there. The meeting does take place but Colin is on a date with a new woman, Zoe. Zoe takes a liking to Jane and the two start hanging around together and become good friends. Jane sneaks into Colin’s apartment and finds a disturbing discovery. This starts a road of secrets, lies, deaths, plans to trap the guilty, etc. As all this mystery is taking place, we have Zoe putting on an art show and including Jane in it so Jane can present a scene from her play Ophelia. The plot is very jumbled and keeps you guessing where it’s going but for the most part, you can figure out what’s going to happen. The characters left something to be desired - Colin isn’t really given much depth and Jane makes ridiculous choices/decisions, especially once we find out more about her background. This book for me was a decent read but lacking what takes to make it a good or great one. I give the book 3 stars out of 5.

Olivia Worley's So Happy Together is the perfect kind of summer suspense—ideal for poolside reading, airplane journeys, or road trip listening. I was immediately pulled into the story, despite usually steering clear of anything with a "stalker" vibe. This novel, though, is so much more. It’s twisty, it’s steeped in toxic relationships, and it reads like a dark little ode to women, revenge, and even Ophelia. At its core, it’s good old-fashioned “who’s lying?” storytelling.
At times, it felt like an oddly satisfying "FU" to the men who hurt women—carrying a definite he had it coming energy. The pacing is solid, with well-placed twists and reveals that keep the story moving while maintaining just enough uncertainty about what’s really happening—or what has already happened.
I was especially intrigued by how Jane and Zoe explore their connection through Colin, and how one seemingly small lie at the beginning spirals into a full-blown unraveling as their lives collide.

As many know, I love a thriller that is fast-paced and absolutely twisty and this one that and then some!!! This is my first read from this author and for sure I am looking forward to reading more!!! A total binge-worthy read!!
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!!!

“So Happy Together” by Olivia Worley is an absolute rollercoaster of a read! The book starts off a bit slow, but stick with it — once the pieces start falling into place, it becomes a real thrill ride. The main heroine was totally nuts — and that’s what made her so compelling. Her descent into paranoia and emotional chaos was fascinating to witness, and the author perfectly conveys how even the most irrational actions can seem reasonable when you’re trapped in a warped reality. Worley explores this idea with unsettling clarity: there’s always a reason, even behind the unreasonable. Highly recommended.

Jane (the narrator) is deeply in her own head—which could work for you if you’re into messy, spiraling female characters. But she’s also unreliable, obsessed, and kind of emotionally detached from reality—which might block the connection readers crave. In this book, Jane is interesting, but not deeply relatable or emotionally available. She’s fascinating to watch but tough to feel with.
Worley's narrative is a compelling blend of dark humor and suspense, drawing comparisons to You and Promising Young Woman. The story explores themes of unrequited love, delusion, and the lengths one might go to for perceived happiness. Jane's character is both unsettling and sympathetic, making readers question their own perceptions of love and obsession.
If you're intrigued by stories that explore the darker sides of love and the human psyche, So Happy Together offers a gripping and thought-provoking read.

💔 T O X I C T H U R S D A Y review 💔 featuring “So Happy Together” by Olivia Worley!
Jane is a struggling playwright in New York City, who edits college admission essays on the side to make money. Without having many friends in the city or parents who are alive, Jane is lonely and desperate to find her soulmate.
So when Jane meets Colin, it’s GAME OVER. She has finally met the love of her life … only Colin doesn’t know it yet. After only 6 dates Colin breaks her heart by suddenly ending things. Jane just doesn’t understand how he could do this to her and begins to question everything. Is Colin hiding from his true feelings?? Was their short love story so intense that he was just being scared?? Jane is determined to get back inside Colin’s life, even if it means befriending his NEW girlfriend Zoe.
I loved the TOXIC love triangle in this book and Jane’s obsession with finding out everything about Colin’s life. With lots of stalker and crazy ex girlfriend vibes, this book is fast paced and in your face with delicious twists, dark secrets and never ending lies!
Thank you kindly to @olivia.worley @minotaur_books @stmartinspress @netgalley for my #gifted advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review! This book releases on June 3, 2025!

I wanted to love this I thought the premise was fun and fresh but ultimately I found myself cringing more than anything. I really didn't like our protagonist and with a premise like this I knew she’d be a little nutty but I hoped there would be something endearing about her. I didn’t get that at all instead I got nutty and delusional and annoying. It turned me off from the book and I ultimately ended up dnf’ing

BIG thanks to Minotaur for approval to read this story! I read the first few chapters in the last Minotaur Sampler and was HOOKED on this character!
Jane's character is the driving force of this story. Sister is DELULU and thinks she is in love with Colin. She knows nothing about his history but she is about to find out real quick. I enjoyed so much of this story, from the aspect of Zoe being a manifestation influencer, to the sneaking around that Jane does, this was like Joe Goldberg in female form. There are times you doubt each character's sincerity. I could not read this fast enough to know how this would resolve.
Side note: the audio production of this one is FANTASTIC. The narrator is seriously amazing at bringing Jane to life in your earholes!

So Happy Together had big Crazy Ex-Girlfriend energy. It was quirky, chaotic, and full of messy decisions that had me along for the ride on every page. It was entertaining at times, but the characters and plot didn’t fully click for me. Fun concept, and a quick and easy read!

So Happy Together was unhinged in the best way, and took me on the wildest ride. Hahaha loved this so much!

This book is so interesting in the sense that you never know what to expect.
Obviously our main character is very unhinged, which is honestly very intriguing to be in her mind.
She is obsessed with Colin after only 6 dates.
While this is a story about being obsessed with someone, it’s also more than that.
The twists were unexpected and kept me on my toes.
I would’ve loved another pov but I also think this was done very well.
Overall I really enjoyed this book.
Thank you for the Arc!!

Perfect for fans of You by Caroline Kepnes, So Happy Together is a creepy and suspenseful story of love and obsession.
Don't go into this one expecting sympathetic and relatable characters. This is one of those books where everyone tries to out-creepy the other, and you can't figure out who is lying but it might just be everyone! Great for a summer beach read.
My Goodreads review is linked and I will come back and link my website review as well!

An unputdownable & twisty read!
This one had me hooked, and I was surprisingly happy with the single POV! I'm usually a sucker for multiple POV, but I found only having the one for this story really worked. I enjoyed the pacing, chapter length, and all of the character.
I settled on 4 stars because the story wasn't the most original, so it didn't blow me away with the reveals, but it was still a great read that I would definitely recommend.
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted ARC

A hilariously unhinged read. Sadly I can see this coming to fruition with some of the perpetually single gals I know in the City if pushed to the edge!

3/3.5 stars rounded up to 4 bc I read this in basically one sitting in less than 6hrs.
The first 50% is setting the scene and that scene is that Jane really needs to see a therapist and read the room. She’s absolutely obsessed with her ex Colin after only 6 dates and now he has moved on with a social media/artist name Zoe. Jane does what every normal person does after heartbreak and stalks Colin and Zoe on social media. Yet, she takes it even farther and tries to “randomly” run into them which turns out to Jane’s surprise a friendship between her and Zoe.
Jane will literally do anything she can to make Colin finally take her back, whether she’s delusional or not, you’ll have to read the book to find out. But along the way Jane might just realize that Colin might not be exactly who she thinks he is. And he might be not only lying about his past but also might be lying to everyone he knows. Then a murder happens to someone both Jane and Colin know, will this bring Colin finally back to Jane? Or will the truth finally come out about who is lying and who is not who they say they are?
This book was more stalker ex than thriller, but it still kept me wanting to read the next chapter and get invested, especially when blood is now on someone or someone’s hands. I would totally read another romance mystery again from this author!
Thank you NetGalley, Olivia Worley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

So Happy Together is a sharp and engaging thriller that keeps readers guessing until the very end. If you enjoy stories that explore the darker side of love and obsession, this novel is worth checking out.

I really enjoyed this book! Many of my favorite reads have been unhinged characters that are obsessed with an ex- and while this one fit that bill, it also had a unique twist where the guy she’s after may also be a murderer 👀
Jane just knows that Colin is her soulmate - but he broke her heart and has moved on. She “accidentally” runs into him & his new girlfriend Zoe - and ends up becoming really close to her while making Colin extremely uncomfortable.
This was a fast paced & juicy read - and I ate it up. Definitely check this one out!

Thanks to NetGalley & Minotaur Books for my ARC.

So Happy Together is about two females obsessed with the same guy. This is a classic thriller with all the twists and turns that will keep you reading well into the night. The book kept me hooked and kept me guessing until
the end. I couldn’t figure out who was telling the truth. What a fun great read!

This was an incredible story with a lot of twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. I was intrigued the entire time! If you think you know where it's going and THEN oh no, you were wrong for sure! Thank you for the opportunity to read and review.
