So Happy Together is a darkly addictive story about obsession, heartbreak, and the delusion of happily ever after. Jane, a playwright, falls hard after just a few dates with Colin—so when he ghosts her, she refuses to let go. Instead, she crafts a plan to win him back… only to discover he’s already moved on with Zoe, a confident up-and-coming artist.
What follows is a wild ride of manipulation, misplaced hope, and twisted friendship. Jane is an unhinged but fascinating character—equal parts tragic and cringeworthy. You’ll want to shake her, but you also can’t look away. And as bodies start dropping, the suspense ramps up fast.
Olivia Worley keeps the tension high and the twists coming, right up until the final gasp-worthy reveal. It’s unsettling, sharp, and surprisingly emotional. Perfect for fans of psychological suspense and messy, complicated women.

After six dates, Jane just knows Colin is The One. He's caring and sweet and he just gets her. And she gets him. So when he suddenly, with little explanation, just breaks up with her - she's shocked, crushed, and not taking no for an answer.
She waits for weeks, going to their "first date" spot - with other dates - to try to catch him again. It takes weeks but she finally does. To her surprise, his new girlfriend Zoe latches onto her. She's pulled into Colin's world from the perspective of a friend and she gets to see new sides to him.
And this part was great. Part 1 had great vibes of an ultimate dating nightmare stalker. I loved how creepy it was and how much I just shook my head at some of the things she said. But somewhere in Part 2, the story made a few leaps and it lost me. I still knew some twists that were coming but they were confusing, muddied, and I was getting lost in some of the back and forth. Ultimately, those points stuck in my head and I struggled to love it.
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

This was such a fun book, I could not stop reading it, I just needed to read “one more” chapter to know what was going to happen next, and then “one more” and then “just one more”.
So Happy Together, follows heartbroken Jane, who is determined to win her new ex, Colin back. Jane doesn’t understand why Colin ended it, since they are very obviously soulmates and destined to be together, so she MUST show him how wrong he was! A curveball is thrown into her plan though when she realizes Colin has already moved on with completely perfect Zoe. Jane will not be dismissed though, and she just takes this new problem as another thing she must solve. Things get messy, a little stalkerish, but really who is stalking who?
This book had so many twists and turns, it reminded me in the very best way of a Frieda McFadden novel. Short chapters, an unreliable, “You” reminiscent narrator, and a love triangle that is quite intense, I devoured this book in basically one binge read.
Thank you to NetGalley, Olivia Worley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

We are following a crazy ex-girlfriend FMC with an unhealthy obsession for her very short term boyfriend. She somehow becomes a part of his life after their break and it was SO fun to follow it along that I didn't even try to guess how it was going to unfold.
If you are looking for a fast paced book with an unhinged FMC, look no further!

Oh boy did I gobble this up! Page after page of messiness, of chaos, of craziness and oh man it was so fun! No slow burn to be had here. Buckle up and get ready for an unhinged bingeworthy read!!

This was somewhat of a slog for me. We first meet Jane after she's been dumped by Colin. Jane is a 24-year-old aspiring playwright who becomes fixated on Colin after a brief six-date relationship. When Colin moves on with the seemingly perfect Zoe, Jane's obsession intensifies, leading her down a path of deception and unexpected alliances.
This could have been a compelling exploration of how love can blur into obsession, but the author spends a lot of time describing Jane's inane inner thoughts. Everything Colin does that indicates he doesn't like her, she takes for affection, to the point where she tries to become best friends with Colin's new girlfriend, Zoe. Of course everyone who reads this is thinking 'Move on Girl'!!! But Jane can't move on and keeps up the game until the very end. Most of the characters were unlikeable so I didn't really care if Jane got Colin back, and Colin himself was an undeveloped character. He wears soft sweaters and glasses and is everyman charming. Nothing really sticks out about Colin that makes him obsession worthy. He's an everyman hipster in NYC in his late 20s/early 30s. This type of plot has been done better many other times, just not here.

Ahh, I’m a bit conflicted about this one! It had a lot of potential, and there were definitely parts I enjoyed—the concept is unique, and some moments were genuinely engaging.
But then there were sections where the pacing felt uneven. Also, I understand why Jane's character was written the way she was.. intense, obsessive, and deeply flawed, but it often tipped too far into exaggerated territory. Instead of feeling complex, she felt too over the top, which made her come off as more cringe than compelling.
I followed what the author was trying to portray: a story about fixation, delusion, and the dark side of romantic idealism and while it didn't fully hit the mark for me, it was still an interesting read with some clever twists. Not perfect, but enjoyable overall.

So Happy Together follows Jane, a woman who’s deeply fixated on her ex, Colin, after just six dates. She inserts herself into his life again via his new girlfriend, Zoe, and from there, things spiral into melodrama, murder, and literary references that feel more distracting than deep.
I think the author aimed for dark, twisty suspense, but I mostly found it muddled and exhausting. Jane isn't compellingly unhinged like characters in You; she’s just erratic, and being in her head gets old fast. Colin, the object of her obsession, is so bland it’s hard to understand the fixation. Zoe had potential, but even her storyline felt thin.
There were glimmers of intrigue, but the pacing dragged, and the Ophelia references nearly made me close the book. By the end, I was mostly relieved it was over.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #StMartinsPress for the book #SoHappyTogether by #OliviaWorley. This book is super good with a twist I never saw coming. Jane thinks she has found her soulmate in Colin. Even though they only went out on 6 dates before he broke it off, she is convinced she can get him back. When Jane befriends Zoe, his current and perfect girlfriend, she still thinks her and Colin have a chance. She finds something disturbing in Colin’s bedroom that only spirals out of control. Will she be happy with Colin again?

Jane falls head over heels for Colin. After two months of dating, Colin breaks up with Jane. Jane becomes obsessed with Colin. Colin begins dating Zoe. Zoe befriends Jane. Jane uses Zoe to get to Colin. Cue one turbulent, fast-paced and cringe-worthy read that will have you wondering how this You-esque book will shake out.
The book’s premise sounded so fun to read, and while I enjoyed it for its entertainment value, I felt that it could have delved into the mental health aspect of the characters a little more. The ending was okay and the characters were fine, but don’t go into this book expecting much depth. It’s perfect if you're looking for a fun escape with messy, dramatic characters and unhinged plotlines.

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This book was a solid read. The main character, Jane, was completely unhinged. Being in her head was cringeworthy and fascinating. She was obsessed and irrational. However, I found the other characters fell flat, and I never got a true sense of they were.
As for the plot, it was entertaining but convenient. So many outlandish things happened that made this one come together, so prepare to suspend your disbelief. It was predictable, yet I still wanted to read it all to see where this was going to go.
Fans of unhinged MCs, relationships that only exist in one person’s head, and books with female friendships will enjoy this one.

3.5 stars--After finishing this book, I couldn’t stop thinking: What did I just read? It started off strong with some serious stalker vibes, and I was completely hooked. I don’t want to give too much away, but the second half left me a bit confused. It took a turn I definitely wasn’t expecting. I usually love a good twist, but for some reason, this one didn’t quite land for me. Still, overall, it was a fun and engaging read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this advanced reader’s copy.

This book had so much going on and kept me so confused. The premise of the book just fell flat for me.

This book had a ton of potential but some of the plot holes or lack of depth just didn't do it for me. I love thrillers and this book had it's share of twists and turns, it also didn't seem very thought out with the details.
Jane is our FMC, who went on a few dates with our MMC, Colin. Jane believes everything is perfect, all sunshine and roses, until Colin breaks up with her. Jane is blind sides and starts stalking Colin, she finds out he has a new girlfriend Zoe and after befriending her Jane finds herself living within Colins inner circle, which isn't all it's made out to be. Colin isn't the squeaky clean perfect boy he's made out to be. There's so many lies that I never knew who was telling the truth, not even at the end did I have a good feeling. I guess that truly makes this a good thriller but wow I still have so many questions. I needed a few questions to recover and think before I could even pick up a new book.
I can't say too much without spoiling parts of the book but Colins character was so flat that I couldn't imagine a girl being that hung up on him. The real hold on me with the relationship that Jane and Zoe shared, straight to the end, like where do we go from here?
I do recommend this book to anyone who needs a quick thriller read, this was a good cleanse for me after all the fluffy romance I've been reading.
So Happy Together comes out June 3, 2025!
Rounded up to 3.5 stars

Two women. One deeply mediocre man. Endless psychological chaos. If given the chance, would spiral again.
So Happy Together is what happens when obsession turns into alliance, truth curdles into horror, and the ending leaves you blinking at the wall, whispering, “What did I just read… and why did I love it?”
At the center of this deliciously twisted story is a woman unhealthily fixated on her ex. Not uncommon in thrillers—but Olivia Worley doesn’t stop there. Enter: the current girlfriend. But instead of the usual rivalry, we get something far more disturbing—they befriend each other. Yes. They team up. Not because women supporting women is a trend, but because there’s something about this bland, forgettable, possibly walking red flag of a man that neither of them can let go of… and what they eventually learn about him? It’s not just shocking—it’s chilling.
The real genius of this book is how it takes a seemingly ordinary love triangle and transforms it into a psychological minefield. You start out thinking, “This man? Really?” and end up thinking, “Ohhh. OH. Okay. Burn it all down.” By the time the final twist slithers into place, the story isn’t about him anymore. It’s about the women—their rage, their damage, their choices. And it’s deeply, darkly satisfying.
Sure, it’s a little weird that they work together. But in this warped emotional ecosystem? It weirdly works. Because sometimes the only person who understands your descent into madness… is someone else who’s already halfway down the staircase.
If you like your thrillers served with a side of psychological warfare and an aftertaste of “I may never trust anyone again,” So Happy Together is your next read. The ending? Let’s just say it doesn’t ask for permission. It grins and drops the mic.

So Happy Together is a fast read. Jane and Colin are a couple of nearly two months until the unfortunate break up. Unfortunate for Jane, that is. She is so head over heels for Colin that every waking minute is consumed with thoughts of him. She begins 'lightly' stalking him. You know, she happens to be at places where they by chance run into each other. Then it turns into something more when she takes a close look at his new girl. This started to give me anxiety while reading about her obsession. Girl, seriously move on! Do NOT go to his birthday party, nothing positive can come from this. I can't stop reading knowing full well what's in store!
It's fun and a little cringe worthy read.

So Happy Together By Olivia Worley
So Happy Together is a fast paced messy chaotic twisty thriller about obsession.
The FMC is very unlikable. At least for most of the story she is. She is obsessed with someone she went on a handful of dates with before he broke it off with her. She is not quite in touch with reality when she makes plans to get him back. I’d say if you like Freida McFadden type books you would like this one.
4 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This novel is a new fictional thriller, in which the main character Jane becomes obsessed with Colin. I really struggled to build connection with these characters as there was not much character building. The novel focus is on Jane and Colin dating a few times and him breaking up with her however, she will not stop there. There are twisting, turns throughout the noble, however the storyline seems to just be jumbled. I really struggled to follow the story. The book was enjoyable however, I just wish it had been written a little differently.

"It's a beautiful thing, watching someone die. I never understood it until now-except he was wrong, in a way, because no one's dead yet."
Jane is a mid-twenties playwright living in New York who just wants to find love - and she thinks she does when she meets Colin, but after six dates, he breaks things off. When Jane casually bumps into him while he's on another date - with ✨Zoe from Brooklyn✨ - Jane is willing to do anything, including befriending his new girlfriend, to win him back.
SO HAPPY TOGETHER by Olivia Worley was a whirlwind, roller coaster, spinning teacup doozy of a book!
The characters were unlikeable (in the best ways) and the chaos that was stirred up was definitely done through questionable means. If you're looking for a thriller that explores the world of modern dating (in nyc no less) then look no further!
This story was fun, unhinged and, the perfect companion for a weekend binge read (with an IPA on the side).
I've read all of Worley's work at this point and this book has me so excited for what she has coming up for us next!
Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Minotaur Books for the early copy for review - out June 3!

3.5 rounded up! It was engaging and I enjoyed the twists. I wish that the characters weren’t all over the place at times to keep me hooked. I also feel like I wasn’t that connected to the male main character to understand why Jane was so obsessed! Overall a good read that I would recommend.
