I had enjoyed one of Olivia’s previous books and I saw comparisons to You, so I was interested in reading this. The concept of it is good, but none of the characters were that intriguing to me and the plot got a bit convoluted by the end.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.

Jane gets dumped after 6 dates but isn’t quite ready to let go yet so she keeps finding ways to be in Colin’s presence, even if it means befriending his new girlfriend.

Honestly I could not have predicted where this book was going to take me, but I’m not mad about it lol. All 3 of them are a little unhinged but I enjoyed the ride! Was this a 5 star quality? No but I think it’s worth the read lol

As always thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this early!!

4.5 ⭐️ rounded up

"So Happy Together" is an unputdownable, addictive thriller. Olivia Worley has cemented herself as one of the best YA thriller authors, in my opinion, and I was so excited to read her debut adult novel. The story is told from the point of view of Jane, a playwright in New York City, who has fallen in love with Colin, a software engineer. When Colin breaks things off with Jane, she knows she'll get him back...until she finds out that he is dating Zoe, an up-and-coming Brooklyn artist. What follows is a twisty and gripping story full of secrets, lies, and murder.

As soon as I started reading this book, I was hooked and couldn't put it down, finishing it in less than a day. Once again, the author took me on a wild and exciting ride. There's almost nothing I love more than a delulu main character, and Olivia gave me all that and more. The plot was fun and compelling, and the characters were just crazy enough to make you love them. I was enjoying the book so much that I was surprised when it ended. The ending felt a bit rushed—or maybe I was just sad it was over already.

So excited to have another thriller from one of my new favorite authors. Add this one to your must-read list this summer!

Dark and twisty with a side of dark and twisty with a side of dark and twisty!

There’s nothing I love more than crazy ass characters, and this book is nothing short of that. As a fan of You, Riley Sager, and Promising Young Woman, I was excited for this thriller and it definitely was a fun, quick read. While I am normally terrible at guessing plot twists, I did see this one coming but it didn’t make it any less enjoyable.

Great adult debut from Worley, she really did a great job at capturing the NYC and Gen Z vibes. I hope we get the chance to read more adult novels from her in the future.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review!

Jane is obsessed with her former "boyfriend" which turns into being obsessed as well with his new girlfriend, someone who seems perfect in every way. I enjoyed the first part of the book the most, she was obsessed but it was also humorous. We think we are reading one story but it quickly becomes something else and is there anyone who is a reliable narrator and does it even matter. trigger warning animal abuse

The book started out good but I found myself confused and having trouble following a confusing storyline. I read the book in 3 days but already forgot the ending even though I finished it only an hour ago. Not a memorable book. This book just didn’t grab…and hold…my attention. Just not my cup of tea, sorry to say.

What a fun wild ride! The ending was not was I was expecting but I loved it despite what actually went down! Out FMC was hard to read only because she was completely delusional, but that I’m sure was the point.

Loved this book! Was hooked the very moment I started reading it, I put it in my favorites book pile. So many twists and turns, gave me so much anxiety! I felt like I was actually a character in the book yelling no don’t do that!! I definitely recommend this book to friends and family and will most definitely read more by this author!

Just Wow! I got to the last chapter of this book and still trusted nobody. Everybody was manipulative and separating their reality from their lies was nearly impossible. The ending was so perfect though. The way the women came together on a theatrical piece fit the narrative so well! I am so glad to have picked this one up. I received my ARC from NetGalley and all opinions are my own.

Enjoyed the premise and the writing but found the turn of events just sad… Maybe more humor or more unhingedness would have helped?

I loved how right up until the end I really didn't know where this story was going. The entire time, Jan seems to be the unhinged one, but then we learn more about Colin, her ex, and think maybe he is the bad guy. But he claims it's not true, and seems sincere. What is real and what isn't!? Who is actually unhinged and out for blood!? Who is telling the truth!? I read this in 24 hours because I couldn't put it down. Definitely recommend this one for your summer reading list!

Just okay.

Found it repetitive and didn't really connect with any of the characters or their intent.
Truly interesting premise, but execution left me wanting.

This book is unhinged in the best way. The story follows 24-year-old Jane and her obsession with Colin, who she feels is her soulmate even though he broke things off with her after only 6 dates. She works her way back into his life by befriending his current girlfriend, Zoe. But things aren’t always as they seem.

This book is dark and twisty and kept me guessing, reminiscent of “You”- this is a good one if you enjoy that vibe. I liked that none of the characters are really likable. I didn’t love the ending, but it works with the story. Overall, a highly entertaining thriller that kept my attention from the start.

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book!

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley is both a thrilling and captivating mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story follows Jane, a 24-year-old playwright who is determined to win back Colin, software engineer who breaks things off after only six dates. Despite his lack of interest, Jane believes they are meant to be together and sets out to rekindle their relationship.

As the narrative unfolds, Jane finds her way back into Colin's life through his new girlfriend, Zoe. Zoe befriends Jane, opening the door for her to escalate her efforts to win Colin back. However, it soon becomes clear that Colin may not be the ideal partner Jane thought he was, and the twists and turns begin.

The plot is full of unexpected developments that kept me guessing until the very end. Although Jane's actions may be hard to empathize with, the story is compelling and engaging. The ending was particularly satisfying and surprising.

Thank you NetGalley and Minotaur Books for the advanced reader copy. This is my honest review.

Female villians ust hits differently. This book flips the usual stalker story on its head- because this time, the woman is the mastermind. Jane is convinced Colin is her soulmate, still loves her, even after he dumps her and starts dating perfect Zoe. Jane won't let that keep them apart, she quickly takes up the chance to befriend Zoe, get into their social circle, and soon, love turns into a deadly game. With Jane being the obessessive, unhinged narrator, this book is You meet Gone Girl meet Single White Female.

I'm always a sucker for a good stalker story from the POV of the deranged mind.

This book does an excellent job of *almost* making you agree with the MC, Jane, a girl who just doesn't understand why the love of her life would end things. After all, they had six blissful dates together. Can't Colin see they are meant to be? The perfect opportunity to help him realize his mistake lands in her lap when she befriends his latest girlfriend.

The book follows her misguided adventure, which slowly takes a couple of dark turns and has you wondering if anyone is going to have a happy ending.

Easy four out of five stars!

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC!

Thank you to Olivia Worley, St Martins Press/Minotaur books, and Netgalley for the arc of So Happy Together! This murder/mystery was extremely hard to put down! Just when you think you’ve figured it out there is another shocking twist! A must read for 2025!! This book publishes on 6/3/25!

I have to say that I couldn't put this down. I initially thought it was just a love story that ended badly, but I didn't realize how "bad" it was going to get. I think if you were a fan of YOU, you'd like this one as well. It's hard to even tell which character is the worst character in the book. HA!
This def is the anti-Valentine's Day book. It's about all the fears you have about people you meet coming true.
It was interesting being in the brain of someone, who is completely unhinged.
The twists started to get a little obvious, and some of the stuff fell together a little too easily. I struggled between 3 and 4 stars but since it kept me pretty engaged the whole time, I rounded up! Thank you to Olivia Worley, Netgalley, and the publishers for this eARC.

This was definitely a fun and unhinged ride. It was a little slower than I would've liked. The FMC was crazy obsessed which is was made the book so entertaining. There were many twists and turns but mostly towards the end, also mostly all happens towards the end. I felt it was a little rushed and not a big fan of the final reveal.
