I listened to the audiobook for this one and while I liked the mystery story quite a bit, but the book itself was a little hard to read at times. The narrator did a good job bringing the character to life, but that character was hard to like and even listen to. Jane is in love and the fact that her boyfriend broke up with her before they could even become official is a minor detail. She creates plans to show him what he is missing and accidentally bumps into his new girlfriend Zoey. Zoey befriends Jane which works for her motivation to convince Colin they are meant to be soulmates. Jane stubbornly turns every red flag into a promise for something good to come which was hard for me. I don’t like watching someone get gaslit and this character almost did it to herself. I will admit the twist at the end was excellent and helped make up for a lot of my earlier frustration. Overall this book wasn’t bad and I’d try this author again.

Thank you for the advance reader. Copy of so happy together from netgalley. I enjoyed reading this book and it was the first I've read by this author. I recommend it.

Wow, So Happy Together was absolutely fucked and twisted—in the best way possible. What starts as a seemingly sweet, modern romance quickly spirals into a dark, unpredictable thriller full of lies, secrets, and even murder. Jane’s obsession with Colin and the messy love triangle with Zoe hooked me fast, but the shocking twists kept me on edge throughout.
If you’re into psychological thrillers with a creepy, addictive vibe like You or Promising Young Woman, this book will grab you and won’t let go. Definitely not your average love story—more like a deliciously twisted mindfuck.

Jane is obsessing over her recent ex Colin when she discovers he has anew girlfriend, Zoe. Zoe is a beautiful artist & Jane immediately kicks her plan to get Colin back into high gear. Jane and Zoe become friends and soon Zoe is around Colin all of the time, discovering secrets about a past college girlfriend of Colin's that has passed away. Did Colin kill her? When another person winds up dead, all signs point to Colin.
I liked this book overall but parts are very repetitive. Jane is constantly obsessing over Colin & misreading his action. The reader wonders how she can be so dumb. There are a few twists at the end, which is always good.
Thank you to NetGalley, author Olivia Worley and St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books for this ARC.

This was all over the place. I think it missed a few edits. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for read and review

I enjoyed this one so much! I love stalker novels and this was that, with unexpected developments! Thank you so much for the arc!

This book has been compared to the show “you” and while there has been some similarities there was not enough to keep me invested. It was filled with twists but not in a good way.. the book was predictable and just was not for me.
Thank you to Netgalley and to the publishers for allowing me to read this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a fun thriller with major crazy ex-girlfriend vibes with Jane. She is over the top obsessed with Colin who she believes is her soulmate. Her actions are totally questionable and even more so when she befriends Colin's GF, Zoe.
The thriller is twisty and entertaining. Michelle H. Lee did a great job on the narration.
Thank you @macmillan.audio @minotaur_books for a copy of this.

- Messy women, morally grey decisions, and one hell of a plot twist..
Okay so—what did I just read?
This book was like watching a slow-motion car crash where every passenger is lying, unwell, or dangerously charming—and I loved every second.
We follow Jane, a 24-year-old aspiring playwright who goes on six dates with a guy named Colin and decides he might be the one. Problem? He ghosts her and starts dating the flawless Zoe. So what does Jane do? Move on? Work on herself? No. She befriends Zoe. Casually. No big deal. 😅 It sounds ridiculous, and it is—but that’s what makes it work. Jane is chaotic, obsessive, delusional… and completely magnetic to read. I couldn’t stop flipping pages, even when I was shouting “No no noooo Jane, STOP” in my head like I was watching a horror movie. But honestly? I was invested.
✔️What works:
• The dark humor. It walks a fine line between thriller and satire, and somehow nails both.
• The pacing. Fast, twisty, and full of “wait—WHAT?!” moments.
• There were moments where I questioned every character’s sanity—and mine.
❌What didn’t quite land for me:
• Some of the plot gets very twisty, and while I was into it, others might find it a little too much.
• her obsession with Colin in general - like he’s not worth it babe. 🚩
⸻
This book gives me the show “You” vibes - Read it for the drama, stay for the chaos, and don’t trust anyone—not even yourself!!
Would definitely recommend if you love:
• Morally gray female leads
• Obsession-fueled plotlines
• Thriller novels that embrace the chaos and don’t apologize for it

Newly single Jane can't get over ex, Colin. When she runs into him and his new girlfriend, she finds herself befriending the comer Zoe.
This was one twisty thriller!
First person thrillers where you have to question not only what they are telling you but whether or not you like them is a new trend in thrillers. Worley does this really well in this one. Jane is obsessive and makes very questionable decisions for all the wrong reasons. But you still find yourself supporting her as the anti-hero. I wanted her to find love and to find friendship. I realized early that you can't trust anyone in this book, which came in handy as I was reading. Colin and Zoe are also questionable. I found myself not liking them at various points of the story. But you know it's a good thriller when even with all of that, you still really enjoy the story. This one brings out the worst in people, but you still want to know what is happening.
I also really liked the Hamlet connection in this. That was a fun addition.
All in all, this was a great thriller that really keeps you guessing!
Thank you to the author and publisher for the gifted copy!

This book was kind of anticlimactic for me. It was good, but predictable and the twist didn’t knock me off my feet. Jane bothered me for various reasons throughout as did Colin and Zoe. I liked Ben and wish we got a bit more from him and his death. It was just two girls obsessed with the same guy for very different reasons that then end up trauma bonded best friends over everything they went through together and ignoring the truth right in front of them (at least one of them).

Thank you to the publisher and the author for this arc. The author did a great job with this book, but it simply wasn't my cup of tea all the way through. However, I am glad to have read it and grateful to be sent this arc.

"So Happy Together" follows Jane who is stalking her ex Colin and his current girlfriend, Zoe. Jane knows that she and Colin have a connection and is upset he dumped her. Now she's focused on showing him what he's missing. When she runs into him and Zoe, Zoe takes a liking to her and now Jane is front and center to their relationship and how she can show Colin she is perfect for him. Worley has created a classic thriller with twists that will keep you happily engaged well into the night The plot is full of unexpected developments that kept me guessing until the very end. Although Jane's actions may be hard to empathize with, the story is compelling and engaging. The ending was particularly satisfying and surprising. The reveals come quickly and in different directions starting at about the 70-75% mark. Both Jane and Zoe are interesting and layered characters who will keep readers guessing until the very end. Zoe is beautifully written, and I can't say much about her without giving too much away, but she is the MVP of this book. Thank you to Olivia Worley, Minotaur Books and Netgalley for offering me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. I am eagerly anticipating her next book.

Super fun read! Well-plotted, twisty (and twisted!) until the end, and finishing on a note both funny and chilling. Will look out for more from this author!

Three and a half stars rounded up. Having read Olivia Worley’s first two novels (and enjoying them) I was excited when I saw she had a new book coming out soon. Entitled “So Happy Together” this new book is set in New York City and follows Jane, Colin, and Zoe.
Jane is a twenty-four year old playwright. Although Jane had only six dates with Colin before he broke things off with her, she believes he’s just confused. No matter either that he’s now dating Zoe. Jane truly believes she and Colin are meant to be together.
The first few chapters of the book are pretty much what a reader would expect from reading the description. Jane would sound so gullible and delusional as she described the relationship she had with Colin and what his actions in present day meant. Then things took a couple surprising, but welcome turns for the better. I enjoyed the short chapters, but I tended to read the entire book with an air of skepticism. I could’ve done without the epilogue; I felt like it detracted from the couple chapters that preceded it.
Overall, I recommend this book although, so far, I enjoyed her debut novel “People to Follow” the most. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC.

Well this was so much fun. I love a story about obsession and unhinged women and this delivered. Its pretty twisty and I binged it in one sitting. Is it totally believable?! No way. Are there a few potholes? Sure. Was it freaking fun? Hell to the yes.
I never quite knew where the story was going, it was completely turbo speed paced, and I thought it perfect for summer. The characters are all unpredictable and it kept me hooked. I dunno what else you can ask for in a campy thriller?!

At first, this book seems like it is going to be about this horrible, unlikable main character who is stalking this poor guy whom she briefly dated and now is convinced is her soulmate. However, it turns out to be a lot more complicated than that. This book has so many twists and turns that you never know who to root for from one moment to the next. That keeps it exciting, but also a bit exasperating.
Of the three main characters, Jane, the stalkerish main character; Colin, the object of her affection; and Zoe, his current girlfriend, Colin is the least well-drawn and the most mysterious. He is mostly seen through the eyes of the other two. Thus, the surprising friendship between Jane and Zoe, who seemingly should be rivals for Colin's affection, plays a central role in the plot. However, nothing and no one is quite what they seem in this very dark and gripping story. Even in the end, you are not sure who to root for. If you like a book where nothing turns out to be what you thought, and there is no fine line dividing good from evil, you should enjoy this.

Multifaceted characters, each grappling with a loss of some sort, drive the plot forward at a brisk pace. The author maintains an effortless narrative flow, weaving unexpected moments that keep the reader engaged and surprised throughout the story.
This review is entirely voluntary and my personal opinions.

Many thanks to NetGalley, St Martin's Press | Minotaur Books and Macmillan Audio for gifting me both a digital and audio ARC of this wild thriller by Olivia Worley, with the audiobook narrated by Michelle H. Lee. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4 stars!
Jane has only had 6 dates with Colin, but that's enough to know that he's the one. So when he dumps her and starts dating Zoe, Jane is sure she can convince him that they belong together, even though Jane actually begins to like Zoe. But when Jane breaks into Colin's apartment, she discovers something that will change all their lives.
Welcome to crazy town - the good kind of crazy - when nothing is as it seems, which is what makes this story fun. So suspend real life and delve into this one as blind as possible, because the twists and turns keep coming. A story of NYC ambition, obsession, with unreliable narrators. The audiobook narration was great - plus that cover!

This was a good book, however, the ending just didn’t make sense to me. Maybe I missed something, but that was disappointing to me. I would still recommend this book and maybe the ending will be better for others.
