This book was absolutely amazing. The storyline completely captures you with all the events taking place as well as character growth. I loved Khamari and Texas and all that they have to go through in order to grow. Definitely check out if you get emotionally invested in your books! Can’t wait to read more as the story continues

“Soul of the Stone” serves as the sequel to “Sign of the Slayer,” picking up right from where the first book concluded. I completed both books in just two days! The storyline is captivating, and the witty banter adds to the enjoyment. The authors’ humor shines through, especially in the clever chapter titles. Book two is packed with events, showcasing beautiful emotional and spiritual growth. I found myself tearing up for Khamari and Texas and all they endure. I anticipated a heartbreaking conclusion, knowing it wouldn’t be straightforward—this journey has only just begun. I eagerly await the next installment in this series.
If you’re in search of an engaging YA fantasy, this series is an excellent choice!

This was a great sequel in the American Slayer Society series, it had what I enjoyed from Sign of the Slayer and improved on it with this world. The characters felt like they were supposed to and enjoyed the overall story being told in this. It uses the vampire element perfectly and glad I got to read this. Sharina Harris always does a great job and I wanted more.

I enjoyed the read. The characters were amazing and the plot easy to follow. I read it over the course of the weekend on and off and had no difficulty jumping right back into it.

We pop back in to Raven and the team as the regroup after the drama of the end of book one. Shout out to one of the best in-story recaps I've read in a while! We are able to get a refresher on what happened without it feeling out of place. I enjoyed the pacing and plotline of this book, maybe even more so than in book one. Raven starts to embrace her new powers and her role within everything. There is so much activity in the third act, and omg the last 5%!!! I can't wait to see where this goes.

Thanks to Entangled Teen and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review!

I absolutely loved the first book and this next installment was even better. I found the lore in this one really fascinating. And the world building was amazing. I felt like I was right there with the characters. This book pulls you in and captivates you from beginning to end. If you like vampire books then I highly recommend this!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a good follow-up to the first book and picks up where the last one ended. I know YA vampire books especially with Black vampires/vampire slayers are popular at the moment so if you like that you should read this/start this series. This second book continues with more lore and worldbuilding, especially with the history of the vampires and the slayers. We find out more about the voices of the fmc here and how they relate to the world and vampires. I enjoyed the lore in this and how it seem to draw from diverse African/black American cultures and history.

Like I said in the first book I liked the diversity in characters and seeing black romance in books. It's still sort of a forbidden romance between enemies and lovers. I feel like this one also ended on a high note so I hope there will be another one. Thank you entangled teen for this arc.

- Black romance
