So Happy Together was a wild ride with multiple unreliable, delusional characters who kept me guessing about who was the most untrustworthy. Jane's obsession with Colin was messy and chaotic and although some twists I saw coming, there were some I was totally surprised by. There was so much crazy in this book, and I really enjoyed it for just that reason.

Jane and Colin went on six dates, and she thought everything was perfect… until he ended it. But Jane just knows they’re meant to be together 💔 So she sets out to win him back, even when he starts dating someone new.
Enter Zoe: beautiful, artistic, and sweet. But that doesn’t stop Jane. She inserts herself into Zoe’s life, and soon the lines between love, obsession, and revenge start to blur. Are Jane and Colin soulmates? Or is there something darker hiding beneath the surface? 😵💫
This thriller is layered with lies, manipulation, and so many twists. Fast-paced and full of tension. Just when I thought I had it figured out, another surprise came out of nowhere.

Thank you NetGalley and St.Martins Publishing Group for the ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
Jane falls in love with Colin through a dating app. They date for a bit and he ends it. Jane next sees him with beautiful Zoe. Jane is twinged by jealousy and befriends Zoe to get closer to Colin. The novel is full of unrealistic twists that are predictable, but not likely.
I wanted to love this book as I thought the plot was good and some of the twists worked. But, it fell flat for me.

This book was phenomenal! I gave it a 4.5/5 stars. I absolutely loved it. Throughout the whole book, the only thing that was going through my head was that sometimes being Delulu is the only solulu. When you first start this book, you think that Jane is on a mission to get her get back from Colin by going out on a date with another guy but quickly you learn that she is stalking Colin because he had moved on with Zoe. When Zoe befriends Jane and becomes actual friends with each other, we are driven in a world of lies, secret, and murder. This book had me screaming for both Jane and Zoe to not be stupid and then as the plot twist unfold I was switching on who to believe and who were considered liars. Jane, Zoe, and Colin are in a triangle but we all know how that works one always have to be neglected.

𝐒𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 by author @olivia.worley is out today! This was such a fun, unputdownable, twisty, thriller that has lots of stalking, obsession, and unhinged characters.
I found this one to be more of a “popcorn thriller” rather than a serious thriller as it was fun and entertaining with alot of drama! This is a QUICK read, the story flows well and the chapters are short! There are tons of twists, some predictable and some unpredictable, and the story unfolds quick and strong!
If your a fan of the show YOU then this book is for you! Thank you so much to @minotaur_books for the gifted copy of this book and the cute matching candy hearts- swipe to see, these candies were ADORABLE! This book is available now👏🏼🎉!
𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒: “ For twenty-four-year-old Jane, finding love in New York City is even harder than making it as a playwright—especially when all her swiping through the apps leads to one meaningless connection after another.
So when Jane meets Colin, a sweet software engineer, she can’t believe her luck: they’re perfect for each other. Even when Colin breaks off their blooming relationship after six dates, Jane is certain this is just a stumbling block. She’ll get him back. She knows she will.
That is, until Colin starts dating Zoe—perfect, luminous, up-and-coming Brooklyn artist Zoe. Even worse, she’s actually kind of nice. But Zoe doesn’t have what it takes to love Colin. She’d never stay with him through thick and thin. All Jane has to do is prove it, and they’ll be so happy together.
But when Jane sneaks into Colin’s apartment, she makes a shocking discovery—one that will ensnare them all in a dark and complicated web of lies, secrets, and murder.”

Actual Rating 3.5
This work is pretty exposition heavy, but the exposition was solidly filled with action and emotion in a way that didn't make it feel boring or a slog to get through. This approach worked really well to get us in the mind of the narrator, and oh what a mind. The more I read from her, the more delusional straying into unhinged it got, and I loved it.
While this work isn't plot heavy, there were only a few instances (in the 40 - 60% range) when it felt like the pace was a bit too slow for me. This is one of those reads where if you become invested in the protagonist, you won't be able to put it down. But if you don't have a connection to the protagonist, it probably won't work for you.
If you like contemporary fiction with unhinged characters that's difficult to put down, then you may enjoy this one. As with most modern thrillers, be prepared to suspend that disbelief to enjoy this one as a quick vacation read. I saw a few folks say this was a just like the show "You," but since I've never seen it and know nothing about it, I can't comment (but keep that in mind as it may affect your enjoyment of this one). My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for allowing me to read this work. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

So Happy Together is a twisted tail of a manipulative love triangle. How these three people crossed paths is one of those miracles of fiction. When I first started reading this, I kept comparing it to You but with a female main character. The more I read, the more unreliable and completely unbalanced all of the characters became.
Jane is head over heels in love with her ex. She is convinced he still wants her even after their breakup after their 6th date. They are clearly meant for each other. No matter what Colin does to try to tell her otherwise, she almost immediately is able to spin his words in a way that means she is struggling and still wants her. Enter Colin's new girlfriend Zoe. As if him having a new girlfriend wasn't enough to allow Jane to cut ties, she begins a friendship with Zoe. The more Jane and Zoe interact, the wilder their situations are. Especially when they both realize that Colin may have had something to do with the death of his college girlfriend.
The twists in this book just keep adding up. If you are looking for a delusional character development story, then this is the one for you.

Jane and Colin are soulmates, the only problem is Colin is not aware of this fact ... and neither is Zoe, Colins girlfriend.
When Jane sees the opening to slide back into Colins life she takes it, but soon finds herself in over her head when she learns her prince Charming is hiding something.
This book was a real page-turner, I was invested in the story from the beginning, even though I found most of the characters quite annoying.
The plot kept me engaged, but I have mixed feelings about the twist ... it felt like it spun a little out of control.
I also struggled with Jane’s character; her actions and motivations felt inconsistent and in the end I found it hard to believe the direction her storyline went.
I did enjoy this one, but the ending of the book lost me.

Do you love a book with twists and turns? This book will keep you guessing until the very end. The book is fairly past paced, so buckle up

So Happy Together
by Olivia Worley
Jane and Colin are meant to be, he just doesn’t know it yet. Jane will do ANYTHING to get her ex back.
FMC is completely unhinged and delusional and she’s not the only one.
I really enjoyed this book and the ending was spectacular.

3-3.5 stars-Zoey and Jane are obsessed with the same man. Jane dated him first, but after just six dates she was dumped for Zoey. What a coincidence that Jane runs into them on a night out and gets into Zoey’s good graces. I loved the first half of the book, the part where Jane will do anything to get her man back (and of course Zoey will understand and they will all be bff’s happily ever after.)
Then things take a turn for the darker (and I am all in for the darker, but in this case it didn’t work for me. This was a little bit too much unreliable narrator and a little too much suspension of belief for my liking! I know others have enjoyed the book, it just wasn’t for me. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

Really enjoyed this one and definitely didn't see the ending coming. Jane seemed definitely delusional but there's a backstory and seems everyone else around her has issues too! Great ending twisties!

This book was just as good and I thought it was going to be!!! I did not guess a single twist. I love an unhinged, delusional female lead, and Jane was PERFECT! The twists caught me so off guard. I felt bamboozled.

Whoa. Okay, so I think this had the potential to be an incredible book. Parts of it were so well written and compelling (like the scene in the gallery of Zoe's show and Jane's script debut). Other parts fell a little flat and lacked depth. All three of the main characters were so weird and unreliable and a little creepy. But certain aspects lacked depth, Collin especially. I think maybe Worley tried to make too much happen, so the story was a tad all over the place. Gosh, it was so close to being amazing, but just missed the mark. I'm definitely going to keep my eye on Worley's books, though!
Many thanks to Netgalley and to St. Martins Press for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I love an unhinged and unreliable narrator. It’s fun to get into the brain of someone like that. I liked that this one felt like EVERYONE was a little bit unhinged and you didn’t know if they were or if it was just Jane being unreliable. I wasn’t super surprised by the ending but I love that the author kept you second guessing yourself until the very end. This is a book to go into without knowing too much. It’s a wild ride with lots of things going on. It’s a fun time. It’s insane and slightly all over the place but fun.

I listened to the audiobook of So Happy Together. Michelle H. Lee did a great job of keeping the suspense and portraying an unhinged character. If you like audiobooks, I would definitely recommend this one.

Jane has had a tough time finding love. So when her and Colin break up, she really has a hard time with it and wants nothing more than to get him back. A little obsessive. Yes. Well, maybe more than a little.
Jane plans to try to run into Colin and ends up doing so, but he’s with another woman. Jane ends up befriending the woman and boy do things get interesting from there!
Sit back and get ready for a wild ride. The ending will blow you away!!

Wow, this book remained surprising from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed being surprised by the shifts in the story that made it unpredictable from start to finish. It’s a great read, similar to other great thrillers, but also unique in its own way. Jane, Zoe and Colin made for a fascinating read as facets of their characters were revealed over time.

Main Characters:
-- Jane Williams – 24 years old, playwright who lives in New York City, edits college application essays for a living, graduated from New York University, focused on winning back Colin who broke up with her several weeks ago after six dates
-- Zoe Ember – an artist and influencer who lives in Brooklyn, Colin’s new girlfriend who befriends Jane
-- Colin Hillgrove – 24 years old, software engineer who graduated from Penn, tells Zoe that he and Jane we in the same dorm at Penn to explain how he knows her
-- Ben MacKenna – comedian, grew up with Colin, Colin’s best friend and current roommate
Based on the description, this book held a lot of potential. Jilted lover Jane sets her sights on winning back her ex Colin. In the process, she befriends his new girlfriend Zoe who thinks Jane and Colin know each other from living in the same dorm in college. Jane actually likes Zoe but believes that Colin is her soulmate. She clearly can’t have them both.
From the Prologue, we know that something has come to a head as the narrator, Jane, raises a knife. Chapter 1 takes us back three weeks with Jane on a date with Axel, who she met on a dating app. But she’s not interested in Axel. She has been going on dates every Friday for the past eight weeks at Colin’s favorite restaurant. Jane hopes to “accidentally” run into Colin to make him realize he made a mistake breaking things off.
After the date with Axel where Colin did she her, she scrolls through TikTok and happens across a video created by Colin’s date. Zoe’s video describes how to make your “Special Person” obsessed and how to manifest his desire to send you a text “like that.”
Jane is clearly the one obsessed, though, so much so that she begins stalking Zoe’s Instagram account the next morning. She discovers that Zoe is an up-and-coming artist with new gallery space. When she recognizes the logo of a coffee shop in Zoe’s Instagram post during a date with Colin, Jane searches for the shop closest to the gallery space. She knows that Colin likes long dates, so she takes the train into Brooklyn on the chance of running into him again.
While Jane forces herself not to look around the coffee shop for Colin, Zoe approaches her in line and invites her to join them at their table. Zoe wants to know what Colin was like in college because he told Zoe that’s how he knew Jane. Before they part ways, Zoe asks if they will see Jane that Friday at Colin’s birthday party. Colin absolutely wants nothing to do with Jane, but he can’t say anything without telling Zoe the truth. Jane, on the other hand, takes the opportunity to spend time with Colin to make him realize what he’s missing.
This gets us about 10% of the way through the story, and a lot happens in that 10%. However, the plot really slows down from there and becomes more about Zoe and Jane becoming friends, Zoe inviting Jane to things, Zoe trying to set Jane up with Colin’s roommate Ben. Jane tells Zoe about a play she wrote focused on Ophelia from Hamlet, and Zoe wants to read it because she always felt Ophelia was the most interesting character. And as much as Jane likes Zoe, she still maintains her focus on trying to win Colin back.
I was feeling like this would be a solid 3 stars. It held my interest, but it was slow. And the longer I read, the more I wanted the story to get moving. When it finally did, it became so chaotic (see spoilers below), and I really disliked the ending. It just feels like the author decided to throw everything into the mix to see what would stick. The author’s first two novels were young adult. This is her debut in adult fiction.
***SPOILERS*** SPOILERS***SPOILERS***
When the book starts, we assume that Jane is the only obsessed character. The entire story comes from her first-person point of view, so that makes sense. But when every character becomes a whack job with no rhyme or reason, that’s just an epic fail for me.
Let’s talk about Jane first. Jane truly is obsessed with Colin, but we have no idea why. When his roommate Ben warns her to be careful, she ignores him. When she finds a knife wrapped in a bloody sweatshirt in Colin’s drawer and overhears him yelling at someone on a phone call, she ignores all of it and chooses to still pursue him. When she sees him standing over his dead roommate with a knife, she actually helps him make Ben’s death look like a burglary gone bad.
Colin seems to be being stalked by a mysterious “Leigh,” who reaches out asking if he misses her. Zoe and Jane discover that Leigh is Ben’s ex from college who drowned in a bathtub, and they suspect Colin of killing her. After Ben’s death, Colin goes home. Zoe invites Jane to go with her to his hometown. While Colin and Zoe go for a walk, Jane finds a shoebox full of information about Leigh, so she becomes confident that Colin DID kill Leigh. Jane and Zoe leave and decide they will confront Colin to get him to confess to Leigh’s murder at Zoe’s art show—a show that will also feature part of Jane’s play where Ophelia…drowns in a bathtub.
Zoe turns out to have been Leigh’s best friend and tells Jane she always believed Colin killed Leigh. She came across Colin on the dating app and figures he dated Jane because she looks a little like Leigh. Leigh introduced Zoe to Colin as Zee only once, so she pursues him, confident he won’t remember her. She also started stalking him as Leigh and researching Jane. When Zoe discovers that Jane’s father killed himself after her mother died, she suspects that Jane actually killed him (she did). Because of that, she befriends Jane, thinking she can use Jane to get back at Colin.
In the end, Zoe drugs Colin at the art show and ties him up in an abandoned warehouse. She and Jane confront him about everything. He tries telling Jane that he loves her and that Zoe manipulated him. When Jane asks why he ended things with her, he says he thinks he wanted her to be Leigh but then he realized that wasn’t fair. He tells Jane that sometimes she made it too easy for him and that’s always been kind of a turn-off for him. That’s when she kills him?
Fast forward to six months later, Jane moved in with Zoe. Jane wrote and Zoe is directing an off-Broadway play. Colin hasn’t been seen since the art show, and his parents received an e-mail from his account confessing to Leigh’s and Ben’s murders.
Zoe leaves early to get ready for the show, and Jane looks for something in Zoe’s nightstand drawer. She finds Ben’s phone as well as Zoe’s copy of Hamlet. Tucked inside is an article about Leigh’s death. The article confirms that Leigh died of a drug overdose, which is what Colin told her before she killed him. So now Jane knows that Colin was innocent and that Zoe killed Ben, but she just puts everything back in the drawer and closes it.
WHAAAAAT?!?!
Like I said, too much chaos. Do not recommend. 🙂↔️

Jane is a struggling playwright in NYC. She is obsessed with Colin who dumped her several months ago but he has moved on with Zoe, an artist and influencer. In the beginning of the story, it seems to be a typical stalker tale with Jane pursuing Colin constantly. Worley includes some twists which made the reading both engrossing and propulsive. I was on the edge of my seat until and conclusion. This is a great book for those who enjoy psychological thrillers. It is best to go into blind. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC.

This was a good read, interesting & kept my attention. Recommend!
