In So Happy Together by Olivia Worley, Jane and Colin were once together and she is desperate to make him come back to her. Colin, on the other hand, is dating Zoe, and after a brief interchange Jane realizes she also likes her, leading her to eventually become friends. Jane is almost delusional in her belief that she and Colin belong together

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and had great characters. I was also greatly entertained by the multiple twists and turns and by the sharp, shocking ending. Five stars, a definite recommend for me.

I received this advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and feedback.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for an ARC of So Happy Together.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book. I went back and forth between thinking the main character was totally nuts and rooting her on. Unfortunately, I didn't love where ending took the story and the "big twist" felt similar to a whole handful of thrillers I've read this year. I just don't see this a a book that will be memorable.

Dark vibe with this book. The story is unique and has some twists too, which I really enjoyed. Had to stay up late to find out what the outcome would be. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I thought this one would be a major hit for me but it fell into the just okay category. I thought it was slow and did consider a DNF. However, I did push through so I was interested enough in the outcome to finish the book

Jane and Colin are soulmates. He just doesn’t know it yet. For twenty four year old Jane, finding love in New York City is even harder than making it as a playwright. So when Jane meets Colin, she can’t believe her luck: they’re perfect for each other. Even when Colin breaks off their relationship after six dates, Jane knows this is just a stumbling block. She’ll get him back. She knows she will! Good book! Great characters! This book had light suspense, intriguing, mystery, and a very interesting storyline! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

NYU alum Jane Williams is deeply in love with Colin, even though he ghosted her after 6 dates and even though, honestly, there is nothing that great about him and he's just a guy. Colin has started dating Zoe, who he met on the apps, and has a roommate Ben, his friend since childhood. Jane is an aspiring playwright and pays her bills (in Manhattan, no less) by editing college admissions essays. So her master plan is to start dating Ben and hanging around with Zoe and Colin, which will somehow get Colin to realize he has been in love with Jane all along.

Zoe is a TikTok influencer (lol) and loves Hamlet, so she is going to produce Jane's play, a retelling of Hamlet from Ophelia's POV. As Zoe and Jane grow closer, they start learning things about Colin that make them both think he is not as perfect as he seems. His ex-girlfriend Leigh starts turning up on his Instagram comments, then in their DMs. They find some disturbing images. Does Jane trust Colin or Zoe more? And who was Zoe before she moved to New York and started using a stage name?

This book has some serious "Single White Female" vibes with Freida McFadden characteristic twists and turns near the end. The reveals come quickly and in different directions starting at the 70-75% mark. Jane's internal dialogue suggests she is either insane, or perhaps just one of us girls who is driven insane by the shitty men in our lives.

You have heard it, yes? "My ex-girlfriend was so crazy. She was hot, but she was crazy." Hmm. Red flag city. Was she really crazy, Kyle? Or did she have the audacity to have a mind of her own and actually want you to treat her right? Or was it you the entire time? Ladies, please run when men say this.

We don't know how much of her dialogue is made up and how much is reality. We can't figure out why she is so hung up on just some dude she barely knows. We don't know if she should love or hate Zoe. At times the book can be vaguely misogynistic, but fun enough to keep us turning the pages. It won't change your life and I will likely forget the plot in a few days. A fun psychological thriller to take to the beach.

There were so many unexpected turns in this story that I'm not even going to attempt to account for them here. Jane is obsessed with her ex Colin, but Colin is now dating Zoe. What's a girl to do but Instagram stalk them and crash their dates? Rather than catching Colin's attention as she had hoped, Jane ends up the object of Zoe's fascination. Now, Jane is getting exactly what she wants - time with Colin - but it's alongside her new best friend Zoe. As their friendship develops, Jane starts to see some cracks in Colin's facade that have her wondering who exactly this man is and whether or not she should be dying to be back with him after all.

Olivia Worley continues to hit her stride with this latest novel. Both Jane and Zoe are interesting and layered characters who will keep readers guessing until the very end.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced digital copy.

This book was amazing. It drew me in right from the beginning. I enjoyed the unique perspective the story is told from as well as all the twists. I didn't see any of them coming. A huge thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC!

At first this sounds like a mentally unstable person unwilling to take rejection, which was genious. However, as the book evolves it's a great thriller that even you will be questioning your morals.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

I was very into this until maybe the last fourth of the book. It was so interesting to be inside Jane’s head and experience her trying to rationalize her creepy obsessiveness. Unfortunately it got a little silly and too unbelievable toward the end.

This had me both guessing what was going to happen and not guessing and just enjoying the story. The last 10% definitely seems a bit rushed with a lot jammed into it but it doesn't pull you out of the story. While it started out being reminiscent of YOU it turns more into the Mystery category than Thriller. The cover, title and synopsis sucked me in and I had to read it right away when it became available to me. I can't wait to see what Olivia comes up with next, (am I the only one that can almost see this having a second part?!?).

What an awesome thriller this is!
Jane is adrift in New York, trying to become a playwright and still struggling to find her way in a bustling city. When she meets Colin, she is sure he is the perfect ying to her yang. But Colin, unceremoniously dumps Jane leaving her reeling.

Jane decides to find out why. She embarks in an obsessive study of Colin and even becomes friends with his new girl. Suddenly, Jane has a real friend and may have the opportunity to date Colin's roommate. But appearances can be deceiving and Colin might be less of the perfect nice guy than he appears to be. Suddenly Jane needs to rely on her wits and her guts to make decision that college never prepared her for.

Worley has created a classic thriller with twists that will keep you happily engaged well into the night. Join Jane as she tries to find connection in the city that simply never sleeps.

This was all over the place… what started as quite an eerie and interesting story went off the rails and lost me completely. The last third was just not great and could’ve benefited from better development.

I’m usually not a big reader of mysteries, but I am trying to expand my horizons. I enjoyed this one a lot, but I felt the ending was rushed. The reveal of the killer and the backstory seemed like just one big info dump, instead of being served one bit a time. Nonetheless, I would happily read other books by this author. The crime scenes were not super gory and overly descriptive.

A big thanks to St. Martin’s Press.Minotaur and NetGalley For the chance to read a digital arc in return for an honest review.

So Happy Together is a brilliantly twisted tale that had me hooked from the first page. The writing is sharp and incisive, with a keen eye for the absurdities of modern relationships. The plot twists are expertly crafted, leading to a conclusion that left me breathless. This book captures the messy complexities of love, desire, and morality in a way that's both entertaining and thought-provoking. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already itching for more from this author.

This was an unputdownable, fast-paced and engaging read!

I've enjoyed reading books from this author in the past but I think "So Happy Together" is definitely my favorite book from her so far.

This storyline is a trip, from start to finish I was pulled into the story trying to piece together clues. The plot is filled with mystery, suspense and a few twists that I didn't see coming.

I'll definitely be recommending this one!

Thank you Olivia Worley , Net Galley and St. Martin's Press- Minotaur Books for providing me with an ARC of this book.
